I found this to be a great journalism course. The materials were thorough and interesting, and the feedback from the tutors very helpful. It’s an intense course that should provide the knowledge required to become a journalist, freelance or otherwise. Half way through the course I pitched a story to a national magazine and it was accepted for publication. I don’t think I would have had the confidence or skills to achieve that without this course.

The content was interesting! The assessment items were enjoyable to undertake! And it was fantastic to complete a qualification in the field of Journalism, something I’ve wanted to do all my adolescent/adult life!

I enjoyed this course tremendously. It was well-paced and I always received customised and well manageable feedback from my tutor. Any problems were addressed immediately and I felt supported throughout the entire course. I have learnt a lot and taking this course has increased my confidence in freelance writing. I can highly recommend it.

The course was complete and not full of unnecessary coverage. Each Unit had 'hands-on' exercises which encourages students to participate. It keeps you interested from start to finish. The idea of a 'personal' tutor is excellent. That way, you are dealing with the same tutor right to the end of the course AND you are welcome to contact them 'anytime', not just for Unit appraisal. It is also a bonus to know that you can contact the Academy 'after' your course is completed for any information you may need. I thoroughly recommend the Morris Academy for anyone thinking about a life in journalism.

I enjoyed undertaking this course. I found it very informative and it provided relevant instruction. Since doing the course I have used what I have learnt on a daily basis both in my day job and in my side hustle as a freelance journalist.

This course exceeded my expectations. The content was so much more than I anticipated and the interaction/feedback from my tutor; constructive and easy to understand.

The modules were written in plain English so delivering the assignments were achievable and helped my confidence in writing.
I would definitely sign up for future courses with the Academy should they introduce additional course content that I was keen to study.

Studying the Diploma in Freelance Journalism with Morris Journalism Academy was both enjoyable and informative. The flexible, self paced nature of the course enabled me to study at my own pace and take time to really understand and appreciate what I was learning. The information and instruction given was clear, easy to follow and interesting and the feedback given after each assessment was particularly useful. The overall course was very clearly structured and followed a logical progression, giving a clear sense of achievement at different stages. For anyone wanting to study freelance journalism, I would highly recommend this course.

I completed a Diploma in Freelance Journalism with Morris Journalism Academy a number of years ago - and have worked as a journalist/editor and content provider ever since. The course set me up with all of the skills I needed to take my writing hobby and turn it into a career.

I studied through the Morris Journalism Academy, a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the course.
The course's simple format made it easy to follow and any queries I had, were dealt with in a timely and courteous manner.
Once qualified, it didn't take long before I was earning money in the writing field.
Even today, I'm proud to be able to call myself a journalist and still love to research and write, within the different categories of what I've learned through doing this course.
