Seems a good camera but images only viewable by removing the card and playback on a computer. The app never works. There are no sensible instructions for the app.

The Nextbase Rear-View Camera is designed with a narrower, telephoto lens, to record the view of the road directly behind your vehicle. The view recorded is similar to the image seen in your rear-view mirror. It uses a 30° telephoto lens to look back through the vehicle, capturing details of the road behind, making sure you are guarded against tailgaters and rear end impacts. The Rear-View Camera can easily be installed by clicking it into the side of your front facing Nextbase Dash Cam model. Compatible with: 322GW 422GW 522GW 622GW (Will NOT work with Piqo) Resolution When you are using a rear-view camera module the resolution of your front camera will automatically adjust to manage the two high resolution video files. The options for these settings are: 622GW Front 4K, Rear 1080p 422/522GW Front 1080p, Rear 1080p OR Front 1440p, Rear 720p 322GW Front 1080p, Rear 720p Module connectivity Connects directly to your Dash Cam and records the rear view of your journey through your car. Compatible with Nextbase 322GW, 422GW, 522GW and 622GW models. Not compatible with the 512GW or 380GWX.

Fits well on to the Nextbase 522gw and works simultaneously to provide a good view out of the rear window. Picture quality is good and number plates can easily be read. Clearly, if anyone sits in the middle of the rear seat the view is restricted.

The camera itself is excellent. But I wish I’d read the reviews before buying because wouldn’t have bought from Nextbase . The app required to view any footage simply doesn’t work. The Nextbase support team are beyond useless. Read the Nextbase app reviews before buying

Does the job, but I only use it occasionally to keep an intermittent eye on the dogs when they are in the boot as well as using it as a rear-view dash cam. Normally I use the standard fitted rear cam.

I looked at getting a separate rear view camera but as I have an suv the wiring was too messy .This plug-in addition to my next base was on great offer through their website and provides an excellent rear view through the car and rear window. Recommended as an economic upgrade.

The camera is great. The app not so great! Every time you want to view the video footage you have to wait for the app to link up with the camera and you are told it's looking for a high speed connection, which takes forever and fails alot of the time.

I tried the wired rear cam but it kept cutting out dab radio..so had to get the plug in one.with all the mobility equipment in the rear it only just sees out of rear window.
