Keeps freezing and throwing me out mid game. Very very very frustrating and exceedingly poor. One star is too good for them.

I am a college teacher teaching linguistics and other language-related subjects, and I have been a subscriber of Merriam-Webster Unabridged for many years, perhaps for more than ten years or so. Then the other day, I was blocked by their website because they adopted a defective free service called Cloudflare Turnstile, which is supposed to block bots only but actually humans as well. When I reported it to them and explained its problem to them, they terminated my subscription without my consent, and then a month later they even deleted my account, i.e. registration, completely without any explanation. They have not answered my inquiry since then. I must consider them inconsiderate and evil. Stay away from them at all cost.

Their dictionaries are bad dictionaries in any case. I used to use them once in a while, but I have never used in my classes any of the definitions they provide because nearly all the definitions are inappropriate.

I discovered the reason why. Their dictionaries are actually compiled by incompetent college graduates who are not specialized in linguistics in the first place except maybe one or...just one. Furthermore, none of them hold a doctorate. Checking their dictionaries is like asking a college student about the meaning of a word. It is totally meaningless and absurd if you have graduated from a prestigious college or hold a master's or doctor's degree.

I was able to find different descriptive words used for the same topic. This helped me with my research.

Contains the word "shipping". Expands on it further with an even more slangy acronym. This should be enough to prove that the dictionary has gone insane and is no longer an educational facts-based resource.
