The microchip registration link is on our home page on our website along the top menu section as well as throughout the page via links to register. All new keepers are required to register via the same method, whether you have rehomed from a rescue, breeder or other.

Unhappy with cost which is three times…
Unhappy with cost which is three times higher then other databases. Sadly I had no choice as my puppy was chipped when I got him. It cost me £30 for a basic change of ownership compared to pet log who were £10.
The breeder was very apologetic as this had not been explained to her and she thought she was doing the right thing getting them chipped before they left her.
In response to the reply- pet log who my cats are microchipped by provide the same service for £10 (basic)- of course microchipping is the right thing but a cost of £30 to register the chip is excessive. The breeder paid for the chip to be put in.

Our fee covers the keeper for the lifetime of their pet, including future updates. This is a very fair charge considering.
The breeder most certainly did do the right thing by having their pups microchipped.

Difficult to contact them
I have tried to phone this company a few times and left messages for someone to phone me back as I wanted to make sure that my new puppies microchip has been registered to me and everything is correct.
Not getting a response is rather worrying as if this is the response I am getting what hope would someone have if my puppy did actually get lost and someone tried to phone them. I have now emailed so hopefully I will hear from them soon!

Here at My Animal Trace we believe the microchip is the most important part of a pets journey and £30 spread over the lifetime of a pet is a small price to pay to ensure your beloved pet can be retuned to you if lost and found. We will not charge you for future updates to your contact information.
We do send email confirmation of registration to the email entered when registering.

As mentioned on our website at the top of every page, and in your confirmation email, our registration service is online based. You will receive a confirmation order email you may wish to print for your records.
Once your pet has been registered, your details are instantly and securely stored on our database. Any future changes to your contact details can be made via email quoting your original order number & microchip number.

How can you charge £30 just for…
How can you charge £30 just for changing an address, and name, you type 3 lines of address and press a button, why do you have to rip people off, if you had charged £10 I would have said ok, wages have to be paid, but at your rate your charging your customers £1,800 per hour.

Hello,
When you spread the fee over the lifetime of the pet, with an average of fifteen years, technically you are paying £2 a year to ensure you pet has a voice. Updates are not charged, if we are required to verify your pet at any time during your pets life, a member of the team will be on hand to do so. A microchip is the most important part of a pets journey, without a registered chip, a pet has no voice to tell anyone where it lives should they wander and become lost.
We feel your calculations aren't quite correct, we actually kind of wish they were correct because those numbers seem appealing :)
Registrations are also automatic so once you register, nobody here is required to type any lines of address. We do have a tech team that manually checks every registration to ensure we can see no discrepancies, and have no duplicate registrations.
Keeping pets safe is our main aim.

Your microchip registration does not need renewing it will last the lifetime of your pet!
If you have activated or were looking to activate a MAT-TAG. Activation to your free tag is available for £1 a month or less, paid upfront over 1, 3, 5, or 10 years.
