I’d give it a zero if I could. Do Not buy, unless you don’t mind donating your money for a product that doesn’t work. Also there should be a warning that Morels won’t grow indoors in their Boomer Bin.

Purchased Blue Oyster spawn and grew in a couple of 5 gallon buckets using straw as the substrate. Production was not as great as I had expected. Purchased two bags of Winecap spawn for a 3x6 and 4x4 raised bed. In one I used wood chips and straw; in the other I used hardwood wood pellets and straw as substrates. It has been two years now and not a single mushroom.

My first experience with North Spore’s customer service was underwhelming. I had to reach out myself to check on my order, and when I did, I made a simple, reasonable ask — a few extra PTFE filter discs to make up for the wait. The response completely sidestepped that request and just gave me a tracking number.
I get that technically the order was within their processing window. But acknowledging a customer’s frustration and making a small goodwill gesture costs almost nothing. The fact that they couldn’t be bothered doesn’t inspire confidence.
Hoping the actual products are better than the support experience.

I purchased the automated Boomr Bin and it turned out to be a huge headache. The humidifier seemed fine but when I came home it was nearly empty. It had a leak and dripped all over my HEPA filter, and completely saturated several textbooks I had. I reached out to North Spore and they were unwilling to offer anything other than a replacement. Which doesn't feel very fair. If they hadn't sent me a defective item I wouldn't have had these textbooks ruined. Mind you Ive spent well over $1000 on products from North Spore. Very disappointing experience. If you buy the kit I would buy a different humidifier elsewhere.

Bought 4 bags cause this placed advertised a good deal. Should have checked the reviews first. The bags are garbage!! Don't even waist your money at this location. I'm not the first they screwed over with bag bags, but I did lose over $100 dealing with this business. And they don't give refunds. They send emails full of questions trying to make it seem like it's your fault. Never had this issue with anything I've ever ordered until I ordered from this place. DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

The Publix I went into while changing my life for the greater good of everything on earth reminded me of the time I went to buy my own home made from scratch brown rice flower and vermiculite, the glass jars, the huge syringe needle, temperature and humidity digital meter, etcetera etcetera. Then I went home and ordered an "everything except the spores" package and it looks like it's going to kick ass. I can't wait to find out!!!

I have purchased from north spore several times and always had a great experience and flush. Thank you for the high quality spores. Not the fastest shipping tho

I don’t think they adequately prepare you for how long the mushroom colony will take to establish, so at first I thought I was scammed when I did everything right late last summer / early fall and nothing grew.

But this spring, there is a bumper crop of winecap mushrooms popping up! So many, they’ve been going crazy behind the shed where I seeded them and I didn’t even think to look.

I would not recommend this company. I placed an order for a NocBox and a BoomrBin, and they lied about when they fulfilled it. Wasted my time. I am not convinced that they are even legit, I think there is a real possibility they could just be scammers.

I purchased a mushroom log as a Christmas gift and it was shipped to the wrong place -- I received EXCELLENT customer service from the North Spore team, who got a new one to the correct address as quickly as they could and without additional cost to me.

The customer service is great. They do a good job replying and making me feel confident in their products.
