We are a licensed Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF), so your car is scrapped properly: we issue the DVLA Certificate of Destruction, notify the DVLA for you and process the vehicle at our own yard rather than passing it on to someone else. Getting a quote takes about a minute. If you accept, our own drivers collect free of charge within around 25 miles of Mexborough, covering Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield, Barnsley, Wakefield, Chesterfield and Worksop. We pay by bank transfer once the car has been checked in at the yard: the same day for collections made before 3pm, otherwise the next working day. We buy cars in any condition, including MOT failures, non-runners, accident-damaged and written-off vehicles, and cars with no V5C. We also collect vans and light commercials. Alongside scrap cars, Motorspot dismantles vehicles for used parts and supplies car kits to the trade. We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm. Good communication, the driver ran out of driving hours on first collection which they quickly clarified and booked for another collection, the car was collected no issues and the money was in my account the next day, very easy and great price given compared to other scrappers
Very reliable, fast collection and highest price paid.
I previously had arranged for a different company to collect my car but when I paid for my new car, the garage recommended checking a website to see if I could get a better price.
I did and had a call to say that they could collect the car the next day, plus the price offered was more than the other one.
After it was collected, there was an issue with the payment (name on account) so after several attempts, eventually the payment went through and now my old car has been scrapped.
I was nervous because at one point, my phone call wouldn't go through, not sure if it was a temporary issue, but when they rang me and assured me we would be paid that afternoon, I checked and we had :)
I highly recommend them as they collected my car and used the VIN number on my car to scrap it.
