Poor After Sales Service
I’m sorry to say that I’ve not had a great experience. I bought a George carpet cleaner and it leaks water from the solution tube all over the place. I emailed customer services with videos showing me connecting it all correctly and the water pouring out and requested a replacement part. The response was a leaflet and link to a video to show me how to connect it together. Seeing as I had already provided evidence of me connecting it correctly, this is insulting. The second response was to tell me to return it to the retailer. I am returning it to the retailer today for a full refund and will purchase an alternative brand cleaner. All it would have taken was a replacement part to keep me happy and retain the product. You have lost a customer and earned a poor review.
Packed Up After Only Three Years
Purchased a Henry XL Plus from Curry's three years ago to the day after my Henry wet and dry packed up after ten years service. I have always looked after my XL Plus, changing the bags before they were full and also replacing the filter, yet today I switched it on and there was a noise from the motor and a smell of electricity and it is now dead. I had hoped this XL would last at least as long as my last Henry and not pack up after only three years of household use.
Not as good as they used to be
I’ve had numatic vacuum cleaners over the last 20years on my valeting business. The last 2 cleaners whilst performing well the build quality is not as good as it used to be. The last one the front wheels fell off within the first 12 months and on the current one that I bought in March 2025 when you pick it up the top falls of the bottom. They used to be excellent machine. I will not be buying another one.

I had an issue with the suction on my Henry , I contacted Numatic and a lady called Alice F understood my issue straight away and helped sort out the issue with a replacement part , arrived the next day . Rare to find such prompt , excellent customer service . Thankyou Alice you are a complete star and you made my day.
Fantastic BUT
I recently purchased a Henry Quick. Having used a full size Henry for many, many years I pretty much knew what to expect. I wasn’t disappointed, it’s a fantastic machine.
Missing the extra star due to my having to pay £69.99 for a second battery! I’m so disappointed that a second battery is not included as it’s so frustrating when the battery fails part way through the cleaning. Also the freshener that came with the machine has absolutely no perfume at all.
Come on Numatic you are letting yourselves down here.
We have had a George hoover for a…
We have had a George hoover for a couple of years and on the whole it's excellent. We live in a rural area with dogs at home and George has fared better than much more expensive dyson and miele machines. His wet carpet cleaning mechanism is a bit hot and miss, frequently taking as long to unblock as he is in use, and the aero tool only lasts for a few weeks before becoming hopelessly entangled with hair with no straightforward means to free it. So some improvements that would help but overall a robust machine
Crevice tool missing from my Henry Quickpro package.
Unpacked my Henry Quickpro only to find the crevice tool was missing. Informed customer service (using website) but still waiting - & so impersonable. Good product but poor lackadaisical customer service - so far. After waiting 2 days phoned customer service & couldn't have been more different. The advisor agreed to send me a new kit (containing the missing part) & it arrived 2 days later.
I bought a Henry quick pet in November…
I bought a Henry quick pet in November 2024. I found it not as good as the Dyson I had for years. Even switching it on was a two handed job. Now it's April and the floor head has given way. The belt area has snapped after 6 months of casual use. I can't believe that the main part has snapped this easily. Yes after 2 years but 6 months. Would I recommend it? Probably not and it's £59.99 for a replacement. That's a quarter of the price of the hoover.

RIP Henry our family's domestic partner of 25 years. He had a hard life: three DIY project homes and the mess of dogs, kids and mucking out cars. We've just welcomed a new Henry. Noticeably quieter and blue. Super product.

I called Numatic customer service - spoke to a brilliant lady called Charlie, who sorted my problem within 5 mins. Down to her i will definitely be recommending and purchasing, more Numatic products.

Had several vaccum cleaners Dyson,shark etc bought a henry wet and dry fabulous won't part with it for the world,excellent cleaning great suction and does not loose suction,no awkward filters to change and it's British made.No expensive parts or filters to buy economical ,bought one for my son because I was so pleased with mine.would highly recommend the Henry wet and dry .
GEORGE is not really WET
I have had George in the family for 3 years. I purchased George as it is advertised as a wet and dry vacuum cleaner. I was in need of a machine with wet capabilities and the first use was as expected. The second time the spray nozzle was blocked. After a disassembly exercise and an acid bath the nozzle was operational again. After use I got rid of all water and dried the nozzle with compressed air. The third time it was blocked again and I decided that I had enough of trying to keep the wet feature alive. The idea of this machine is great. The design is also not bad. The product itself is more fun to look at as it is to use.
Henry Quick
Purchased a Henry Quick (I already own a Henry for a few years and have previously used them many times), direct from Numatic, same as before. Excellent service, great price as they have an offer on. Speedy service, I even love the excellent packaging (yes I know, I am that sad). Works really well, so much easier than getting the main hoover out. Suction is great and the battery life so far is amazing. If only every electrical item I purchased was this good!

I was looking at their cordless and couldn't decide which was best for our household.

Much heavier than expected…
Purchased a cordless Henry Quick to replace my elderly step-dad’s Dyson rollerball that he could no longer carry upstairs safely.
I knew he wouldn’t have the patience to deal with all the filter lights/filter issues on a cordless Dyson like mine so the Quick seemed perfect with the easily removed bags.
However, and here is the downside, the motor end of the Quick is pretty heavy, far in excess of my Dyson and any of my family that have used it find the same issue. So, disappointingly, he still can’t manage to carry it up his steep stairs and feel safe and he won’t even use it downstairs so that’s my job now.

HENRY QUICK (PET) LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OLD!
I purchased a Henry quick pet on 1st June 2024. On 24th Of July the following month after been used around 10 times in total I smelled a burning whilst cleaning and the roller head stopped spinning :(.
The vendor Argos gave the the phone number to contact numatic and I did so.... I explained the issue of burning then stopped spinning and that I thought the motor in the head had gone.... they said they would send a new "tool" a week later with no vacuum and a roller brush arrives- just a brush... I tried it just to satisfy that I was correct....
Follow up:
My issue was resolved today 04/08/24 by Luri, who was very helpful and my machine has just been exchanged in store.... also they have arranged to send me some quick pods as a good will gesture, which I am happy with this outcome 😀.

1st time I have purchased one of the numatic hoovers, GVE370 WET AND DRY. used it 3 times and suddenly it stopped working,
I rang GERALD GILES Norwich to ask for help but I was told to ring Numatic UK as i was out of warranty by 1 day, (lost out on warranty by 1 day due to leap year, having an extra day this year.)
NUMATIC UK said the product was 3 years old going by the serial number so I was told to go back to the seller (GERALD GILES Norwich)
After sending plenty of emails and telephone calls I got nowhere with any of the 2 parties.
£243 wasted therefore will not buy or recommend any of their products again.
I had offered that i did not want a refund or full unit being replaced, only the faulty part,
Plus I had offered to pay the shipping costs from my pocket but was denied.

Bought the George vacuum, and opened the box to find a set of instructions that would have stumped the Egyptians.
Pictures with unintelligible visual clues. All parts numbered, but no key as to their identify, nor their use.
Apparently, this was in order to avoid a multilingual manual - somone at Numatic needs to recognise that not everyone wants to, nor is able to access, or use YouTube. At least provide an online manual with a key.
I understand, if I am prepared to spend time on the phone someone will go through how to use the wet feature of the George. Really efficient system - not!
I have supported a British company whenever I can, but Numatic have tried my patience with this ramshackle nonsence of a manual.
At least I got the vacuum to work in dry mode, but no thanks to the manual provided! And it's excellent, unlike...

Just bought a Numatic PPH 320. Fantastic piece of kit. Had a Medivac which was manufactured by Numatic for 30 years and got an old Henry for the garage and cars. Always great to deal with and happy to discuss queries. Great to see UK manufacturing too.
Neumatic NRV 240 arrived with wrong…
Neumatic NRV 240 arrived with wrong fittings. Awful cheap plastic construction and had to return the machine. None of the connectors would fit and one fears snapping the plastic clips. Bought it online, and am worried about the returns policy of the Amazon Vendor. These are best bought from high street vendors, after a close examination of all fittings.
