We're really happy with how this vintage turned out. The nose has a nice dollop of red fruit, with some deep mocha and briary complexity. A nicely balanced palate with a mix of primary, lush fruit and a lovely mature edge that comes from bottle ageing. There are hints of fine oak on the palate, but the fruit is not swamped. The barrels add extra dimension of texture, giving it a lavish, super-premium feel.

It is a bit silly to ask the sender of a gift to rate the gift quality! I guess the wine didn’t kill him, otherwise I would’ve found out The service to deliver it was excellent, and it was received before the birthday.
Perfect for an Anniversary gift

My very great mate loved the wine pressie and will keep it as instructed for his 71st Birthday!
Unfortunately the bottle arrived broken, so a waste of money. Unfortunately he disposed of the broken bottle so I have no proof to show.
