We hired Northern Realms (what was Olde Era Events) for our wedding last August. They were amazing! They set everything up at the venue including a gazebo for guests to stand under as it was raining. They were so knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone just absoloutely loved it. They were friendly from emails to in person and everyone just loved it. Everyone had a go, even in the rain! Plus they were competitively priced. Customer service 100%

A year on and we still can't stop talking about it which prompted me to leave this review which I'd always meant to do!

A few weeks back, we entrusted this amazing company to organize a friend’s hen party. We opted for their mobile axe throwing experience, which turned out to be an absolute blast. I wholeheartedly suggest this company for any occasion you’re planning! The team is both wonderful and highly professional. Communication during the booking stage was excellent. If you’re seeking something unique and entertaining for your event, don’t hesitate to book with them!

Northern Realms came to our wedding, we had an absolute blast, our guests loved this event, the team were great, they even helped my blind dad to have a go and he hit the target! Amazing, thanks for helping to make our day so special. Would definitely use Northern realms again, great value and service.

We hired northern realms for some axe throwing at our wedding, and they were fantastic! Everything that was needed was provided and then in full Viking getup all our guests managed to have a go at the axe throwing! It was a fantastic addition and everyone can’t stop talking about how unique it was! We loved every minute of it and would recommend to anyone looking for something different at their wedding!

Amazing experience. Wonderful and friendly teachers and staff. Very welcoming and look amazing in their viking get up. Will definitely hire for future events. Highly recommend

I can't recommend Olde Era Events enough! We booked the archery and axe throwing for our wedding and it was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and professional, it was a great talking point at the wedding, and all the guests loved it.

We had Olde Era Events doing axe and sear throwing for our wedding and it was absolutely fantastic! Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and it wasn't just the sharp weapons, but also the energy and enthusiasm these guys brought to it all (including wearing full costume on what was a somewhat ridiculously hot day). All of the wonderful touches, from advice to rewards for those who did well (or not so well)! Would highly recommend them!

We used Odle Era Events for our Work Christmas ball which was an apres ski themed party with some axe throwing in for fun! It was an excellent night with the scene set by arriving and throwing an axe before entering the party!
The team were very brilliant at managing both the male and female testosterone flying around and it definitely got the party going.

We had the axe throwing for our wedding!
Absolutely sensational, and something different, perfect to make the day rememberable. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed it and could not stop talking about it throughout the night. The set up is very professional and the staff are very knowledgeable and safety Conscious! A fantastic way to start the night!

The Tavern is a joy to behold!
Attended a wedding where The Tavern was the main event (aside from the gorgeous couple obviously!). It is pretty easy to see how adaptable it would be to suit the needs of anybody fortunate enough to use it, and the fact it can be moved elsewhere for usage is so handy (as are the additional tents in-keeping with the theme).
The staff were also so accommodating and attentive, really made guests feel nothing was too much. Drinks and food were top quality too! All round great company!

Phoenix and Chris hosted an axe throwing event for us at our work christmas party last week and they were brilliant. Very easy to communicate with in advance, very professional set up, excellent at encouraging people to let their hair down and have a go and thoroughly nice guys. They have a passion for what they do and it really comes across. We really enjoyed having them with us (so much so, we invited them to stay for dinner). Would 100% use again and would recommend to anybody. You won't be disappointed.

I have used olde era a number of times from the tavern to axe throwing. The staff are fantastic and charismatic and their equipment and setup are unique to them.

I can't recommend them enough.

Olde Era Events have a spectacular team working a unique environment.
I’ve now attended a couple of events in the tavern that they have built & the atmosphere has been spectacular.
The old world feel of the tavern is welcoming and the huge table through the middle means it’s a truly communal experience, groups of people sat side by side who may never have met before can end up becoming friends (or at the very least, singing together at the end of the night).
Add to this the wonderful team, led by the most gracious of hosts Donna & Phoenix, all whom are dressed in period appropriate attire, go out of their way to make your experience all the more memorable and also serve drinks from both the era appropriate setting (mead will forever be my downfall) and your more modern beverages (a beer or pop for a hot day / a coffee or hot chocolate, to which a shot could be added to warm you up).
Then they go and add in archery and ace throwing (which it turns out I’m terrible at) just adds even more to your time with them.
If you have an event of any kind that you want to make a little different, special and memorable, give these guys a shout. You will NOT be disappointed.
Also, if it snows, the tavern looks even more incredible.

I loved working with olde era events on a recent wedding. As a celebrant I encounter different events teams often and I think what stood out to me was that they were the complete package , different members of the team were working on different parts of the day but they were all communicating well and interested in the day as a whole not just their individual part. Start to finish nothing was too much trouble. The guest experience was second to none and there was a lot of positive feedback

An absolutely excellent time we all had at Olde Era Events, you dive into a different world and you can axe throw, archery and have an ale at their Tavern, the hosts Donna, Phoenix and Chris are so lovely and make the day a wonderful unique experience. If you want something a little out if this world, just book them in, you will not regret it 💪 thanks guys xx
