The format for these reading journals is just the best!! The paper is wonderfully, softly textured and thick enough to use heavy gel pens with no bleed-through. I need one in every fun color!

I love that this book feels high-quality. Overall, I'm really enjoying it and the fact that it's personalized. My biggest complaint is the paper, which bleeds with a fountain pen. Given the quality of the book, I was hoping I could use a fancy pen with it, but that isn't what I'd hoped. I wish I could remove some of the extras from this book's customization, like the address book and the lending tracker. I won't use those. I also wish they hadn't included the extra quote pages between the book reviews. I think they're a nice touch, but as someone who reads a lot, I would rather have had those spaces for another book review. You can only review 32 books in this journal, where, without the extras, I think you could have done 35-40. As a high-volume reader, those things would have made this a 5. That being said, of all the reading journals I've seen. This has been my favorite so far. There are a couple of questions I'm likely to customize myself manually because I think they're a little repetitive or just won't help me trigger my memory of the books, but overall I'm very happy.
