I would avoid

They don't mention that motility accuracy degrades massively as the sample is being transported.

The sample took 29 hours to reach them. The motility results were much lower than expected. Only after you pay the £199 do they mention on the results that the motility can be much higher due to degradation during transport.

And they are very "in your face" to mention you had a bad result when you receive your report. They then recommend you order the £199 test again (to establish a baseline they say) and to also schedule a £50 consultation for 15 minutes with their doctors. It's a lot of upsell.

This is a very bad business idea. Save your money and do it at a proper clinic.

Result Sharing and Interpretation: We understand that unexpected results can be concerning. Our report provides clear, factual information based on WHO standards, but how results are communicated may vary with our partners. Fertility testing often doesn’t offer a straightforward answer. While your results may suggest variations in semen quality and fertility potential, many factors influence fertility. This test offers insights into sperm health rather than a definitive yes or no answer. At Mojo, any results indicating reduced sperm parameters are reviewed with our medical team first to help you understand them.

Sample Transportation and Motility: Our methods use a clinically studied preservation buffer and a temperature-controlled, tamper-proof kit to minimize motility decrease. Research shows a motility decrease of 0.39% per hour; we use a conservative estimate of 1% per hour. Our protocol ensures testing within 33 hours, though our buffer is validated for up to 72 hours. Results include motility upon lab arrival and an adjusted estimate of motility within one hour of collection. Severely low motility typically indicates an actual issue rather than transportation time; we recommend follow-up testing or consultation for thorough evaluation.

Importance of Consultations: If you receive a report showing reduced sperm parameters and lifestyle changes have not helped, or if you’ve been unable to conceive after 6-12 months of unprotected sex, we recommend consulting a specialist. Consider reaching out to a clinical embryologist with expertise in male infertility, a fertility endocrinologist, or a urologist specializing in male fertility. Please contact your service provider directly for further assistance.

Retesting Recommendations: The WHO and clinical guidelines recommend retesting to establish a baseline, as sperm quality can vary. This practice is standard in medicine. The timing for retesting depends on various factors, including the reason for testing and any lifestyle changes made. For those making lifestyle changes, it's important to note that sperm take about 60-90 days to produce, so we recommend retesting after 2-3 months to see potential improvements. Since this service is provided by a partner, we do not control the price, timing, or manner of result sharing, consultations, or customer contact after the analysis.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Got the test and had worrying results which i obviously wanted to discuss as soon as possible. They then DIDN'T attend the meeting!!! They say they will charge individuals £25 for missing the consultation but are obviously massive hypocrites and do not respect your time. Avoid at all costs. I've flushed a couple hundred quid down the drain with these charlatans.

Quick results and great consultation

My IVF clinic suggested Mojo for my partner during our treatment, and we're happy with it. Even though there was a small delay in delivery, probably because it was the weekend, the service was still quick. We got our test results in just two days. Georgia was amazing during the consultation, offering excellent advice.

Do not buy! Go to a proper clinic!

We ordered a test kit for my partner as we were wanting to look at his fertility. Not only were we absolutely devastated at the results we were panicked and worried beyond measure . The same week we got the results back , we booked into an actual fertility clinic where the results were completely worlds apart . Way better and detailed - turns out the fertility is perfect and we have nothing to be concerned about. If we stuck to what MOJO said we would be spending money on fertility treatment and God knows what else , absolutely horrendous we are horrified . Please spend your money on a proper test at a clinic and avoid the stress and anxiety that this will cause you.

the test results are not accurate

I bought two semen analysis tests in total costing £150 for each test. The first test results said my sperm motility was 8% and my second test said 27%. Anything over 40% was acceptable so this came as quite a shock. I’ve just had a private semen analysis test done local to myself and my results came back 87%. Big difference. These tests aren’t accurate so my advise to anyone wanting to have a test done would be not to waste your money on these tests and to go somewhere local to yourself so the sample is examined straight away instead of 24-48 hours later.

Very worrying difference in results…

Very worrying difference in results from 2 tests:
I did a test last December 2023, then again February 2024. Whilst some of the figures are very different, I cannot know why, however:
Dec 2023, my sperm volume was supposedly: 1.2
Now, Feb 2024 they are showing 4.9

I have a high volume of sperm and both times, I produced a pretty similar quantity for the test, certainly now 4 times as much volume difference

They ask you to add a liquid, which I did both times, I wonder if the figures are incorrect as they have not taken the liquid into account one of these times, but it's concerning and makes me wonder how accurate the other values they provide are

The better way to manage your sperm health!

My husband has used this kit and found it really reliable and way more comfortable than going to a sperm clinic which he has done multiple times before. He liked how convenient it was as well, and the follow up results came in within 48 hours and a 1-2-1 consultation two weeks later with an expert in the field of embryology which was really helpful and insightful for us! My husband will be reusing the kit every few months to check on his sperm health during our fertility journey!

Alternative to NHS

We've been trying to conceive for more than a year now and my GP said I should test my sperm. I'd have needed to wait until Jan 24 for my analysis and decidedto go private. Even though there was a waiting time with Mojo as well, it was significantly shorter than with the NHA. Got my collection kit within 2 days and had my results approx. 10 days later.

FALSE ADVERTISING!

"Schedule a return date at your convenience" NOT TRUE
You can only book between 8-10am on a Monday or a Wednesday as they use Royal Mail. It must be dropped off at a delivery centre too, not a normal post office. Ypu have tonwait 2-3 weeks to get your slot. You can book them to collect from your house but only the day before your scheduled drop off.
"We'll give you clear, easy to understand results" - NOT TRUE
I've had the results emailed to me but it's all numbers and certainly not easy to understand. You can schedule a clinician to go through the results but that will cost you another £29!
I also don't trust the review score they mention on the website. Who's ever heard of reviews.io?
Wish I'd gone with the other options that are out there.

Really Good Service

The service is really smart and efficient.
I only deducted a star as It would be good to be able to download the results as a document (If it exists, I couldn't find the feature)
Notification of when it was received at the lab would be nice.
The checking of eligibility for a discount requires you to raise a service ticket which took over 24 hours to respond, by which point i'd already bought it

I've been curious about my fertility…

I've been curious about my fertility for a while after my wife and I started talking about having kids. When I heard about Mojo from a friend it seemed like a good solution (lab-tested, reliable delivery, good communication) and I wasn't particularly keen on going to a lab for testing. The choice to buy a Mojo kit was straight-forward. Had some minor issues for which I contacted their customer service and they were fast to reply and super helpful. Can definitely recommend.

I ordered the Mojo kit

I ordered the Mojo kit, though I felt uncomfortable doing so. I cycle over 100 km every week and enjoy saunas on the weekend—two activities that, apparently, can reduce sperm quality. Still, I want to have a family one day. So, I ordered my Mojo kit to arrive within a few days and scheduled the pickup for the same week.

Mojo was everything it claims to be!

Mojo was everything it claims to be. After having a couple of surgeries down there, I was told I could have a problem with my sperm count and I should get it tested. Tests were 300+ euros at the doctor’s office. Luckily I found out about Mojo just in time, and for a fraction of the price I was able to give my sample from the comfort of my own home. I then used these results to get a free follow-up test at a specialist, and in the end I found out that my swimmers are as abundant and as healthy as one could hope for. Thanks Mojo!

I know my Mojo!

When I first heard about the Mojo semen test I got super curious. No one had ever asked me about my semen health before, and I have just assumed that everything was fine. But now I got the chance to find out for sure, and the service was great! The pick-up went smooth, and I got the result in a couple of hours and had a knowledgeful talk with an expert.
