…my experience of cataract surgery
There was a lovely calm atmosphere throughout and although the clinic was very busy there was no sign of of rush. I was received by a pleasant and welcoming staff who were kind and efficient. I was quite nervous and was made to feel at ease immediately.

Cataract multifocal surgery
I had my cataract multifocal surgery on both eyes at OCL Elstree just two weeks ago. I went in feeling very nervous, but the entire experience was far better than I expected. The surgery itself was completely pain-free, which was a huge relief.
My surgeon, Masara, even called me the next day to check on my recovery and answered all my questions promptly on the same day. That level of care made such a difference.
All the staff at Elstree have been excellent—professional, reassuring, and genuinely kind throughout the process.
I would highly recommend OCL Elstree to anyone considering eye surgery.

Mr Chien Wong is the best Retinal Surgeon.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care I received from Mr Chien Wong at OCL Vision , After learning that I needed surgery to peel off my retinal membrane, I was very concerned but from the very first appointment, Chien showed deep compassion, and a level of professionalism that immediately put me at ease.

Excellent all round service
Excellent all round service, friendly and professional staff, everything about the procedure was clearly explained.
On the day I was in and out within 2 hours, with no pain.

Amazing Eye Care
I had my lenses replaced at OCL and the whole process was professional, informative, easy and the results are amazing, I see life in a totally new and different way.

Removing the lens of your eye sounds scary but in fact was painless and the staff were incredibly helpful
The welcome was pleasant and all of the staff were helpful and informed. The surgery was intriguing, and sounded painful but in fact was quick and painless. All of the staff including the anaesthetist and nurses kept me informed about what was going on and what I could expect. Mr Mearza was professional but also took time to communicate and answer questions.

The service offered by OCL is amazing. From the friendly team on reception to the fabulous Susan Sarapangi!
Everyone makes you feel immediately at ease.
Susan listened patiently to my issues(following Bells Paulsy) and responded in detail regarding what was, and was not possible. She explained the next steps and provided clarity. I felt like an individual at all stages. At no point did I ever feel I was just being "processed". I genuinely believe they care about what they do, and how their clients feel.
The support that I have received since my procedure is beyond expectations. Susan's main aim is to ensure her clients are happy with their outcomes.
Well, so far, I am ecstatic; and the stitches aren't even out yet! Thank you OCL - and mostly - thank you Susan.

Mr Emil Kurniawan, the Consultant and his team were so professional in every aspect. On the day of the actual surgery, the whole team made the experience so relaxing. In excellent hands, before, during and after cataract surgery
From the first time I rang to make an appointment to my post cataract surgery follow up, everyone was kind, professional and caring. Mr Ali Mearza is a really personable, caring surgeon and even calls his patients day after surgery to see how they are! I'm so impressed I've now booked to have my other eye operated on by Mr Mearza. I was so anxious before the surgery but felt reassured by the professionalism and competence of all involved. Now 2 weeks post surgery, I realise I had no need to be anxious.
After 40 years of wearing contact lenses with all its trials and tribulations, 10 years of post menopause dry eyes and glasses, thanks to my cataract operation with toric extended range lens, I'm now enjoying 20/20 vision and the world seems a brighter place :) Thank you all.

Superb care at OCL
OCL manages that tricky combination of being very professional with being reassuring and pleasant. The staff are polite and helpful and both my surgeon (Mr Mark Wilkins) and my optometrist, were excellent. I am very pleased with the care I got and the results.
