They couldn't make my prescription
They couldn't make my prescription, so without notice, changed it. Within 24 hours of receiving them, I was messaging for the return address. As they offer a no quibble guaranty. Next you know, it's a month of quibbling, with suggestions like I have worn them, as that's not allowed. While any other seller would want you to try your varifocals before returning them, they use the fact you know they are the wrong prescription, to take your £195 and give you nothing of use.

My third time using this company! Great value for money and good competent advice from the optician staff over the phone. The transitions lenses I chose are great quality and much cheaper than the high street. Can highly recommend.
Not good
Not one to leave bad reviews but this company have left no choice. No communication at all despite numerous emails!! Only sent the order when I reached out to my bank despite me contacting to say I wanted to cancel.

Great service from Online Opticians UK yet again, my new glasses arrived quickly and everything was perfect as was the case for previous purchases. Communication was excellent and all for a competitive price. I have no hesitation in recommending Online Opticians UK, and will be using them again in the future.
poor communication
Everything seemed to be going very smoothly until there was a glitch on their system which enabled me to select and pay for 2 upgrades when only 1 was available. The company asked me which of the 2 options I would like, and they would refund the £45 overpayment. After 3 E-mails and getting cut off every time I phone, it appears the service team are just not interested in contacting me regarding this issue.

Same as other reviews. I ordered frames, payment was taken immediately, and then nothing. After 2 weeks and 2 ignored emails I complained via PayPal and suddenly the frames were dispatched. No communication whatsoever. Give them a miss, there are plenty of others.

If you're reading this before purchasing from this company, well done. You still have the opportunity to find another supplier.
The only thing this company is good at is writing fake reviews. My experience with them was a nightmare. Money from my account was taken by Thomas Eyewear not Online Opticians UK. After ordering £240 Oakley prescription glasses and expecting them to arrive within a couple of weeks, I couldn't have been more wrong. One month after ordering and many emails requesting a delivery date, which were ignored, I finally asked PayPal to step in and request a refund. The company didn't even respond to PayPal, so I finally received a refund nearly 2 months after ordering.
So after the worst online order I've ever experienced from a company that shouldn't be allowed to continue trading. My advice is avoid these lying, cheating #@***#!
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. Hardly ever answer the phone, ignore emails and ignore voicemails. Do not expect any updates on how your order is progressing, estimated date of dispatch or the words “sorry for the delay”. The timescales on the website are a joke. Do not use this company. Answering the phone or emails with an apology and polite explanation would have gone a long way.
Good service overall
Good service overall. Glasses were very good and as described. They were very good to contact me to double check my order was correct as I had ordered unusual transition lenses.
My only complaint is that they were not great in keeping me up to date on the ETA of my glasses. When it had been two weeks from my updated order going through, I contacted them via email twice and by phone, with no reply. I finally heard back a few days later when I received the dispatch email.

Received a pair of prescription safety…
Received a pair of prescription safety glasses around a week ago and so far so good. They fit comfortably and have held up to a few minor knocks. From ordering to delivery took a little over 2 weeks and I'd happily use this company again.
Don't do it. Spend your money elsewhere. There are much better alternatives.
Yes, well... they mixed up the left and right, so the sunglasses only worked upside down. This could have been ok, as mistakes happen, but the deafening silence before and after the returns procedure suggests a company in crisis. No communication. At all. Despite many emails. I did finally get a refund via Paypal, so it's now time to share my experience. AVOID. There are better companies at very similar prices. Would have loved to give a ZERO star review.

I bought and paid for my glasses 19…
I bought and paid for my glasses 19 May, then nothing until I got a call that i needed to pay 30£ more for the tint. I did, that was end of May, the nothing, my online order did not change, each week I emailed, where was my order, the reply came on mondays, checking for you, At the end of june, fed up, i asked that they cancel my order, nothing again, i asked to cancel and refund, nothing until begin july, your glasses are on the way. Again i asked for a refund, nothing, I checked with the Opticians Ombudsman, THEY ARE NOT registered. I recieved the glasses and again asked for a refund, nothing, I immediately sent them back to the senders address, registered and tracked as they have a 8 day ret, NOW i asked for my refund, they say I did not do it correctly, i cant have my 300.£ back because i didnt request a refund and use their form. They have my email chain, asking for a refund, three times even before receiving the glasses. Royal Mail tracked confirmed its delivery, they refuse to refund me. To be Clear, they are NOT covered by the opticians ombudsman. onlinethieves should be the name.
