Extremely disappointing experience, no delivery and terrible customer service
I ordered a pair of Socrates Pants 15 days ago and still haven’t received what I paid for.
After contacting customer support several times, all I initially received were generic, AI-generated responses rather than any meaningful assistance.
Finally, about a week after placing my order, I received a response from an actual person informing me that FedEx had lost my parcel.
I gave the company the opportunity to make things right by resending my order. Instead, I was met with complete silence. Five days later, still no response, no replacement, and no solution.
At that point, I’d had enough and requested a full refund. I’m still waiting for a response or even confirmation that my refund will be processed.
So here I am, 15 days after placing my order, with no trousers, no refund, and no meaningful customer service.
For a brand positioning itself as premium and charging premium prices, this level of disorganization and lack of accountability is simply unacceptable.
A genuinely disappointing experience. I expected much better. SAD!

Hi Nils, we're truly sorry to read about your experience and, most importantly, that we let you down.
After reviewing your case, we completely understand your frustration. The parcel was unfortunately lost by the carrier, but where we really fell short was in our handling of the situation before and after, While our AI assistant was able to provide the shipping information it could see, it should have escalated the matter for human investigation once it became clear there was an issue.
We also want to sincerely apologise for the lack of follow-up from our customer service team. Our standard response time is 24-48 hours, and we failed to meet that expectation. Being left waiting for updates, a resolution, and confirmation of your refund is not the experience we want any customer to have.
You are absolutely right that a premium brand should be held to a higher standard, and in this instance we did not meet our own standards for either delivery or customer service.
Our team has now replied to you directly via email and taken action to resolve the matter. While we know this cannot undo the frustration and inconvenience caused, we hope it demonstrates that we take your feedback seriously and are committed to making things right.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Although difficult to read, feedback like this helps us identify where our processes have failed and where we need to improve.

Sizing can vary quite a bit between different brands, which is why we provide a detailed sizing chart to help customers choose the best fit. We’re always happy to assist with sizing before purchase, and you’re welcome to request a free exchange if you’d like to try a different size.
Regarding returns: our return labels are not free, but we only charge half of the actual courier cost. We never profit from returns, we simply cover part of the shipping fee so customers pay less than the real rate.

Poor fit
Joggers are incredibly slim fitting, almost like thermals. Material whilst stretchy, feels very cheap. And refund is way too expensive, especially as the item is not as described

Our 247 Joggers and 365 Joggers are designed with a slim, tapered fit, but they definitely shouldn’t feel like thermals or “cheap” in quality. We’d really like to understand which model you received so we can look into this properly.

Huge fan of the Socrates pants
Huge fan of the Socrates pants, and their training shorts. Product quality is high (have just bought my second pair), as is their customer service in the event of any customs/shipping issues to UK.

5th time unlucky
I’ve bought four pairs of Socrates trousers and a T-shirt from this company over the years, and they’ve always been great quality, which is why I’ve continued to order from them.
Unfortunately, my last two purchases — a pair of slim trousers and a pair of suit trousers — both arrived with holes in the pockets. As I was out of the country at the time, I wasn’t able to return them within the returns window.
It’s particularly disappointing because my previous purchases had been excellent, and I would have happily continued buying from them. However, receiving two defective items in consecutive orders has left me apprehensive about placing another order.

Love this brand
Love this brand! Super cool aesthetic on socials and so on, but it's all about the product right? Well this brand lives up to that! Excellent cut, fabrics and design.
I bought some great pieces for the gym and they've washed time and time again and remain the same quality.
I also have some of the regular clothing. The sweatshirt is super soft, and has kept its shape after washing.
Can't say enouhg great things.

Jeans did not fit twice after return and Change of size. Obviously “B” quality Jean for full size. They also don’t have free return for misfit. It costs 5€. Very unusual.

Regarding returns, we try to be as transparent as possible: exchanges are free, but returns aren’t, as clearly stated in our returns policy. That said, we offer a discounted return label, which are significantly lower than what most carriers charge if you ship it back yourself.

Superb customer service
I ordered one size too small and the site unfortunately didn’t let me exchange the order. There was an option to exchange it for store credit, but then I had to pay extra to buy the same product. Luckily Sam from Nothings Something quickly came with a solution; they sent me a retour label and a brand new pants without hesitation. Great customer service, thank you again!

I have ordered trousers and quater zip…
I have ordered trousers and quater zip 2.12 and got the order confirmation also. No updates on the order after this, no info that they will be late because of the black friday. Sent them email to ask about my order and havent got response yet, so 13 days waiting and still going.
Please inform your customers if you can not keep the promises on your wesite. Telling nothing is not good damage control when dealing with too big pile of orders to send.

Missing refund and no customer service
I ordered two sets of jeans and received them Oct 27.
Same models in same sizes but different colors. Fit was very different, so I had to return one pair.
Return initiated Oct 29.
Wrote e-mail to them Dec 10 as I have heard nothing regarding the return package and refund.
No answer.
Have written them again Dec 12.
So far I can not recommend dealing with this company

Prise en charge immédiate suite à mon commentaire suite à un problème identifié sur ma commande. Je modifie ma note en fonction.
Ancien commentaire : J'ai passé une commande directement depuis le site pour l'achat d'un pantalon Socrates, en payant FEDEX fast delivery pour obtenir le pantalon à temps pour un événement.
J'ai reçu une confirmation de commande. Mon compte a été débité. Et puis plus rien.
J'ai évidemment laissé plusieurs mails sur les différentes adresses du site mais je n'ai jamais obtenu de réponse.

I’ve been excited about receiving my…
I’ve been excited about receiving my order after finding a company that could really solve my problem of not being able to find trousers that fit my build and height. A lot of reviews raving about these.
Unfortunately, I’ve not even had the chance to try them, as I’ve had zero correspondence for over a week even though it states 2-4 days delivery. I’ve emailed a number of times without any response.
I’m genuinely gutted, as I had high hopes.
