Poor warranty support and no resolution

contacted O’Neill Wetsuits to activate the warranty for a defect in the neck area of my son’s wetsuit. It has now been more than a week and a half, and the only response I received was a vague message saying that my case would be forwarded to another O’Neill division, with no clear guidance or solution.

Since then, the new division they referred my case to has not contacted me at all. Meanwhile, my son's wetsuit is unusable due to the defect, which means he cannot use it.

I spent more than €250 on a wetsuit from a well-known brand, expecting quality and reliable customer support, but so far the after-sales service has been very disappointing.

I hope O’Neill takes responsibility and resolves this situation promptly.

Non-existent Service

The service I've received is non existent. I placed an online order in mid January 2026. Royal Mail have been unable to deliver it as it states 'In Transit' on their app. It's been on that since January 21st, and it's now February 6th. I've tried calling Royal Mail, but the wait is consistently 1 hour, which I do not have time to commit to.

I have written to O'Neill, both by email and via the support link on their website. I have not received a response in well over a week. I've tried calling them, but the number will not connect you to a human, stating all communication is in writing.

If you do not commit to having phonelines then you should commit to quick responses via email. To not respond in an adequate timeframe and have no phoneline makes your customers feel like they've been ripped off and you've taken their money.

I will be sure to shop at Quicksilver next time. I cannot say the service is appalling, as there is no service at all! Hence the title: Non-existent service. Terrible company. I will be escalating this with Trading Standards.

No refund for returned items after 7 weeks

I have returned 2 items that I bought in mid-December, worth over 100 pounds and still did not get a refund. UK phone number is inactivated with a note that "O'neill is only reachable by email currently". I sent an email 10 days ago and there is no reply. This experience erodes trust for online purchases from O'neill.

Good all round experience

Went in there 4/11 for a meal and drinks. We were met by a very friendly chap and were given menus etc. the meal was very good, the atmosphere was great but a big hats off to IMOGEN our lovely bar attendant, she was so friendly and could not do enough for us. We went home 4 happy ladies just slightly tipsy!

O Neill

Always seem to be reasonable to deal with with good sales periods to buy in. Way too expensive and overpriced to buy at normal rates but delivery is OK and never have issues with quality so far

Delivery on time but one niggle

Delivery on time so that was great. One niggle is that the T. Shirts described as white on the website are definitely more ecru in colour, so a little disappointed but decided to keep them. All have washed well.

Completely different item sent

Completely different item sent! I ordered a Bikini Bottom. I received a bikini top! The outer plastic bag indicates the bikini bottom on the sticker, but the content is the bikini top. Clearly someone made a mistake in creating the package. I contacted customer service, who did not reply. I finally managed to get a refund through PayPal, though was left without any response from O’Neill, and without the item I had ordered!

Marked top unreturnable

My son bought a goalkeepers top from O'Neills @ €58 he tried it on and it didn't fit, so popped it back in the bag and sent it back,
It was returned two days later as unacceptable to return
as it had signs of being worn, this was not the case,
and had to have been on the shirt from the get go,
I spoke to customer service and it's manager, who stood firm that no mistakes could be made on their side, as the quality control would have seen it, so no one at O'Neill's ever wear make up and must wash there hands after every item of every sale is packed , and they also have lights to 100% check every item, They Make No Mistakes Ever,
so it's buyer beware, especially on white goods it seems,
The fact that a 21 year old will examine a top before he has tried it on, and report defects is ridiculous really when buying something you shouldn't have to inspect it,it should be new !! So it's buyer beware standards, and when I asked the question, he couldn't say no!! Because that's how they roll it seams, anyway any young lad buying tops make sure they are 100% scrutinized before you return on you'll be left with it,

Fee to return items is £2.95 which is a bit unfair particularly if items are not as described - fair enough if customers taking the Mickey - but if genuine purchase and items larger than should be or colour doesn’t match what was on site and decide to order other items don’t think should have to pay the fee.

Decent items but off putting delivery and return fees

Good products, snails pace returns process

Great products, but the returns process is very slow.

Sent 2 packages back on 14 April - it took until 29 April for them to confirm receipt.

Now it's 7 May and no refund yet - they say allow 30 days from 29 April receipt for a refund!! So that will be 6 weeks since I sent items back!
