Like many others Hmrc advised me that they had sent a cheque on the 18th of October and I heard nothing until I emailed them and they asked for my bank details, feel the company keeps the money in their own accounts to be earning interest along with the large fees they take, needless to say I have still not received anything and will not hold my breath I am going to contact Hmrc as a starting point to try and stop this company. Finally got my money and they took 50% in fees, don’t touch this company I used Claim my tax back for another claim and they never took nearly as much in fees

Nationwide PPI Advice LTD have taken control of a family member's tax affairs with HMRC by using fake signatures on letters to HMRC.
As a result my family member has had a substantial cheque sent from HMRC to Nationwide PPI Advice and has had all of this money taken by Nationwide PPI Advice and none of the monies given to her.
A shocking company that is carrying out fraudulent activity and defrauding innocent people of considerable sums of money.
Sadly HMRC carry out no checks into these fake signatures provided to them by this company and so are allowing this company to steal significant sums of money from innocent people.

I let them deal with my ppi tax refund i cant even remember what month but i have heard nothing from them since. Then to my surprise an email from hmrc to say i was owed money and cheque was being sent to them by 14th nov. I have still not heard anything from this company. How long do they take to forward cheque (minus thier fee).
I have used email address below to see if someone will answer me but reading others post im not holding my breathe it will be anytime soon.
Well i did hear from them after i emailed them and withing 48 hrs money was in my bank. £68 from a £198 refund.
33.3% plus VAT + £50 fee.
I said perhaps when they ring people they should state this on a phone call. Who ever reads the small print. Which i suppose is my own stupid fault

After receiving a two letters from hmrc telling me I had rebates I contacted nationwide about them.i received my money but to my surprise they charged me £100 processing fee for the two cheques..after having a rebate for nearly £800 I received 379 after they had taken their fees.i'd avoided this company at all costs I have tried contacting them about my unhappiness about the fee paid but they have ignored my emails.
Update after emailing them 3 days ago when asked in here I've still not received a reply
After speaking to nicola on the phone they have agreed to refund the admin fee..I'm glad the issue has been resolved

Could the company Nationwide ppi advice ltd pls check my tax return application as I've recently received conformation that a cheque from HMRC has been forwarded to there company however I've rang & emailed but not yet received a reply either way from Nationwide ppi advice confirming they have received the monies or when im likely to receive my return.
Either way I just want to know if its processing or if I've been scammed.This has been going on since June 23 confirmed letter of money owed to me sent 15th October 2023.

Received a letter from hmrc saying a payment for reclaimed tax had been sent to nationwide ppi advice ltd. This was in July. Was unable to contact the company and finally in October I received a cheque from them (minus a large chunk of the refunded amount) cheque was paid into my account and promptly bounced! No joy in contacting them and will be pursuing them through the small claims courts to recover my money. Avoid at all costs, easy to reclaim tax without using a third party!

This company is awful avoid at all costs never known a company that does not respond to emails or have a contact number numerous emails sent all of which are being ignored just takes time an effort out of your day to try an get hold of them

I have been waiting since the beginning of October for this company to confirm that they will only be taking fees from the PPI part of my tax rebate HMRC have sent them the full refund I was due, the majority of which is from previous employment. I chased them again yesterday (13/11/23) and all I get as a response is that I will receive a BACS payment within 7 working days. I'm not holding my breath and have already advised them that I will take it further if I don't get the information I have been asking for since the day HMRC issued the cheque.
They are reasonable at responding but utterly useless at answering the question you ask. Hilariously, they then asked me to leave a review which I did say they wouldn't want me to do! I doubt I'll get the financial incentive for this review but that's OK, I just want the money I'm owed!
I have also noticed that they request that reviews are changed once they have responded on here. I hope they understand that even if they give me double the refund I am due, there is no way I am changing this review.
Thanks for the response. I'm not going to email again as I had given you until 5pm yesterday and am now taking legal advice. I have attached a screenshot of the email thread for you to view.

These rang me back in march about tax refunds etc and what they do is go through it with you pressure you to sign the email quick knowing you won't read the terms and they don't explain the main part of the terms to you.
Basically they'll get you a refund but they'll rob you of over half or most of it.
Anyway the guy said i will hear from them within 12 weeks which i didn't hear anything until last week when HMRC sent me a load of letters and it turns out they only put the claim in in august which again i find very sly when they told me they'd send it straight in.
Now you can't get in touch with them over the phone (surprise surprise) so i had to send them a pretty strong email to get them to reply to which they told me they've recieved money from HMRC again not the amount HMRC told me(far less) and if i sent my bank details they'd send me my cut(less than half) bare in mind i'm overpaying tax and entitled to it.
I wonder if they'd of even bothered getting in touch or sending me anything if i'd not of sent them that email.
Be careful of these i wouldn't be surprised if they've not paid some people.
Never once kept me informed of anything i've had to find out everything myself. I'm also giving them the chance to call me and discuss as i've left musltiple voicemails

Contacted Nationwide Ppi and they were very helpful regarding my refund. HMRC contacted me and then I emailed Nationwide Obviously they have a lot to deal with but have assured me my refund will be paid promptly. Great service. Thanks fir all the help.

Nationwide gave me a call, asked questions, they filled all the forms and emailed me forms to sign and send back to them, that was it is it. They even did my wife's claim as well and sent her form by email to sign and send. If you go to their website you can fill in online form to see if you will be success full.

I heard about Nationwide though a friend who kept on to me about claiming a tax over payment because I didn't have the time to fill out forms and follow up. But decided to contact Nationwide and I must admit they kept me informed the whole time and eventually got money paid in to my bank account....brilliant!!

After requesting Nationwide PPI advice UK to check if I may be entitled to a tax rebate, I was very surprised to receive notification from Inland Revenue informing me I was entitled to a rebate, but after reading some of the previous reviews, I was concerned I may not see any of the money. I spoke to Inland Revenue who advised me to wait for about two weeks to allow the payment to go through.
I then emailed Nationwide PPI on Wednesday and after providing my bank details yesterday the payment due to me was credited to my bank account.
I am very pleased with the result of my claim.

Had contact from Nationwide PPI back in April about some tax refund I could claim, gave permission for them to act on my behalf, many months passed with no communication, then in August a letter from HMRC saying I was owed money, cheque was sent to Nationwide.
Then nothing till October, I got a cheque which bounced as was returned as fraudulent.
Emailed Nationwide with proof of this, provided alternative payment method, Bingo... within 24hrs I had £353.28p in my bank that I didn't even know I was owed.
Thanks for your service, but my only critique and advice is that you make more effort to send updates and better progress communications, so we know what's happening 😉
