Ndzhaka exceeded every expectation, offering the authentic rustic bushveld experience we were hoping for. Waking up to nature at its very best right from the deck of our tent was simply unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, we received the warmest, most heartfelt welcome. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely at home and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, memorable, and truly special. The peaceful ambience provided the perfect setting to relax, unwind, and reconnect with nature.
The food was prepared with care and warmth, and special compliments to Chef Sharon and Chef Percy for creating such delicious meals throughout our stay. The tomato soup was an absolute standout and remains one of my favourite dishes from the trip.
The tents were comfortable, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped. The hot water bottle waiting for us each evening was a wonderful touch on the chilly bush nights, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable and cosy.
Our game drives were incredible, with sightings of leopard, cheetah, elephant, hippo, rhino, lion, buffalo, and a variety of antelope, to name just a few. What I appreciated most was that the Manyeleti Reserve never felt overcrowded, allowing for a far more intimate and authentic safari experience. Our guide, Mike, was exceptional. His knowledge and passion for the bush were evident throughout, and he took us off the beaten track, through the bush and over the hills, making every drive an adventure. Tracking down and finding the buffalo was an unforgettable highlight.
Ndzhaka delivers a genuinely high-quality safari experience, combining exceptional hospitality, wonderful food, comfortable accommodation, and outstanding wildlife encounters. We left with incredible memories and will certainly be returning for another visit.

We had a lovely time at Ndzhaka Tented Camp, the staff are friendly, attententive and always available. The tents are spacious, bedding is super comfortable and newly refurbished bathrooms are modern.

Our game drives were the best we've ever had, we saw all the big cats & the big 5. Our guide Elvis, was very knowledgable, educating us on the different trees, plants & creatures of the bush.

Ndzakha Tented Camp – Ein unvergessliches Wildnis-Erlebnis ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Das Ndzakha Tented Camp ist schlicht und ergreifend ein Ort, den man nie wieder vergessen wird. Von der ersten Minute an herrschte eine warme, familiäre Atmosphäre, die das Camp von anderen Unterkünften deutlich abhebt.
Was das Ndzakha wirklich besonders macht, ist die kompromisslose Wildnis-Erfahrung: Das Camp ist vollständig offen gestaltet, sodass die Tiere frei durch das Gelände ziehen können. Wer hier übernachtet, ist mittendrin in der Natur – kein Zaun, keine künstliche Barriere, nur echtes Afrika.
Das Team ist der eigentliche Herzschlag des Camps. Debbie und Vincent haben als Ansprechpartner für alles gesorgt, dass es wirklich an nichts gefehlt hat – aufmerksam, herzlich und immer zur Stelle. Percys Küche war eine echte Freude: leckeres, liebevoll zubereitetes Essen, das nach langen Safari-Tagen genau das Richtige war. Und dann ist da noch Hudson – ein lieber, etwas älterer Herr, der nicht nur die Koffer trägt, sondern einen abends auch mit der Taschenlampe sicher zum Zelt begleitet – für den Fall, dass man unterwegs einem Wildtier begegnet. Eine kleine Geste mit großer Wirkung.
Das Highlight schlechthin waren unsere zwei Safaris mit Elvis, unserem Guide – eine am Abend und eine am frühen Morgen. Beide waren auf ihre ganz eigene Art unvergesslich und zeigten, wie unterschiedlich und faszinierend die Wildnis zu verschiedenen Tageszeiten sein kann. Mit über 30 Jahren Erfahrung ist Elvis ein wandelndes Lexikon der Wildnis – keine Frage blieb unbeantwortet. Was ihn jedoch wirklich auszeichnet, ist seine Flexibilität und sein Gespür für die Gäste: Statt täglich dieselbe Route abzufahren, fragte er jeden Morgen, welche Tiere wir sehen wollten, und passte seine Route entsprechend an. Das Ergebnis? Jede Safari war ein einzigartiges Erlebnis.
Ich würde dieses Camp jederzeit wieder buchen. Wer die echte, unverfälschte Wildnis Südafrikas erleben möchte – mit einem Team, das das Herz am rechten Fleck hat – ist hier goldrichtig.

Just got back from a week at Ndzhaka Lodge in Manyeleti and wow, what an experience! I’ve stayed at pretty much all the big Big 5 reserves in South Africa, but honestly I think Ndzhaka is better than Sabi Sands.
The best part is you can drive all over the whole reserve, and they allow off-road game drives which lets us get really close up to the animals. There’s also extremely low traffic on the reserve, which makes it feel so unique and special. The game viewing was insane – I had the best leopard and cheetah sightings I’ve ever had in my life. We even got to watch hyenas and wild dogs on a kill right from our tent, which was crazy!
The lodge has had some really nice upgrades, especially the bathrooms — they’re lovely now. It’s unfenced so you really feel deep in the bush. Every night we could hear lions and hippos making sounds most of the night – proper bush vibes.
Food was great, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the game vehicles are nice and new. No complaints at all.
If you’re thinking about going, I would 100% recommend Ndzhaka. Amazing place!
