Useful and friendly
The consultant was punctual and attentive. She read my application form and asked clarifying questions to provide advice that was necessary for my particular situation. I appreciated the individual approach, friendly attitude. The consultant answered the questions that interested me.
Regarding the service of the company itself, I am satisfied with the communication. The only thing I still don't know is if my insurance company has agreed to cover the cost of these consultations, so it's difficult for me to schedule future appointments.

Disappointed
I'm not sure if all of their consultants would receive the same review from me, but the woman I spoke with, while very nice, did not provide the assistance I was hoping for. I had multiple questions related to BF and pumping and my baby's excessive gas. She seemed like she was in a rush and spent only 30 minutes with me. She didn't even ask to see him nurse to evaluate latch or anything. She said she was going to have me check his palate and that she wanted to see how my pump flanges fit me but she rushed off so quickly she didn't even do those things. The visit summary she provided me had included things we didn't even talk about so I'm not sure how to implement them. I basically had already learned everything she did tell me through Google. I was hoping for more in depth help especially since they are IBCLCs and there are none in my area. I'm supposed to have a follow up apt with a different consultant. I ended up canceling that apt.

Highly recommend NEST
I had a great experience with nest from the beginning days of bringing my daughter home all the way until weaning her. I was supported by all the providers and provided with a lot of good information to help me understand what is going on and what I should be looking for or doing. It was helpful to have virtual appointments as life with a newborn-toddler makes it difficult to get out of the house.

This is a SCAM. Unethical and awful.
This is an absolute scam. This organization preys on women at their most vulnerable and delivers absolutely no help, support, or encouragement. I had the most horrible 30 minute, virtual appointment with a consultant that left me in tears and in a WAY worse mental state than before. THEN I was billed $800 for the service. This pricing was NOT available online and the lack of transparency is incredibly unethical. No woman should have to experience this service not to mention being billed that amount afterwards.

We understand how distressing it must have been to feel let down after your appointment, and we genuinely regret that this was your experience. We'd like to clarify that any EOB you receive from your insurance company is not a bill. Nest's billing team advocates directly with most insurances for full coverage of lactation care, often taking months and multiple appeals, ultimately resulting in more than 99% of our patients paying $0 out-of-pocket for our services. We recommend reaching out to our billing department with any billing-related questions.
Once more, we are truly sorry about your experience with Nest Collaborative. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate support for those at any stage in their breastfeeding journey & we are saddened that your experience was anything less than supportive & helpful.
