Not For Prop Firm Trading!
I subscribed to this service for 3 months and the experience was mediocre at best. While the 1:1 risk/reward ratio works for Shawn, I don't know if I can if he's really been trading this strategy for 10yrs. I call his strategy "The Falling Knife Strategy". You end up with a lot of bloody hands because price action most of the time blows through the SL. Shawn's strategy for scaling in is also shaky. He does not use any confirmation candles and it seems random. Yes, it's simplified but I don't think it's sustainable.
Now, I know a lot of people will fall under this category. Using Shawn's strategy on a prop firm challenge. Well, at $250/month, prepare to go broke before you can pass the challenge. I had a 100k challenge and at the end of the 3 months I was not even 50% profit level risking between 0.5%-1%. And this is the other thing, his risk varies for each trade. So I don't understand how you can risk 100K in one trade, hit SL, then on the next 2 trades you risk 50k. With a 1:1 risk/reward you're basically spinning your wheels.
In my opinion, I think he relies on the small scale in trades working in his favor, that's the only way he makes money. At times he will also close trades before they hit the SL. If you have your own capital it might be worth a try if you're making more than the $250/month. But for prop firm trading, forget it, you will go broke before you pass 2 challenges to get funded. I spent a total of $750 in 3 months and my challenge was nowhere near passing!
