What an adventure! We were looking to book a last-minute trip to Egypt and after reviewing multiple companies we contacted Osiris tours. We normally just backpack and plan as we go in other countries, but without speaking Arabic or knowing much about the region we decided to do an official tour. We're glad we did! Mahmoud the owner was very responsive and helpful and was able to accommodate a custom itinerary within a very short amount of time.

We were nervous about booking since we didn't know anyone who traveled with Osiris Tours let alone to Egypt. Once we were there and saw how professional and accommodating everyone was, our concerns soon disappeared. Navigating Egypt ourselves would have been possible but there is no way we would have been able to see nearly as much as we saw in 12 days! Our itinerary was packed full. There is so much more to see in Egypt than we expected, and every day was truly amazing and unique. Having a professional Egyptologist to show us around each site also provided valuable insight into what we were experiencing. We had a really great time with Hotep and were so glad to have him as a guide around Luxor, and Bazooka around Cairo. We were surprised by how many people were involved in our trip (several airport representatives, regional organizers, drivers, tour guides, etc.) and it was clear that everyone was working very hard to keep things organized and on-schedule. Everyone was so welcoming and the tour guides were really informative. We were able to just enjoy the adventure, rather than being stressed and preoccupied with logistics had we been planning things ourselves. We would definitely recommend Osiris Tours! My husband and I just got back from an outstanding two week trip to Egypt. From the minute we landed in Cairo until our last minute in Egypt, Mahmoud Gebril made sure we were always well cared for. We had a seamless, safe and unforgettable tour of Egypt with Osiris. It was white glove service the entire trip from the guides to drivers to airport assistance. Truly outstanding!
This was a private custom tour and Mahmoud was incredible with planning an itinerary that fit our needs perfectly, from the hotels to the activities. His availability and promptness to answer all our pre departure questions was a service I had never experienced.

My son and I took a 15 day tour to Egypt and Petra. Osiris Tour organized a fabulous tour. More importantly every thing that was promised was done to perfection. We were met by or guides and drivers on time. Every one of our tour guides was very well educated and had an abundance of knowledge. We developed also a personal relation ship with them
The Hotels were all wonderful and very comfortable. The food where provided was abundant with international offerings as well a regional and local foods, which we really enjoyed.
Yes I would recommend Osiris to anyone who wants a personal touch and a choice of out of the way venues. Osisis tour will really guide you and cater what you want to experience .
I do highly recommend to take the time to see Petra. It is such a special place unique in the history of the world.

My visit to Egypt was truly a dream come true. I truly had the time of my life, and in fact I am planning to return next summer! From the moment we walked off of the plane in Cairo, we were taken care of. Yassar one of our guides and all of the drivers are very friendly and kind. Marwa, our first guide in Cairo is truly a fabulous woman. She was so much fun and very knowledgeable about the history of Egypt. I really appreciate the fact that Marwa pointed out food that I could not eat due to allergies.I She also got us some Egyptian rice to take home. Definitely would recommend! I loved the Egyptian dinner and camel ride, as well as going to the Pyramids. Climbing up to the inside the Great Pyramid was incredible!

Again after flying into Aswan, we were taken care of. Then we met Sam. I have to tell you that he is fabulous! We had so much fun with him. He really did cater to our every need. He is extremely knowledgeable and I loved how he would read us the hieroglyphics wherever we went. If we wanted to go back to ship a little early to rest (because of the extreme heat that week!) Sam adjusted the schedule. We discussed not going to Dendera but instead to see Deir El Medina, and Habu temple. I am so pleased Sam mentioned this because it was breathtaking!! Sam is the very best guide in Luxor and I would recommend him to everyone!
We also did the three day Nile cruise with The Sonesta Moon Goddess. Beautiful Ship, food was good and staff was super friendly. (Definitely get the massage) Be warned though, the cruise really only sailed one day from Aswan to Luxor, the other two being docked in Aswan one day, and Luxor one day.
Everywhere we went in Luxor was truly amazing. I am happy we paid extra in the Valley of the Kings for the three extra tombs, Tut, Ramses V,VI, and Seti I. I think the tombs were my favorite of the trip if I had to choose.
The hotels we stayed at were great, Our stay in Giza was fabulous and the people super friendly. We stayed ( separate from tour ) at the Great Pyramid Inn.Staff was great and the rooms clean, the rooftop restaurant was awesome. etc. The Hilton in Luxor was the best! When we were in the restaurant for dinner, the chef came out of the kitchen and showed me the dishes that I could eat (again due to allergies). The hotel itself is beautiful, including the pool area (no time to enjoy), the staff very accommodating, and the jewelry store was great. I plan to stay there next year when I return, as Luxor is incredible. We also enjoyed the Karnak Temple Light show, it was fun.
When we flew back into Cairo, we stayed at the Triumph Plaza. Very nice hotel, clean and friendly people. The one thing I didn’t like was the fact that we really didn’t have time to eat breakfast and I wanted to take a few croissants and coffee back up to the room so we could eat while getting ready for our next adventure. The staff there wouldn't even allow me to get a coffee to take up to our room, and told us that we had to use room service, of which we were charged extra for. Not a huge deal as the coffee was cheap, it was just irritating.
The drivers including Hossam in Cairo and Ahmed in Luxor were great and the very best guides Marwa and Sam! My visit was incredible and life changing. I will return next year!
This visit was amazing! The Egyptian people are gracious and friendly and at no time did I feel unsafe, and I was traveling with my sister in law. It is sad that due to the Gaza turmoil that this country's tourism is almost at a stand still. That said, we never had to wait in line anywhere!
I would recommend this company to everyone!

I can not say enough about Osiris Tours!!! They handled everything down to the smallest details!! Everyone was so friendly and professional. Tour guides seemed to know everything there is about Egypt and we now consider them friends!! I don't think we could possibly have put any more in the day. We were going non stop!! Hotels they arranged were top notch with views of Cairo and the Nile River!! We even took a ride in a sailboat on the Nile!!! We never had to worry about getting through the airport security and the Visa process, running out of supplies like water, being taken anywhere it was unsafe, or being cheated by unscrupulous merchants. Osiris was on top of EVERYTHING!! My friend is a world traveler and she said it was the best trip she'd ever been on!!! Go with Osiris...you'll be glad you did!!!

I have recently returned from an 9 day tour of Egypt (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan) organised by Osiris Tours and would highly recommend them for anyone considering visiting Egypt.

Firstly, from an organisational point of view, Osiris is very flexible and responsive in tailoring an itinerary that matches your interests. Then once you are ‘on the ground’ in Egypt all aspects of the tour were executed seamlessly (despite our tour involving multiple airport transfers, Nile cruise, etc). This is credit to the highly professional staff - drivers, airport reps, guides - involved in making your trip as comfortable and special as you could have hoped.

I also have to give a special mention to our guides in both Cairo, Ahmed Fathy Alsayed, and Luxor/Aswan, Mahmoud Farah; they were both very knowledgable and passionate about Egyptian history and culture, making our trips to each of the historical sites all the more special. On top of this, Ahmed and Mahmoud were warm and attentive and make the perfect guides for this trip.

Overall, I would highly recommend Osiris for your Egypt tour.

Osiris Tours delivers a 5 star experience. We spent a good part of the year customizing our trip with Mahmoud Gebril who accommodated all of our wishes and desires, answering our emails and phone calls with great speed and good will. His entire Egyptian staff is terrific, from the each guide who personally took us around, to every driver and facilitator. All of them were top notch - responsible, responsive, highly informed, lovely, and had great senses of humor. Plus, at this particularly tense moment in the Middle East, we felt completely safe, well shepherded and taken care of at all times.

In March 2024, Marcy and I and two friends took the bucket list trip of a lifetime arranged by Mahmoud Gebril of Osiris Tours. We worked with Mahoud for over two years planning our itinerary (hoping that the Grand Egyptian Museum would open – it didn’t) that included virtually everything we wanted to see. Our base of operations in Cairo was the Four Seasons at First Residence Hotel. Our sights included the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, the Pyramids at Giza, Djoser’s Step Pyramid at Sakkara, and the Cairo Museum (which is still fantastic). Our guide Ahmed was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in so many ways. The camel ride was a complete hoot, and our camel jockey was hysterical!

We flew from Cairo to Aswan, visited the Philae Temple by boat and stayed at the amazing historic Old Cataract Hotel where Agatha Christie wrote Death on the Nile. The long round-trip drive to Abu Simbel – I was not prepared for its immensity and desolate beauty - was very interesting, and not only that, it rained for the first time in 9 years.

We then drove to Luxor, stopping at the Kom Ombo and Edfu temples along the way. Because of our early departure, there were virtually no crowds at either temple, and we were able to take our time while our terrific guide, Essam (aka Sam) Hamed, who explained everything to us (as he did since we met him in Aswan). During our stay in Luxor, based out of the equally historic Winter Palace Hotel, we went on a hot air balloon ride, toured the Valley of the Kings (tombs of King Tut, Seti I and Rameses IV, V and VI). The next day, Sam and our driver agreed that us old-timers needed a little rest, so we had the morning off. Later we visited the Karnak and Luxor Temples, which are simply mind-boggling. If that weren’t enough, we also visited the beautiful Dendera temple complex with its amazing colorful ceilings and wall paintings.

On our last day in Luxor, we visited the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which is simply astounding, as well as the impressive Habu Temple. I cannot say enough good things about Sam, our guide in Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Luxor. He is an extremely accomplished Egyptologist, as well as a very friendly and very funny guy. We bonded with him immediately. He reordered our itinerary on-the-fly to give us the maximum of experiences while taking into account our stamina and energy levels.

It was a long, but interesting drive from Amman to Wadi Musa where we stayed at the delightful 5-star Movenpick Hotel Petra. Mohamed, our driver and erstwhile guide took us the back way into Petra, past an ancient Crusader castle, and the mountainous scenery on the way was truly breathtaking. Petra was even more mind-boggling than Abu Simbel and covers a huge area where the ancient Nabateans carved amazing tombs and dwellings into solid rock. Our guide, Sameer, was just great. The next day we drove to Wadi Rum where we stayed at the Memories Aicha Desert Camp. Nobody can be prepared for the desert beauty of Wadi Rum – it was just spectacular.

It was a very long (4 hours) drive back to the Movenpick Dead Sea Hotel and Resort – a huge complex right on the water. The girls took advantage of the Dead Sea mud and had a great time getting all muddied up by the lifeguard.

All in all, we were all just delighted with all our arrangements. Processing through the Cairo and Amman airports was easy and seamless with our facilitators and drivers timely and on the spot. We were whisked door-to-door and never had to handle our luggage. There is no doubt that we will be going back to Egypt and Jordan – there was not one instant where we did not feel completely safe, and people are friendly, outgoing and helpful. BTW, there is WiFi everywhere. I, for one, must see the GEM when it’s finally open, and I’d love to take a Nile River cruise, and now that I’ve already seen virtually everything, I can pick and choose when to get off the boat!

Osiris Tours gets a solid five stars. I would give them 10 stars, if I could. You cannot go wrong.

We recently returned from a trip to Egypt and Jordan and nothing but great things to say about Osiris Tours. Having a expert guide and a driver dedicated to the two of us made the trip far different than getting on a bus with a herd of other tourists. Our Osiris private guide for the first stage of our tour in Cairo was Egyptologist who obtained his degree just down the street from the Egyptian Museum. His knowledge of the pyramids, the Egyptian museum and the thousands of years of Egyptian history was extensive and he presented it in an understandable and interesting manner. We also greatly enjoyed our time with “Hotep” in Aswan and Luxor. The way he led us through the Philae Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Karnak Temple and many other sites showed his passion and pride in Egyptian history. He made our trip to Egypt very special. All of our accommodations were top rate, we absolutely loved the Old Cataract Hotel and the suite overlooking the Nile River. The itinerary kept us active but also provided some time to relax which was much appreciated. We especially enjoyed the balloon ride in Luxor, a once in a lifetime experience with extremely professional pilot and ground crew. Adding on Jordan and the World Heritage Site of Petra was also a fantastic experience. Despite everything going on in the world, we felt extremely safe with our drivers and guides who took great care of us. I would rate Osiris Tours five stars and highly recommend Mahmoud and his team if you are planning a trip to Egypt and Jordan.

Overall it was wonderful! We loved our tour guides: Marwa Khater in Cairo and Mahmoud Farah in Aswan and Luxor. Marwa is an excellent photographer and felt like a welcoming aunt. She was super passionate about everything. Mahmoud has a great sense of humor and is very kind. He had some Egyptian money for us to borrow for the restrooms. Both guides were extremely knowledgeable. We immensely enjoyed talking to them about modern Egyptian culture and daily life. They were also interested in our personal lives too. 

Every hotel had its perks. They all had security measures to keep us safe. The hotels in Cairo were very accessible. We loved the food and surrounding environment of Movenpick. Jolie Ville had beautiful landscaping and the zoo was very fun. The tour guides were fantastic and friendly.

The biggest takeaway was that we felt safe the entire time we were with our talented guides. We were told that Egypt is the safest Middle Eastern country and we could feel that too. They made the trip smooth with great suggestions to make the most of our time, the best shops, and when to avoid major crowds from other cruises and big tour groups. Our trip included great adventure at the beginning and we also had time to relax towards the end of the trip. Osiris Tours compiled a great personalized itinerary for us. You won’t regret booking them! 

Tips: Ask if water and snacks will be provided & the amount of downtime you'll have between traveling and the excursions. Wear comfy shoes & hat!

We would rate our whole experience with Osiris Tours as a 5/5! Everything was so smooth-- from the planning stages of creating our personalized itinerary almost a year out to our first airport pick-up to the last, all the guides (Mohamed, Khalaf, and Sam), drivers, airport reps, etc. were kind, timely, informative, and helpful. They made us feel safe and well taken care of the entire time and were always willing to integrate our personal wants into the trip. When it surprisingly rained one day in Aswan, they worked to fit our planned activities into other days while also making that day itself enjoyable through last-minute museum and market trips. All our accommodations were lovely and helpful when it came to arranging early box breakfasts and shuttle transportation. Mahmoud was also extremely responsive to emails throughout the process and quickly answered our questions, which we so appreciated. We certainly recommend their business!

We have just completed the most incredible holiday to Egypt and Jordan with Osiris Tours.

From my first email asking questions about possible tours, to final touchdown at home, it’s been a pleasure and privilege to deal with such a professional company.

Mahmoud Sultan, our guide in Cairo and Mahmoud Farah our guide in Aswan and Luxor were outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for better people. They were both incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, funny and pleasant gentlemen. They were both very gracious, incredibly good hosts, and very welcoming.

The airport representatives and tour drivers were all excellent and the program that was put together for us was spectacular. Egypt tour coordinator Shaddy was great to deal with and incredibly helpful.

All of the accommodations were top notch and in perfect locations.

The Jordan section of our trip was just as good. Our guide Sameer in Petra and our Bedouin guide Mahmoud in Wadi Rum were fantastic. Our driver Zeyad was also very good. I highly recommend adding a Jordan section on to any Egypt trip.

Security was not an issue, and we never felt in danger at any time. We have only felt welcome in these wonderful countries.

The idea I had for our anniversary trip to be the trip of a lifetime for my wife has been fulfilled, and we have got everything that I hoped for.

We recently returned from a 12 day trip to Egypt organized by Osiris Tours. From the first contact with Mahmoud I knew this was the company I wanted to plan my trip. Mahmoud was very responsive and planned an itinerary to Cairo, Aswan and Luxor that hit all the highlights but also kept things at a pace that we could enjoy the magnificent sites we were experiencing.
Upon arrival in Cairo we were met by representatives that whisked us through the visa process and delivered us to our hotel. Each airport transfer went equally as smoothly. Our guides Marwa (Cairo) and Ismial (Aswan and Luxor) were knowledgeable (an understatement!), professional and attentive. They were simply wonderful. Our drivers were prompt and courteous. We were pleased with all our accommodations and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and friendly staffs.

Osiris Tours are great! Years ago, I watched the lectures on Egypt through the Great Courses from the Teaching Company with prof Bob Brier. Since then, I had always wanted to go. I strongly recommend you watch the lectures before you go as Egyptian history is very complex. We had two groups of friends go to Egypt with Osiris and both loved it. Mahmoud Gebril of Osiris is very responsive and set up a wonderful itinerary. We had fantastic accommodations in Petra, Aswan and Luxor. We were less than 4 months after the start of the war in Gaza. We felt entirely safe. The airport representatives were very helpful, particularly in Cairo airport. The food was basic but wholesome and safe. Our drivers had to navigate in a country without traffic lights. Our guide, Ahmed Fathy was perfect. Very knowledgeable, patient, flexible and kind. He actually leads tours with Bob Brier and has been a student of Zawi Hawass. The very best travel is when you have an emotional connection to the sights you visit. Thank you Osiris for making that happen for me.

If you are considering a trip to Egypt, Jordan or any country that Osiris Tours accommodates, please do it and do it with them. We returned from our trip to Egypt and Jordan last week and I still dream about it. Not kidding! Safe, educational, beautiful, worry free from beginning to end. Traveling with Osiris was the one of best experiences we've had. Generally, we like to do our own thing when we travel, but for these countries, it is best to use a tour company and it absolutely should be Osiris!

Possibly the best trip we've ever had... Mahmoud/Osiris provide an amazing experience - the destinations speak for themselves, but the orchestration of the trip was perfect - extremely knowledgeable & friendly (& funny!) guides, impeccable logistics with drivers, transfers, etc., beautiful and convenient hotels. We went to places "off the beaten path" and saw things not on most tours, and were pampered with good humored attention to our spontaneous requests. If you're looking for a unique, safe and mind-blowing deep dive into Jordan and Egypt - this is it... worth every penny and then some - highly, highly recommend!

Osiris did not disappoint! The difference that having a personal tour tailored to our particular needs and wishes, made to our appreciation for our time in Egypt, cannot be understated.

The warmness and friendliness of the Egyptian people was so genuine and ever present. Guides Sayed, Khalafa, and Ahmed were knowledgeable and attentive to our needs and wishes. Having Osiris attendants at our flight arrivals and departures was a huge assist to Karen and me. All our hotel accommodations, including our cruise ship cabins down the Nile, were exceptional.

We loved our time at the pyramids. Ahmed’s knowledge of the construction heightened our appreciation for the history and legacy of the pyramids. Other highlights were the leisurely cabin cruise down the Nile, the sights around Aswan, Luxor, the alabaster shop in Kurna, the handmade carpets at the family carpet school, and the visits to pharaohs’ tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. Nefartari's tomb was exceptionally impressive. We enjoyed our time with Khalafa. His passion and enthusiasm for everything Egyptian was contagious, and we very much enjoyed our time with him. His commentary at Luxor Temple was particularly informative, given his extensive knowledge of the inscriptions seen there.

Any fears due to the Gazan conflict were completely overblown. There was not one time when we felt uncomfortable for our safety.

I rate Osiris Tours 'a five out of five.' Karen and I would heartily recommend your tour company to anyone wishing to experience the rich history of Egypt and the warmth and friendliness of its people.

We had an excellent time and would rate the overall experience 5 stars out of 5. We felt so well looked after especially with kids in particular with with the guides who ensured that all activities were suitable for all of us and made sure that we felt comfortable at all times in particular when it started getting hot (for us). The girls particular loved the Nile cruise and rated this at the best thing in the trip along with seeing the mummy of King Tut. All of our hotels were very comfortable and catered to all of our needs. The flights were easy as well and enabled us to make the most of our time there.
