Great experience
I thought I knew a lot going into my initial meeting. Boy was I so wrong! They had lots of great information and the lady I worked with was so enjoyable and listened with open ears to any questions I had. Would highly recommend!

No follow through, no proper diagnose
I was really encouraged by the support I was getting, but I was really uncomfortable that I could not see one dedicated lactation consultant to follow up on my situation. The fact that every meeting is a different person is not helpful and the support remains very shallow. On top of that, I saw a lactation consultant in person (on my own) and she really diagnosed me, she checked myself and my baby, the latch, and she instructed me in very different directions from the Nest Collaborative consultants, which helped me much more with only 1 appointment. The fact that I spoke with 3 different people and none of them saw me breastfeed my baby is concerning (he was with me in all 3 sessions) -and I was given incorrect directions regarding pumping. So, what I thought it was really valuable it was actually making my situation worse. It would be great to be able to choose one person to follow you through and get a proper assessment by the virtual consultant. You should review a few aspects of your service. Still got value from it, but very frustrating on the other hand.

Theresa was very informative and in-tune with the conversation.
Theresa was very informative and a good listener plus very supportive. I was looking for a refresher for the first few months once baby is born and she helped with giving me a visual per se of what to expect as far as feeding on demand and the changes my body would be going through and experiences with breastfeeding a second-time around. So overall very helpful and relieved some nervous.

Great experience

We really enjoyed our experience with our lactation consultant, Jodi. They are very thorough and work to make sure you are supported in any way you need. If you are looking for virtual consulting, I highly recommend.

Do not recommend
I tried Nest as it is covered in my insurance, however I wouldn’t recommend having an online session when it comes to lactation, as it is difficult for the consultant to check your baby’s latch from Camera. The session was 30 minutes and had a big timer on the screen which made me feel stressed about the time.
I was the one talking the most and I haven’t received any tips that I was not already aware of ..

You might not be covered, despite what they say.
I was recommended this company by my OB. They confirmed with me both by email and via phone my consultation would be 100% covered by my insurance. I had trouble connecting with anyone from billing despite leaving multiple voicemails over several days and because concerned. They cancelled my appointment and said the billing team was “in a meeting” the last few weeks and would call me back at some point. Luckily, I did not go through with the appointment because they said I was not covered at all! Please do not trust customer service as they do not know if you have coverage or not. I do not believe they contacted my insurance at all. I contacted my own insurance and they were not able to verify my coverage without additional information from Nest, which I could not obtain because they don’t return calls! They offered for me to pay out of pocket, but I declined. Now I have to be on the lookout for cancellation fees.
