Seamless Experience

I am from Australia and was suprised by the low prices for european appliances.
Over here we pay quite high markups from the good guys / bing lee / etcs

I purchased a SMEG cooktop and had a great experience. Customer support were quick to respond, prices were good, and Fedex delivery worked fine. My item was shipped from italy in just under two weeks, impressive as it was Christmas season at the time.

Note you may have to look into shipping and duties payable. Shipping was quite pricy (over AU$200) but given how much cheaper the item was, the item was still a bargain. For duties- in Australia if you purchase something under AU$1000 they are quite minor.

If you find something you love but are concerned about using the site, I would say give it a try; I had a great experience and got my item fast and for under half the price I would have payed locally.

Actually Very Good (UK Shipment).

I had to order some very hard to get accessories for our Smeg range cooker which had been discontinued in the U.K. These were very hard to track down and only a few retailers in Europe stocked them, most of whom would not ship to the U.K. I was initially put off by some of the negative reviews I had read about this business so tried another supplier which ultimately let me down. I decided to give MK2Shop a go and paid using a credit card to provide some protection if things went wrong. Much to my surprise and delight I had a faultless experience. The pricing was very competitive and the process straightforward. I was kept informed by email as to progress and provided shipping details when my package was dispatched. It did take a little longer than estimated and took exactly 21 days from order to delivery by FedEx, but being December it is understandable. The items were as described, brand new and well packed. As for U.K. VAT and other fees it was clear I was responsible for these so have no issues about paying as and when the invoice turns up. At the end of the day I can’t get these in the UK so have to pay tax if I want them. Absolutely no complaints and I would use them again.

Absolutely Fine!

I just wanted to leave this here for anyone who's worried about using this company...I ordered an item and received a confirmation email...about a week passed, I started to get a bit worried, that was then I read all the terrible 1-star reviews here. My heart sank! €160 down the drain...however, the following week I received an email with an apology for the delay, the item was delivered shortly after. Most of the bad reviews here appear to be from the UK...import duty in the UK is a result of Brexit and those taxes are 100% the responsibility of the purchaser. I would recommend this website.

They did not even have the item I bought. I waited for 3 weeks to dispatch the item but they were asking me to wait more!
They finally refunded the money

SELLER MISS-SELLING – BEWARE ‘HIDDEN’ DUTY TAXES APPLY TO U.K!

I was unfairly surprised by an alarming FedEx invoice £43.84 (hidden duty taxes) that arrived 4 days after their product was delivered. The seller’s website advertisements “NO HIDDEN COSTS” primes & misleads customers!.

I was not provided with clear transparent information regarding the above-mentioned HIDDEN taxes on their product pages, neither was it transparent during their transaction process, NOT mentioned on my receipt or in subsequent emails. My online billing summary incl a “CEE fee £8.92”, “Grand Total Incl Tax £177.62”. This meant that I was misled to believe that I had fully paid ALL costs including shipping duty tax to U.K.

MK2Shop customer services claim that their website provides full disclosure of extra charges incurred with shipments outside EU on every page of their website!. I STRONGLY dispute this, the ADDITIONAL CHARGES are NOT TRANSPARENTLY DESCRIBED on their product pages, transaction checkout, NOT stated on the receipt or in subsequent emails.

All of the above is in breach of online selling Consumer Rights Directive (CRD).

I HAVE COME ON TO WARN PEOPLE, this company took months to send my item about 6 week delay from date they originally stated, kept sending different reasons for the delay. I had chosen this seller due to the good price however a month later receiving and fitting I got a £150 fed ex customs bill, it is by no means made clear on their site that you will get this and they are fully aware of this but just rely on getting your order and money and by them time you get the extra bill YOU HAVE ALREADY STARTED USING THE ITEM AND ITS TOO LATE AND TO MUCH HASSLE TO RETURN!
On coming on here I see others have been affected by same issue. I have left a review on their site but am waiting to see if they publish it, which I very much doubt.
had I gone with the uk supplier I would of got the items quicker and for less but not realising about the customs charge I believed I was getting a deal, do not be fooled.

There is a tiny small print saying uk…

There is a tiny small print saying uk customers are liable for a import tax, almost £200 which you have to pay to Fed Ex....honestly, its cheaper and less stressful to buy from a UK based retailer. I feel MK2 are knowingly misleading people and stinging them with a large bill weeks after delivery. AVOID!!!!
