Folio is a read-later service that turns the articles, newsletters, and documents you save during the week into one typeset digest, delivered to your Kindle, reMarkable, or inbox. It's built for people who save more than they read — the open tabs, the newsletters piling up, the long reads you keep meaning to get to. Instead of another endless feed, Folio gathers everything in one place and packages it into a clean, distraction-free issue once a week, formatted properly for e-readers rather than dumped as a broken PDF. You add things three ways: clip web pages with the Chrome extension, forward newsletters to your personal Folio email address, or upload markdown and text files. Folio extracts the content, typesets it, and syncs it to your device so it's waiting when you sit down to read. Think of it as a weekly magazine you edit yourself, made only from the things you actually wanted to read. No algorithm deciding what you see, no app to babysit — just your reading, gathered up and made pleasant to get through.

As a journalist bombarded with lots of…

As a journalist bombarded with lots of links every day on social media, I was getting a bit overwhelmed and I am trying not to do 500 things at once and have dedicated reading time.

I think this is a pretty neat idea since sending one by one articles to a reMarkable was a bit tedious and created way too many files (to then reorganize etc).

The workflow is very effective : add little by little articles I want to read later, and when I actually have some quiet time, I can put my phone (and its distractions aside), generate an edition and take the time to quality-read the articles.

Also worth noting that it works on Google Chrome to save articles which are behind a paywall, similar to the reMarkable plug-in (if you paid legally for the subscription ;) ) which is always a bit annoying when it comes to read-later apps when the article stops at "Subscribe to read more" (when you actually pay for this subscription).

Hoping it will soon come to more "quiet devices" like Supernote from Ratta which is my favorite e-writing device :)

This is like an answered prayer

This is like an answered prayer - an easy to use app that gets all my newsletters out of my inbox and onto a device (in my case a Remarkable Paper Pure, but works with Kindle and other Remarkable tablets) tailor made for reading. It’s a delight. Full marks.
