Akbar Shakoor my instructor was brilliant so calm with me no matter what. He constantly made me feel at ease and helped me home in my driving skills. I would definitely recommend him and his driving school if you are looking to pass your test no regrets what so ever

I had 12hours of lessons over 3 days with Mohammed before my test on the 4th day. Great instructor, informative and a gave me confidence leading in to my test. Would highly recommend no gears!!

I passed my driving test at the first attempt! Had always been under-confident and stressed about driving but their instructor Akbar Shakoor, in Manchester is calm, flexible, easy-going and observant. He ensured that I practiced loads on the test routes and got over the instincts that stopped me from driving with ease. I had a wonderful learning experience.

H is a patient, mindful and professional instructor. After changing from my previous instructor due to location change and delays of covid I found H and he was a breath of fresh air. He helped me get rid of all the bad habits I developed and shaped me into the safe driver i am today. His main concern is safety always and wants his students to be safe drivers on the road. He always made me feel comfortable even with the added stress of driving, he always checked on me to make sure I was ok and present. From day one he always told me that I would pass first time and even when I didn’t believe in myself, it was great having someone believe in me and my ability even when I had doubts. Glad to say I did pass first time and it was all because he took the time to teach me and I will forever be grateful to him.

Just passed few days ago, wanna say big thanks to Bill and No Gears Auto DrivingSchool! He made my journey enjoyable despite the challenges of learning how to drive.He has been very supportive especially on the date of my driving test. His patience with me was outstanding as I am a slow learner, it is one of his remarkable traits as an ADI. All the best!

Coming from a bad previous experience H from Letchworth (no gears) helped me to pass with 3 minors! Also helped me to overcome anxious driving and become a confident driver.

Taken me a little bit of time as I've had such a busy time since PASSING my automatic test with the help of H from Letchworth!!
Before meeting H and after failing my manual tests on small but easily made mistakes. I had given up all hope, I am a very awkward and shy person and struggled to feel comfortable around people in the car and during lessons. I had quite a few worries even after driving for awhile cause of worries of accidents etc but from the first lesson with H that all went to the back of my mind and I slowly started getting over my fears. When my partner mentioned doing Automatic I thought no because it's not proper driving as some people say, but H and me had the same views of cars changing to electric/automatic and what's the point in stressing myself out for lessons and gears where I mentally would feel more comfortable focusing on the road over gears. Always had prompt texts to remind me of lessons and reminding me to be safe/have a good day etc always brightening up my day when seeing the text, once getting in the car for every lesson he would always ask about myself, my partner and my family before we even started the lesson, it was like having a friend and an instructor in one. We could sit having a chat for an hour about work or about my rabbits or family but when I was needed to be prompted Driving instructor H would come into place and then it would go back to friendly H. He made me feel so comfortable in the car and behind the wheel & I could not recommend him enough. I only have positive things to say about him... only thing negative Is I won't be seeing him anymore!! But I think I would always have a friend if I was ever in need. So thank you for everything H and you have made a driver out of me...! All the way to Lake District, Telford, Dagenham and back in under 2 weeks of passing, who would of thought shy ol Sophie being like that!! Recommend H with No Gears 100/10

I took my driving lessons with Carl Slater in Bury and I'm so glad that I did. I am the more mature woman so it took me a lot longer than most. Carl believed in me at times when I felt like giving up on ever becoming a driver. I had two previous instructors before Carl and stopped the lessons, they just didn't have the same patience and understanding! I simply cannot recommend Carl enough and would not have passed first time if not for him. Best driving instructor ever!

H. Sunner taught my teenage daughter to drive. She passed 1st time with only two minors. The Driving Examiner called her a "Fab Driver". This is all thanks to H.Sunner.
On my initial meeting with H. Sunner he assured me not only is his goal to pass first time but more importantly to produce a safe and competent driver.
If you are looking for a driving instructor in the North Herts area I highly recommend H.Sunner. H.Sunner is a true gentleman and has a passion for teaching.

I don't usually write reviews on these things, but after seeing negative feedback regarding H in letchworth, I felt it was needed.. my partner was very nervous and after failing 2 tests, didn't want to push herself to do more, after an initial meeting with H, she instantly felt at ease, her driving has improved so much after the first few lessons, her confidence boosted and her attitude towards a test was completely different, Yesterday I can say she finally passed her test with 4 minors! H has been exceptional with her and is completely outstanding to all the other instructors out there! I can't recommend him enough! 👌💯

Having failed twice badly with previous instructors, I started having lessons with H in Letchworth. He made me a really good driver and I passed first time under him with only 4 minors. His instruction was very clear and repetitive so it stuck in my head. Probably the best instructor I could have chosen.

To say I was a nervous wreck at the thought of driving is an understatement. I’ve had multiple car accident deaths in my family and I had a genuine phobia of being behind the wheel; not to mention a previous instructor that only ever shouted at me and reduced me to tears.

Getting into the car with H was like a breathe of fresh air. When I explained my fears he was so understanding. I even made him take me to a car park to start with because I was so nervous of being on the roads. Even though he didn’t agree that I needed to start in a car park, he listened to me and did just that.

My entire experience with him as my instructor was as if a friend was by my side. Even on my bad days (I’m a single mum) he was there to encourage me and offer me advice, he was amazing. Yes he nagged, “check your mirrors”, more times than I count, even when I already was checking them! But he was teaching me to be a GREAT driver, not just to pass my test.

I passed with NO MINORS.
Me, a woman with a phobia of driving, passed with NO MINORS. And I can safely say I couldn’t have done it without him pushing me to face my fears and being there for me every step of the way.

Before starting lessons with H,l was ready to give up as l had been through other instructors who insisted on booking me in for more lessons and tests without addressing the major flaws in my driving.

I’m naturally anxious and apprehensive which makes it slightly difficult to learn and execute something like driving. l can only imagine how hard it is to teach but, despite this H helped me to unlearn old habits, get progressively confident and, he taught me everything l needed not only pass but ultimately to become a safe driver!

His confidence in his own teaching abilities, his style of teaching and the resources and tips he offered made me confident that l could pass first time and I DID!

I’m truly grateful for his respectful and understanding nature and, his tireless efforts in pushing me to be more decisive and confident because without addressing those two elements l don’t believe l would have passed first time.

The bonus of having H as my instructor was his sense of humour which made the lessons more enjoyable without compromising on learning!

Coming from a country with left-hand traffic, the thought of driving was not a pleasant one. This was until H came to my rescue. I could not have asked for a better driving instructor. His patience and humour makes you feel at ease, like talking to a friend. Yet his professionalism cannot be understated. He has a way of explaining things which makes learning an enjoyable and stress-free experience. Indeed, H and I remain friends and thanks to him life has been much easier. Thank you H.

So, I passed my test just over a year ago, and during my lessons, I had H as my instructor, and I couldn't have wished for anyone better. He was professional, supportive, understanding, and friendly.
From our very first lesson together, we developed a very good friendship, which continued to grow throughout my lessons. We would always joke around with each other, and he is very easy to talk to. We even stay in touch to this day. He was kind enough to buy me bottles of water during my summer lessons.
Whenever necessary, H would sometimes finish our lessons early if I had to leave early and would be understanding if I needed to change the day of my lessons for the future weeks if something came up.
With his lessons, I was able to pass first time. He makes sure you are more than prepared for your actual test, so if you have H, get ready to celebrate passing your test.

I had H as my driving instructor and he was the most professional and friendly instructor I have had the pleasure of learning with. He helped me to pass in the time I needed to pass he was supportive and honest all the time. He even took me to do my theory test in Luton as I couldn’t get there. So he made the time to take me and wait for me so I could get home. He gave extra time if you needed it. I have now passed my driving test months ago. And still speak to H regularly he was my instructor. But quickly became and remained a friend. Thank you again H. I hope you see this mate.

Carl at no gears Bury is an absolute star. My lessons have been over a lengthy period because of Covid and also my initial severe nervousness. Passed first time today and Carl has played a massive part in this.

Passed first time! H was an amazing driving instructor, I felt so relaxed whilst learning so much within 2 hours! His teaching methods were outstanding, and he is such a lovely man - I gained a friend and a license, couldn’t have asked for anything better :)

This was the best driving school for my daughter. H was a verydriving instructor, he was always so calm and such a lovely man. He had such a good technique she learnt so much from him in a short space of time and she passed first time with only 3 minors .
I have just seen a review saying very nasty things about H , I can not let this go and see such a talented man slated on here .
He was a excellent driving instructor .
