Microdesigns is an absolute Shambles

Microdesigns is an absolute shambles! In summary, I placed an order on 30th November 2025 and received it on 9th April 2026.

I placed and paid for an order (Bramall Lane) for a friend's 40th birthday present on 30th November 2025. The dispatch date stated was 15th December, which was fine as their birthday was early January.

Microdesigns failed to dispatch the order on 15th December or send any correspondence advising that there was a delay with the order. Having not heard anything from Microdesigns, or received the order I emailed them on 30th December 2025, for an update. Microdesigns emailed back advising that there had been an unforeseen delay and that the order would be shipped from January 5th.

Having received no communication to the country, I emailed Microdesigns on 6th January to confirm that the order had been shipped the previous day, as, at this point, there would still have been time to receive, wrap and get the present to my friend. Microdesigns emailed back and advised that they were now waiting for a shipping date from their shipping partner. I was advised they would follow up as soon as they had a shipping date. No further correspondence was received.

I emailed Microdesigns again on 17th January, advising them of my disappointment that they had failed to dispatch the item and that I had now missed the opportunity to give the item as a gift for my friend's 40th birthday. I asked Microdesigns to provide a history of what had led to this most unsatisfactory situation. Microdesigns emailed back to advise that the shipping had been pushed back again, as there was a delay getting the item to their UK warehouse. I was advised that the order would be shipped from 1st February.

Another month passed without receiving the order or, any further communication from Microdesigns, so I emailed again on 17th February and requested a phone call. Microdesigns emailed back and now advised that the order would ship between March 5th and April 5th. Microdesigns advised that they did not have a phone and would not phone me on any of their own phones to discuss this most unsatisfactory situation. I emailed them and recommended purchasing a phone so that they could telephone their supplier and find out what was going on. Microdesigns did not respond.

On 18th February, I received another email advising that the order would be shipped on 21st March. I did not receive the order or a shipping update from Microdesigns, so I emailed again on 26th March. I was advised that I could expect to receive my order on 31st March.

I eventually received the item on 9th April 2026, 130 days after placing the order.

I asked Microdesigns to provide a refund to go some way towards the embarrassment of not having a 40th birthday present for my friend and the time I have had to spend dealing with their failings; however, they refused.

Missing piece

Ordered Lords Cricket Ground
But one piece missing. Was told missing piece would be sent weeks ago. Now they are saying they can't fulfil the piece and either I can have a refund or a new set. Asked for new set as my son wanted a complete one and since then radio silence.

Rubbish

Rubbish, ordered mid December for immediate dispatch, nothing came so contacted them and was told it would be sent in January. January the same, told February and now it’s saying will post between March & April. Waste of time company.

Steer clear

Ordered a West Coast Eagles mini design for our grandson for Christmas in December. Guaranteed that delivery would be in time. Never arrived was then told in early January that there had been a delay and they would be sent out in the next week. Great thought I thinking it would arrive for grandsons birthday. Nope. Was then told on the 19th January order was prepared and waiting for pickup for shipment.
Then on the 2nd February was told they are currently finalising orders and expect to have them shipped within a week. I’m not hopeful and extremely disappointed Do not purchase from this company. If I do receive the item I will update my review

Just stay away

Just stay away. Thought I'd give a small business a chance. After initial ship date passed I reached out and was told "a further week and it will be sent" look not great but okay. Another week no update. Any contact had been when I reached out. I placed my order in November where it would have been tight to make it to Christmas but it's now January 28th and I've finally asked for my money back as I'm still getting ambiguous "we're waiting for final updates from partners" nearly weekly. Really disappointing

Ordered a set in November for Christmas delivery, which never arrived. I’ve sent multi emails and no response. Please stay away complete spam 😢

Never arrived - delivery issues

Ordered the Lords Cricket Ground as a Christmas gift on the 4th December 2025. Never arrived and never had any update from the company until I chased, where I was advised there was a delay. End of January and still no update and asked for a full refund. Really disappointed as this was a gift. Poor customer service with regards to estimating delivery has really let them down.

Avoid this company!

Purchased the lords cricket stadium nearly 2 months ago. Responses to delays were misleading, including your item is being loaded! Requested a full refund yet to be received. A real shame, what looks like a great item is a complete let down

Please stay away from this product

Please stay away from this product! There are no detailed instructions (similar to an authentic LEGO set) not enough for a 13 year old to comprehend. They do not give refunds due to it complexity and failure to state so on their product.

They do not stand behind their warranty

We purchased these excellent products when we remodeled our bathroom over ten years ago. They are high quality and have provided great service. However, they came with a lifetime warranty which the company no longer honors.

I would have recommended them without question until today, when they refused to honor this warranty.
