The sales people were very helpful without being over exuberant .

Great service from Mike, but let down by the cleaning department

I had a good experience from start to finish with Mike. He could tell I didn’t want to be bothered while looking around, so he gave me the space I needed and left me to it. When I needed help, I knew where to find him. I pointed out something I wanted putting right, and it was sorted without any fuss.

Mike also called me the following day to arrange a test drive. Throughout the whole experience, he was professional, approachable and, most importantly, there was absolutely no pressure to buy. It made the whole process much more comfortable.

The only real criticism I have is the standard of cleaning and preparation before the car goes onto the sales floor. Unfortunately, it was well below what I would expect and is something the dealership really needs to look at.

The only reason I haven’t marked my overall experience down more is because of Mike’s excellent customer service and professional manner.

Mike: 10/10 – Professional, helpful and no pressure.

Cleaning department: 3/10 – A standard that needs serious improvement.

Overall, a big thank you to Mike for making the buying experience a positive one. The preparation of the vehicles just needs to match the standard of customer service he provides.

I went down to Newport Motorpoint only just to look but not buy from there, just get a idea which make and model to look at, having already been to 2 other car dealerships which nobody came to us to check if we wanted anymore information I headed down to Motorpoint only to look and see what I could find, we looked at a few but was a little disappointed with what I had in mind,
When checking a few cars out it was Joel giving out the keys to the vehicles. We were chatting about a few things, when we spotted a yellow Peugeot 208 it really stood out, having checked it out only to discover it was a diesel which unfortunately wouldn’t suit me, having again chattering with Joel who was extremely helpful, told me that was one in another branch he could shipped down to Newport but he told me it was a different yellow, having gone to his desk I said what other colours have you got, there he found my car a blue Peugeot 208. Even that day I took it for a test drive it was a car that I wasn’t looking at, there was no pressure from Joel at all, the following day I messaged him I was interested in the car, I was in work until 6 but Joel told me previously that he to finish at 6, after a email from Joel to say that he would wait for me, when turning up he was there, again no pressure from him I sat back in the car checking it out again, chatting with Joel about a few things and guiding it through with me, I am very fussy, I made the purchase that evening, again no pressure from Joel. I felt at ease, he guided me through everything I needed to know, from booking in my collection time, adding my car tax, going through the part exchange process, to the financial planning, Joel’s customer service was second to none he is a asset to Newport Motorpoint, I would highly recommend Joel. Also with the after care he said if I need anything to drop him a e mail. Highly recommended Joel,

I would have been more pleased if motorpoint look after there returning customers with some sort of loyalty scheme when purchasing another car we have had four cars now and returning the last one to you which we only had for 6 months decreased by £5500 then to see it back up for sale for £4000 more than what we got back in part ex wasn’t great to see,also the new car has a fault on it from the time we drove it home and now I have to wait a month before it can even be looked at yes the prices there are good when buying but in future I will have to consider looking around more thanks
