Very unhappy phone tree and the wait…

Very unhappy phone tree and the wait time . I have never called a business and to hear that the call wait is between 132 - 136 min . So I need to wait little over 2 hours to speak to a member. No thank you I will be going in person to see what is going on

My account was compromised 4 times in…

My account was compromised 4 times in the last 6 months..... This last time they didn't even bother to send me a new card because I couldn't come in because I no longer live in California. The icing on the cake was no more transfers to other members, the one reason my husband and I hung on to our accounts at OCC. Now I'm fighting with them to close my account and they probably won't contact me I'm two as they said.

Extremely disappointed with OCFCU…

Extremely disappointed with the mortgage underwriting team at OCFCU. Despite providing clear documentation and citing specific Fannie Mae guidelines (B3-3.7-02) regarding business cash flow, the underwriting team ghosted me for a week, and their manager Monica Partida refused to apply standard industry add-backs, resulting in a wrongful denial. OCFCU went back on their word after I was promised by my loan officer Jennie Jacobson. that OCFCU would apply standard industry add-backs to my income. While she promised to use standard industry add-backs to secure my application (and Hard Credit Pull), they then fundamentally changed the "rules" during underwriting to deny the loan. Indeed, the entire culture at OCFCU is decayed with failed communication at each level. Even after escalating my credit appeal to the executive board, I was ghosted for two weeks with zero accountability or rebuttal. The executive board (Kathy Jumper, Donald Carazo and Jeff Harper) never sent me a single message acknowledging my escalated complaint and appeal. My appeal was affirmed and singed by OCFCU fourteen days after the fact and coincidentally the very same day I told them: “Too late, I will be publishing my bad experience with OCFCU online.” Although, instead of simply emailing me an update, they claimed to have snail-mailed me the response to my appeal—nothing was ever received in my mailbox. If you are self-employed or have a complex income, save your credit score and go to a lender that actually understands modern secondary market requirements.

OCCU Lost $ TWICE

Orange County’s Credit Union has now “lost” my money twice. Not a typo. Twice.

The first time, a wire transfer of over $12,000 was sent from another bank. The funds disappeared inside their system for nearly two weeks. No proactive communication. No urgency. No explanation. Just delays and shrugs while a five-figure sum was floating somewhere in their internal black hole.

Now it has happened again.

I sold my home, and the title company sent a payoff check that was received and signed for on January 23rd. Instead of applying it to my account, they lost the check. My account continues to show as past due because they cannot locate something they physically signed for.

Their response? “We need to find the check.”

That is not a solution. That is not accountability. That is incompetence.

This is not a small bookkeeping error. These are large sums of money tied to real estate transactions. There is no excuse for a financial institution to repeatedly mishandle funds at this level. The lack of internal controls, tracking, and urgency is alarming.

If you are considering banking here, understand that your money may not simply be misposted. It may disappear into administrative limbo while you chase them to fix their own mistakes.

Losing funds once is a serious error. Losing them twice is a pattern.

I have been calling in to get my online…

I have been calling in to get my online account working and it’s been over a year with no luck. On order to check my financials, I have to go into the branch or call. Other than that, they are very friendly and not pushy at all.

Hands down the best bank I've ever done…

Hands down the best bank I've ever done business with. I don't plan to leave them any time soon. I feel very secure about the funds that I have with this bank. Their communication is impeccable. They go above and beyond each and every time to make sure that one am satisfied. Any issues which are few are resolved immediately. Every branch is equally awesome.
Thank you OCCU!!! I wanted to give you a shout out!!!!
