Appalling

Appalling. CEO whom I have emailed direct several times following her officers inability to comply with written and oral instructions not to send any post to a shared letter box. she has failed to respond once. Speaks volumes of the utter contempt shown to a disabled customer . No explanation has been made by the Nationwide cannot simply press a button to stop post. No explanation has been given who has access or who has my data. Clear breach of Numerous Acts to include GDR and Data Protection. The rudeness and ineptitude of the staff has no bounds . Even the branch staff are horrified by the arrogance with a could not care less attitude of the staff. Closing my account. I would not even give the executive staff one point. Minus point.I would NOT recommend the Nationwide at any level.

Scottsdale Insurance DBA Nationwide Insurance Review

My experience with Scottsdale Insurance has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I filed a legitimate claim for compensation after suffering a wrongful arrest due to the tortious acts of Sixt Rental Car Company, Scottsdale’s insured. Instead of addressing my claim fairly, Scottsdale denied it based on an irrelevant exclusion—‘breach of contract.’ This exclusion had nothing to do with my case, which involved serious issues like defamation, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution, all of which should have been covered under the policy.

Despite their obligation to act in good faith, Scottsdale ignored the clear merits of my case and unfairly denied coverage. Their handling of my claim was negligent and demonstrated a lack of consideration for the damages I have suffered. This bad faith denial has only prolonged my financial hardship and emotional distress.

I would caution anyone dealing with Scottsdale to be aware of their tactics. It seems they prioritize denying claims over properly evaluating the harm their policyholders have caused. If you are seeking an insurance company that will truly stand by you when you need it most, Scottsdale is not the one.

I do not recommend this bank…

I joined this branch because my mum has been with them with her mortgage and completed two mortgages. But I'll have to find elsewhere, first I transferred my money and the systems crashed for the whole day, and then somehow a payment was taken twice and when I called to have it resolved I had the unfortunate experience of having a terrible customer service representative that just didn't want to help at all, a month later I received a letter saying my account will be closed due to the conversation(apparently I was racist but I'm white/Indian and black). I wouldn't recommend joining this bank.

My city was hit hard by Hurricane…

My city was hit hard by Hurricane Helene and my lights went out last Friday. Due to the heat and my asthma we booked a hotel til Dominion energy’s projected repair for today at 11 am that never happens and we’re still in the dark. Started a claim and Nationwide took 2 days to deny helping me and my family.

Scam T4Trade

Just want to say BIG THANK YOU
If it hadn't of been for the quick actions of Lady Cashier in Nationwide Waltham Cross branch flagging up a second payment I was about to make T4Trade as looking Fraudulent an advised strongly against.Then Nationwide Fraud Department specialists quickly taking action. As I was victim of Scam!
Please anyone thinking of using T4Trade DON'T.
I am so very grateful on this occasion Nationwide was able to reimburse the money I lost as thought wouldn't see it again!

Garbage Insurance company.

Mother passed and we no longer need the home owners insurance policy on the house. The call-bot will refuse to connect you to a rep to do anything and continuously hangs up the call. Cancelation requests cannot be submitted via email either, and the Reps just point you to the call-bot number which throws you in a giant loop. The last rep spoken to said to just leave the auto pay on and when the funds run out of the account it will cancel itself for non-payment....

I'm a veterinarian and have…

I'm a veterinarian and have recommending Nationwide Pet Insurance to clients for years. I've also been a member for several years. Like many others, Nationwide has suddenly dropped my plans, leaving me with pets who are uninsurable due to pre-existing conditions. I understand that it's for financial reasons, however they had many other options to ensure they kept their commitment to their current clients. At least honor the plans with pre-existing conditions. I'm fortunate in that I'm able to pay for my kitty's chemotherapy out of pocket if needed. That is not the case for many people who relied on their policy, who paid their premiums regularly, and who now can no longer afford care for their pets. It's especially disheartening that they're continuing to sign up young, healthy pets while dropping those that currently need care. If you're considering Nationwide, please DO NOT trust them. Go with someone else. If you have healthy pets that you can switch over, do it now before they get sick or injured. I personally will never use Nationwide for any insurance in the future and will speak out against them in daily practice as a vet.

30 years and no loyalty

30 years home and auto. No claims. A hailstorm dinged up my roof and now a window leaks. Not covered? While several neighbors with other insurance companies have gotten new roof and $. Then I am told I will not be renewed unless the repairs are made at my expense. I have changed my auto insurance and save $800 a year. Will be changing home as well. They are in business to take your money and not to help you when you need it.

Ditch them

My husband and I have had nationwide insurance for home and auto for almost 17 years. Recently nationwide sent out a 3rd party to photograph the outside of our home and shed. They then sent us a letter stating they would cancel our policy unless we replaced our shed and roof. Neither our shed nor roof has issues or are in poor condition-not to mention we got a new roof covered by nationwide some few years ago. Being extremely disappointed with nationwide (and their customer service) as long time customers, we decided to make the switch to state farm-same coverage but the cost cut in half. Our car insurance went from $120 a month to $60 a month. We won’t recommend nationwide to anyone.

Old guys shouldn't drive

A guy here in NH scraped the psngr side of my car and pushed my mirror in, as he SAW me and kept coming into my lane (L) because the lane he was in (R) was only to turn right.....because he told his insurance, Nationwide, that he didn't hit me ( another old guy backed into my car in July and claimed also 'he didn't know he hit me') they're denying the claim.

I have used Nationwide since 1985 and…

I have used Nationwide since 1985 and have never filed a claim. This includes home, vehicle and farm. Total premiums paid are over $300,000.00 with no claims submiited. This spring our house was hit by hail. We have a replacement policy with a $5,000.00 deductible which we raised to offset the increase in premiums. Our contractor met with the nationwide adjuster to show the damage required of us to pay for a roof. After 39 years of us paying the premiums on time with no claims submitted ever, keep in mind over $300,000.00 in premiums paid, NATIONWIDE denied our claim. We carry a "5,000.00 deductible to offset the last 5 yrs premiums increases and wrote a check for just over $19,000.00 to pay for our roof replacement. NATIONWIDE IS NOT ON YOUR SIDE. WE CERTAINLY HOPE PEYTON MANNING IS RECEIVING ADEQUATE COMPESATION TO OFFSET THE COVERAGE NATIONWIDE DOES NOT PROVIDE. You should be ashamed.

14 years clean driving record. Rates keep going up!

I've had Nationwide insurance for my auto and renters for 14 years. Their rates for me as a new driver were fair. As time passed without any accidents or speeding tickets, my rates would go down (which is what you'd expect from an insurance company). The last couple of years, my rates kept climbing. 14 years with a clean record and my monthly payment has doubled. When I contacted them for information on this, I couldn't get a real person to talk to. After weeks of attempts, all they had to say about it was it was something beyond their control. I compared my same plan with an even better deductible for accidents with other insurance companies and got 50% less of the price than what I'm paying now with Nationwide. Once our 6 month contract is over, we are switching. If you have a clean drivers record, rates should go down - NOT UP!

Home Insurance

I made a claim under my house insurance a few years ago, despite the initial call handler telling me that my policy didn't cover a leaking toilet it was all resolved, and can't fault that. (Well maybe some of the contractors that turned up never being given a proper scope of works but that's another story)

My following years cover went up in cost as expected, this year it's ramped up a further 29%, when I went to cancel it there's not even an offer to price match or try and provide a better deal.

Like most insurances, companies are using any excuse just to increase prices and profit margins.

I would love to support Nationwide

I would love to support Nationwide, being a mutual organisation, and it pains me to give such a negative review, but I find it truly amazing that they felt that without any claims this year, and being a customer of theirs since the 90s, they could increase my premium by 49.997% in one year. Ridiculous. When I called up to cancel, I got, "Do you want me to see what we can do for you in terms of price?" No. I dont like being ripped off, and as a result Im going somewhere else. A real shame as I want to use them, but £373 to £559 in one year is just not acceptable.

My negative experience with nationwide


My experience with nationwide until now has been good. I recently experienced roof damage to my home a few months ago. A contractor came to my home, and it was determined that my roof needs to replaced as a Result of wind damage. Nationwide informed the contractor that my roof can be patched. My contractor, then informed nationwide that my roof shingles Were Discontinued. Nationwide then told my contractor that they can patch my roof using a different shingle of a different color, which in my opinion is totally unacceptable. My roof would have patches all over it of a different color and shingle make. That type of repair Will Lower the value of my home, which I value and would be an Embarrassment To me and my fellow home owners… this type of treatment was totally unexpected from an insurance company of this caliber.

Great Service

This morning I had texts and calls from the Nationwide about some activity on my account that they were unsure about. I did not respond to the texts or calls in case they were scams but I called the number given on their banking app. The guy was SO helpful and sorted everything smoothly and helpfully. We have had issues like this before with fraudulent use of the our credit cards and they have always been brilliant!

I can't understand the 1 star reviews that some people have left. I think the Nationwide are terrific.
