An absolute disgrace of a company.
An absolute disgrace of a company.
Someone went into the back of me last Thursday morning, the 3rd party agreed it was his fault and would contact his insurance company (Hastings).
11am on the same morning Motor Accident line called advising they were acting on behalf of the client. Obviously I went along with what they said "the 3rd party had accepted responsibility, they would arrange for my car to be fixed without costs, they would arrange for a courtesy car".
To save you the conversations I had with enterprise & the accident repair company fast forward 24 hours to when Hastings called me asking almost identical questions Motor Accidentline had asked the previous day. I stopped the lady on the phone and advised her that I'd already been through this with someone the previous day and everything was in hand.
To my horror Hastings then advised that Motor Accidentline were not acting on behalf of the client or Hastings and proceeded to tell me where Motor Accidentline got my details (a central database where all accidents are logged).
In the year 2025 how on earth does a company like Motor Accidentline get away with such unethical behaviour.
Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs, it's a legal scam that should be shut down aimed to hoodwink innocent motorist into thinking they are helping when in fact you'll likely end up paying a fee or claiming from your own insurance, failed to mention this to me didn't they!
