Bait and Switch

I spent a lot of time working out my order (length, colour, material) and finally placed my order for £606. At the time, the site was running a promotion offering free shipping for offers over £590. It was a very clear offer and I have a screenshot of it. However, when I tried to check out, approximately £50 was added for shipping.

I contacted the company thinking it was a glitch on the site, but instead they told me the offer was free shipping for €700. When I asked them to honour their very clearly stated offer of "Free Shipping for Orders over £590", they said they were not willing to honour their offer.

This is a shady company and if we can't trust the plain meaning of their words, can we trust them at all? What other misleading practices might they engage in?

The company makes false claims about…

The company makes false claims about their free shipping. They clearly post on their website free shipping over £585. But when you try to purchase they won't honor this deal claiming the actual deal is based on euros. But that is not what is advertised, they made a special graphic and banner for their UK page specifically citing £.

I would not trust a company who blatantly lies on the front page of their own website then gas lights you if you try to get them to honor their offer.
