Oxo Chopper issue
I had a oxo chopper that I had for over 14 years, I loved it. It finally broke and I bought the exact one again...it was never as good as the first and broke after about a year. I wrote the company that I was disappointed that I had bought a dud. They shipped me their newest version. I couldn't believe it. It's good to know there are companies that care about their customers.

My experience with Oxo was completely different from other reviews I read. I had an issue with the carafe on my 8 cup brewer and the customer service rep was very helpful. They sent me a brand new carafe, some of their descaler, and a new shower head for the unit. People complaining about prices that are different from those advertised need to realize that they are buying from a reseller, not Oxo. If you choose to do that and you have an issue, it's unlikely that you're going to get the same level of support that I got directly from Oxo. Oxo stood behind their product which is what any consumer should expect. I would also rate the 8 cup brewer very high because it's extremely easy to use and makes great coffee. I think some people just live to complain about everything.
Cannot Cancel or Correct Orders - Able to Return
Update to original review: I received the order and called OXO about returning the product. Reached live support immediately who sent me a return label. While I still am bothered by their return policy, I like their products and will order from them again.
Original review: Unable to correct or cancel order within 10 minutes of placing it. Apparently, I'm supposed to refuse delivery. I unsucessfully tried chat, contact page, phone call, and tried to cancel Pay Pal payment.
Their website showed the cost of a product they said was new at $159 and the exact same product, with over 1000 reviews, was $96 on Amazon, indicating the original price as what Oxo claimed was the sale price.
I purchased an OXO 9 Cup Coffee Maker…
I purchased an OXO 9 Cup Coffee Maker and maintained it as recommended. I left it plugged in because it has a digital clock display. I returned home one day to find condensation in the water reservoir which was strange because I had not used the coffee maker that week and always left the top open after use to dry it out. The clock went out and base was hot to the touch, so clearly there was an issue and a potential for a fire. I unplugged it and have not used it since. The other two items plugged in to that outlet were working fine.
I don’t want a replacement but I do want to warn others of the potential issues. I’m thankful this happened on a day where I got home in time to find this was happening and unplug the machine.
I have a Mr. Coffee and a Cuisinart coffee maker that have lasted many years (20 for Mr. Coffee, over 10 for the Cuisinart). I don’t have an issue with a coffee maker just dying on me, but I do have an issue with it suddenly heating up so much that I can’t touch the base and have to worry about a potential house fire.

I would give - stars if I could. I placed an order through the website on 6-16-24. Was told would receive 3-5 days. NOTHING. Emailed....Nothing Called during regular hours Nothing! Finally get ahold of them to be told they changed warehouses to Texas and the systems are not currently tracking! The guy was non apologetic at all! He said If I want to cancel the order once it finally ships he can have it reverted back to them but he does not know when it will ship! Ugh... Glad I paid through PayPal I will be filing a dispute. Today is 6/29/24 still nothing!

Do not order from their website!!! I placed an order 10 days ago and have received no updates about the status of the order. I called customer service and was told they have a new system and cannot access any order information or cancel the order. I randomly received 3 items of the 13 I ordered a few days ago and the packing list was from Pottery Barn Kids and listed all the items as shipped! I have no idea if and when I will receive the rest of the order. Worst order experience ever!!!
OXO POP storage containers
This review is on the OXO 5 piece POP container set.
This container set was purchased at BJ's warehouse club. It consisted of a 4.4, 2.8 and 1.7 quart container plus two integral scoops. They were purchased on sale for $24.95. I purchased these thinking that they would be perfect to store both whole bean and ground coffee. The 4.4 qt perfect size for 2 pounds of whole bean coffee, the 2.8 qt would be a perfect size for one pound of whole beans and the 1.7 qt perfect for a 12 ounce bag of ground coffee.
They are stylish and construction seemed very heavy duty and the scoops proved to come in handy. However after just a short period of time, 3 months actually, the rubber seal on the lids fail to provide any type of air tight seal. Either the push button mechanism on the lid has worn enough that it does not provide enough tension to push the rubber seal against the container or the rubber seal itself has worn out.
In conclusion while these OXO POP containers initially showed potential their service life was very short and for this reason they are not recommended. There are less expensive better alternatives available.

I bought the salt & pepper grinders because they are one of the few that use ceramic for their grinding surfaces. We didn't want plastic because the plastic particles end up in your food. Anyways, after years of use, the pepper grinder broke. I wrote to the company & sent pictures, they IMMEDIATELY got me a replacement. No arguing or anything, they were great to work with. Because of this experience, now my kids went out and bought the OXO salt & pepper grinders. Great, quality product too.

Oxo makes good products but DO NOT BUY DIRECT.
They are horrible customer service - they ship late and do not offer an adequate resolution to their error.
If you do buy, go to a retailer that cares about basic customer service. Christmas gift ordered well in advance with extra paid for 2 day shipping. Arrived well after Christmas.
Its a shame because the products are good.
10 Cup Oxo coffee maker poor choice
We bought an oxo 10 cup coffee maker around five months ago. We paid a little north of $180 and, while we thought this a bit expensive, we went ahead and got it as we have had good experiences with oxo products before. However, this was the first time we had gotten and electronic oxo product. Unfortunately, this coffee maker died after only five months, naturally right after the window for returning this item had closed. Very disappointed in what is obviously poor quality control. For a simple product like a coffee maker to die in less than half a year, and having the audacity to charge almost two hundred dollars for it, is pretty eff'd up. We just went back to a Mr. Coffee for $71 on Amazon. Just goes to show that you don't always get what you pay for, and a higher price doesn't always mean a better product. Oh, and the one star? Only because I couldn't give anything less.
DEAD coffee grinder
OXO knows that their conical burr coffee bean grinder does not handle dark roast coffee beans well at all. In fact, they hint a few times in their marketing, but still sell this product. So, when I told them to correct their marketing, they offered a discounted refund.
This product will grind dark roast beans, if and only if, you clean the grinder upper burr, lower burr and the very narrow discharge notch after each and EVERY time you use it! Gee, do they put that in their marketing materials?
BOTTOM LINE: This company does not give a rats ass about customers. They can give me $80, but will make 10 times that, or more, from selling this POS.
Oxo wastes A TON of plastic
I work for a major retailer that sells Oxo products. It is disturbing how much plastic Oxo uses when shipping their products. Literally every single item is wrapped in plastic, which usually does not get recycled. Please stop supporting plastic wasting environmental killing companies. The brand Figmint barely uses any plastic when shipping their products. It is disgraceful how wasteful Oxo is.
Terrible company, ripping people off
Purchased shower caddy from there website on Nov 11 paid with PayPal the took my money right away They said they shipped the item Nov 13 but the tracking # showed nothing after few days I sent an email no response then chatted threw their online chat she then said she could not help me that she needed to send this matter through email. Nov 21, I received a response them telling me it got lost and they didn’t have the item in stock and asked would I want my money back or wait for the item to be in stock, I replied I wanted my money back on Nov 21, never received a response or refund so I filed a complaint through PayPal Nov 25 still no response I have to wait until Dec 7 for PayPal to decide what to do.

I placed an order with OXO for a 12-cup coffee maker on 9/20/23. It never shipped, and it wasn't on backorder. After a chat, because they provide no phone numbers. I received an email stating your package is on the way 9/29/23. Fed Ex showed it was never picked up (screen shots). Tried to cancel the order, OXO stated, sorry, once placed it cannot be cancelled. The procedure is to do an RMA once received (waste of time). I complained to my credit card company and on 10/5/23 OXO send an email notifying me that I would be refunded $270 dollars. On 10/17/23, OXO sent an email stating my package was picked up by FedEx (screen shot), but there's a delay. I still have not received my $270 credit and am wondering what is going on. This company has issues.
The Best Customer Service Experience I've Ever Had
I had the 12 pound pull-out kitchen scale that I used with no problem for about 5 years. It was supposed to weigh down to 1 gram but would not give a read-out until 2 grams were placed on it. I report this and they asked me to send a picture of the date on the inside of the battery panel, which I did. They send they would replace it but recommended the 5 pound scale that weighs in tenth grams. They send a new scale of my original 12 pound pull-out version. I reported to them that it had the same problem and also, I thought they were sending the 5 pound/gram scale. The sent the gram scale and told me to donate the other one or give it away. WOW...that is so customer service.
