Would not return again unfortunately , ordered food from the app which was very easy to use but food still had not arrived at the table after over an hours wait

Lovely, friendly staff especially Rebecca who made us so welcome. Sunday roast and burgers were hot and tasty. Will definitely return

We have been here many times and never had a bad word to say about the place. Tonight all that changed. I had to send my meal back twice because it was stone cold which was very disappointing. Then we're told we could not have a tab due to new policy from head office because folk were leaving without paying.
I am afraid we won't be going back here again.

I visited The Old Ash Dene my son and two grandsons. The was busy but not overly so, had wait to be served drinks and shortly after had to wait even longer to order food.
The four plates were served quite swiftly by a young waiter who was polite and helpful. The children's meals were fine but the two mixed grills were below par and mine proved to raw in part. Strangely the gammon and (I think pork chop) was charred on the outside but raw on the inside. The realisation was reported to the waiter who apologised and offered to replace the two food items. I declined and was aware that he was flustered which did not want. Shortly after the waiter came to the table and made me aware that he had spoken to someone more senior and offered a free pint!
I again declined and left the unfinished meal and we vacated with an unfortunate experience that we will share. Shame

Can i thank you for ruining Mothers Day.

Your food was 100% WORSE than last year and we will not be going back.

If you think powdery mash potato and half cooked frozen veg is acceptable then you need to get trained kitchen staff. also luke warm chips and a pile of BBQ pulled pork that just looked like someone had puked on the plate with very little BBQ sauce.
As for the Pedigree Pint that tasted as if it had been watered down.
We did not even stop for a dessert .
Maybe it is time for you to be inspected

1 x pint of pedigree (using below voucher) £0.00
1 x 1/2 pint Orange and Soda
1 x pint Orange and lemonade
1 x complimentary glass of rose wine for mother day

( i never saw the bar tender use the promo code i have for a free pint as he just took the printout and placed it on the work surface behind the bar)

I was charged just under £29 for the meal and given no receipt

The food alone was £19.97, so unless the Orange and Soda and Orange and Lemonade is approx £5 each i was over charged along will given below standard food and water down beer.
I have sent 2 emails to marstons, but they have just been ignored as no reply.
