Price quadrupled overnight
I ported my landline to Number People. Reasonable value at £1.50 per month (actually £5 a quarter to keep up with their credit robbery scheme). All of a sudden it is £6 a month. Same service. I'm deeply unhappy about their tactics and have just ported elsewhere. Beware.

We’d like to clarify that this was not a sudden increase. All customers were notified by email in June about our first price update in 9 years, with the changes taking effect from July. As part of this update, we also added inclusive call bundles at no extra charge, meaning many customers now receive more value than the monthly cost of the service.
We genuinely try to be transparent and fair with all pricing and changes, and we’re sorry that this did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We do appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback.

Misleading pricing/availability
They have 3 tiers 'Standard' 'Top 5' and 'Memorable'
Standard has no options available so your looking at minimum £200 for a phone line (plus the rest). Numberpeople, you are the weakest link, goodbye!

Bad Experience
I do not recommend using numberpeople.co.uk. They suspended my account after I submitted the verification documents. They did not reactivate my account and also refused to issue a refund.

I was managing accounts for a company that had a number with Numbers People, which was only used for business registrations, meaning it would only get a call maybe once every few months.
The Number People started charging top ups on the account every day until I had to freeze the account, while it had zero calls and zero activity... When we asked them to refund it, they refused.
What a sham!
Be careful and check what they charge you for. You will be charged for services you never used or calls you never received. It's clear that they scam account users. Should probably be reported to police and citizens advice.

The charges on your account were perhaps for active services associated with your numbers, such as the monthly cost of the number, voicemail, call groups, or other add-ons. Even if the numbers received few or no calls, these services remain active until cancelled.
As a pre-paid, no-contract service, customers are free to cancel any services they no longer need at any time. You can also close your account entirely through our online portal.
We always encourage customers to review the services on their account and remove anything they don’t require, which prevents unwanted charges.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback and are happy to assist anyone with questions about their account or charges through our support channels.

Good value and care about GDPR to meets needs of small busineses
I've signed up to NumberPeople for a new business because I feel that a lot of people still see having a local landline number as a indicator of a business you can trust.
Their service is really good value, and they offer a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) to ensure meeting GDPR requirements.
My only issue was that I had to raise a ticket to ask about the DPA, there wasn't any info about it in the help section, and then there was about a week before I heard anything back.

Pathetic experience
Pathetic experience. It is not working, even with their recommended apps. It always show Invalid-credentials error even with QR scan, and the worst part is that there's Zero customer support for it.
