Poor Communication
After placing our order I called to confirm that the appliance had no defects and was told it was in perfect condition. Despite this our appliance arrived damaged and we had to refuse delivery. Whether this was caused by the delivery company I don't know but we are now without an oven. Initially the customer services were apologetic and helpful, stating they would get back to us in 24hrs. However no one did bother to get back to us and I only happened to check my emails to see I had a refund by PayPal. It would have been nice for them to have the courtesy confirming they in fact do not have an alternative appliance to offer me instead.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. However, on the day of the delivery our customer services manager spoke to your partner and apologised for the damage caused by the delivery crew as they may have put something heavy on the oven for the aluminium to have buckled, which was also the opinion of your partner. Your partner was also told that if there is no direct replacement for the damaged oven we will refund you in full within 24 hours. This was agreed as your partner did say that the oven you had was sold and someone was coming down that afternoon to collect it and you will be without an oven. So it was mutually agreed that a full refund would be ideal and quick solution as you would need the funds to buy another oven straight away.
We do sincerely apologise to you and your partner about the damage to your oven and putting through the inconvenience of looking and purchasing another one.

Cancelled order without telling me
I ordered an oven, and waited patiently for my delivery date. After a week without any contact, I happened to check my credit card statement and the payment had been refunded 2 days after my order. I got in touch only to be told that I had been contacted via PayPal to let me know their "forklift driver had an accident in our warehouse whilst dispatching your order". I mentioned that I had paid directly using my credit card and the E-commerce Manager then sent me a screenshot of the message they sent - a message that didn't arrive because I hadn't used PayPal (nothing in Spam folder either). I double-checked my PayPal account and there are no transactions recorded to this company at all, and my credit card statement just has the payee as "APPLIANCES" and not "PayPal *APPLIANCES". I've been made to feel it was my fault I didn't know they'd cancelled the order. Very disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It is true that we had to cancel your order due to an accident in the warehouse, in fact 6 appliances were damaged. Our sales team do not have access to customers payment methods for obvious reason and we deal with PayPal as a gateway for all payments and refunds. So not to avoid any delay our sales team sent one message to all customers using the PayPal system to inform of this accident and refund the monies too as we did not have a replacement to offer.

A far from perfect washing machine!
We ordered a washing machine, in good faith and according to the original advertising, that, apart from missing its original outer packaging, it would be perfect and in good working order. The delivery company were excellent and kept us informed of our allotted delivery time. However from that point it all went wrong...
As soon as we took off the bubble wrap, we noticed scratches and dents, particularly to the front of the (apparently perfect) machine. I took photos of the damage but, because we were desperate to use the machine and start on our back log of washing, we plumbed it in and put in our first wash load. However the washing machine would not work. A troubleshooting code appeared which stated in the manual that the door was not closed properly. On closer inspection we realised that the door was not fitted properly and therefore it would be impossible to close. (Even the manual, that was in the drum, was saturated with water and we had to peel the pages apart!) I immediately phoned NewLife Appliances but was told by the phone operator that all of the staff are on furlough and no one can deal with any problems until they return to work.
Obviously I realise that the staffing situation, due to Covid-19, can’t be helped but I am so frustrated that this company has my money and I have a faulty product.
