Their training and support is at best. And to get on job quickly into desired field the career pathway they provide is very good. Pursuing cyber pathway with them now and all things are at best level including all training for certs, quick support plus learn at own pace dont have to rush things out. Do contact them they are the one to come to for IT.

My first exposure to creating an App using AI agents was during a project session with Kim Brook. I was very much a newbie to this area but Kim explained everything in a easy to understand way and made the process of creating an app so easy. With Kim's guidance I have been able to create an app (not yet finished) that does a lot more than I could have imagined and the confidence/experience it has given to me is invaluable.

Great experience and community feel with Optima. Excellent level of instruction and well structured courses with extra curricular classes to accomodate all backgrounds. Kim is extremely helpful and provided me with a good direction and pathway after deciding on a career change into the cloud using great experience and understanding of students needs from all angles. Kim Brook co-ordinates the mentor support of cloud technology training programs. At regular intervals the mentors get together to assign classes, fix schedules and address issues that may arise. Kim is always forceful yet empathetic with all of our mentor group and manages the issues quickly and effectively.

Was struggling to get into AWS account.
With help from Zoe she fixed my first issue and was able to fix the above issue within our time frame.
Zoe's professionalism and friendliness make the call pleasant.
Having with issues rectified by Zoe made the day as I was able to get to into AWS skillbuilder and imbed my learning.

I had done a cohoot through august to september of 2024 but unfornetley i had to work the classe going on, it made it hard to catch up on the labs. The theory i understand but not the practical. What do i do. Since it has been a year and plus since that cohoot ?

During my time today Simon assisted me with how complete the labs for the CompTIA Sec+ and setting up my labs for my own Virtual Machine. I am pleased with information given and is enough for me to continue.

Although AWS Cloud Architect is a complex subject, Optima has very good instructors who are really responsive and willing to explain any questions. So far I have been with David Hayes, Kim Brooke and Chantel, they are all very helpful and supportive.

I called Optima Support and spoke to Simon S. he ensured me that he could help me and had a conversation that made me feel supported and helped me not loose faith.
Feeling overwhelmed and alone about the whole job searching aspect, Simon went above and beyond to help or to get me into contact with the appropriate people.

I got in contact with Simon at Optima IT, needing help with setting up Kali Linux and Firefox on my laptop. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble.

Once I was set up Simon helped me through the Lab sessions, which was great, it's now given me the confidence to get stuck in myself. He also showed how to effectively clean up and file emails, which again was great help. Thank you Simon

My experience with Optima Training & Consultancy Limited was extremely disappointing.

I enrolled in December 2024 after the course was advertised as beginner-friendly and suitable for people starting a career in IT and cyber security with no prior experience. During the sales process I was also told there would be no difficult maths involved, only simple calculations, and that completing the programme would lead to job opportunities which were described as guaranteed.

In reality, the course delivery did not match how it was marketed. The sessions were delivered as long 8-hour weekend classes that were extremely intensive and not structured in a way that supports people who are completely new to the subject. The pace often assumed prior knowledge and many foundational concepts were not clearly explained.

The labs were difficult to follow for beginners, and on one occasion a lecturer appeared unsure how to complete or explain the lab during the session. Tutors were also changed multiple times which created inconsistency in the teaching.

The teaching style did not appear to be adapted for different learning styles or additional learning needs. The delivery felt rigid and lacked the structure and clarity beginners often require. At one point a tutor even advised students to skip content they did not understand rather than properly explaining it.

I initially stopped attending because the format was so difficult to follow, but later decided to give the course another chance by joining a different cohort. Unfortunately the experience was even worse than the first.

As a cohort, several of us raised concerns and complaints together about the course delivery, structure and quality. These issues were clearly not isolated.

I also saw the company publicly post on LinkedIn looking for a lecturer to teach a class the day before it was due to run, which raised concerns about preparation and organisation.

I eventually decided to leave the course. Optima tried to persuade me to continue, but I did not feel it was right to keep paying for something that I believed had been falsely advertised, so I chose to challenge it further instead.

When I later raised a formal complaint about these issues, Optima denied the concerns and refused to cancel the finance agreement.

I had to report this to Financial Ombudsman Service and Trading Standard. Eventually, the finance provider, Buyline, later reopened my case and investigated the situation again and after reviewing the case properly I received a refund.

Overall this was a very stressful experience and the course did not reflect how it had been presented during the sales process. I would strongly advise anyone considering enrolling to research carefully before committing.

All the modules include some very nice slides to accompany the lectures.
Another good feature is the ability to playback the recordings.
There is a lot of subject matter to cover and these features make a big difference. There is also one-to-one session /meeting features and student support via e-mail and Tel.

There is also project work and subject matter focus sessions held during the week and at weekends.
The current lecturers David Hayes and Kim Brook provide very good support and guidance.
A fine experience overall.
