Absolutely love the discounts, however…

Absolutely love the discounts. Saves us a lot of money. However the website doesn’t work well on the phone apparently. Every time I go to the next screen, it malfunctions and I have to submit all the info such as billing information, all over again.

Misleading total cost of hotel room

I am not happy with the fact that on the page it gives a total that says includes fees but then after you book a room suddenly there is an additional charge for taxes. To me this is very misleading. It makes you think that taxes and fees are included but then surprise you with taxes after you already pay. At no point did it show the actual total until I had paid. Super misleading on the price.

Members deals won't refund my hotel…

Members Deals has refused to issue a refund for my hotel booking, even though I have written confirmation from the hotel approving a full refund. I’ve spent several weeks working with their customer service, and each time I meet their requirements, they respond by asking for more documentation.

They have now come back again stating they will not issue the refund. This has been extremely frustrating and feels more like unnecessary delays than a genuine effort to resolve the issue.

Based on this experience, I will not be using this service again and would caution others before booking through them.

Long Wait to Receive Vouchers

Check out process was easy, but there has been an ongoing multiple hour delay in waiting to receive my ticket vouchers

The process was not always clear

The process was not always clear. I called the (844) 814-1416 number and the Customer Service representative was difficult to understand and he had to refer to other materials during our conversation. This made the situation confusing.

Hidden fees (taxes) after payment

Be careful if you're paying from anywhere outside the USA. There were hidden fees (taxes which were not listed) that appeared only after I submitted the purchase using a Canadian credit card. In a previous purchase, I used an American credit card, and the purchase did not have the hidden taxes. It would have been cheaper to buy tickets through Ticketmaster had I known.

Stay away from this company!

Stay away from this company!! They advertise a price with ALL fees included then they add an astronomical ’tax’ when they charge your card. They told us the charge would be $2520.00 with ALL fees included, then charged $2990.12. I immediately noticed when I received the email confirmation just a few minutes after booking but of course you had to cancel by hours before I even booked the reservation to not be charged the full charge. It made no sense and they are very tricky so buyer beware!
Search them and you will be able to see the number of people that were tricked by their false advertisements. Every review site and the BBB speaks for itself. If you have to add your tax then why not have that in the price that says ALL fees included. Theres a reason they don’t want to list it in the price. Vet tix should be aware of who they have advertised on their site.

Pro: Exceptional Deals in regards to trip bookings.

Con & Needs Big Improvements: Calling agents to make changes or cancellation. I called the Member Deals Hotline to make some changes. I have to wait 2 Hours on a WEEKDAY & still no answer from the Members Deal Agents to help me make the changes. I am now trying to contact the Member Deals Agents via the email they provided. Please have your agents respond to us customers in a timely manner.

I dropped the score to a 2/5 because of this situation of when I called Members Deal to help me make some changes to my booked trips, no agents pick up the phone & I am willing to sit with my phone on speaker to listen for the entire day until any agents pick up. I could drop my score to 1/5, but decided to give 2/5 because Member Deals do have exceptional trip deals.

Therefore, please fix the issue of having your agents QUICKLY respond to us customers especially when we customers are trying to call your Customer Support Department for things like changing our trip or cancellations.

I booked on the wrong date & called to…

I booked on the wrong date & called to change the dates! I don’t know if there was a glitch or what when making the reservations. They refused my request!!! That there was NO WAY to make changes! GOVX PRIDES THEMSELVES ON THE BEST customer service! But they’re not willing to help correct a mistake. NOTE TO SELF….BEWARE IN MAKING RESERVATIONS THROUGH THIS!!!

When a booking is marked as non‑refundable, our ability to make changes is unfortunately limited. In these cases, all we can do is reach out to the hotel or supplier on the guest’s behalf to request a date change or refund approval. While we always advocate for our guests, the final decision rests with the hotel or supplier, and in this instance, they declined the request.
We recognize that mistakes can happen during the booking process, and we genuinely regret that an exception could not be made despite our efforts. Providing strong customer service is very important to us, and while we are not always able to override supplier policies, we do take this feedback seriously.

Hidden taxes

Being a teacher is a tough and thankless job. I work at least 60 hours a week, don't usually get dinner till after 8 pm, bed around 11 pm, and back at it at 5:30 am. I'm tired, overworked, and stressed. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but it is just exhausting. So when I found out I could get "member deals" with my NEA membership, I was super excited. The deals were better than anywhere else I researched. I was happy knowing I could treat my family to a great vacation on a limited income. I saw the fees on the checkout page and thought it was taxes and fees, imagine my shock when I got all our information in and went to the "final" checkout page. The taxes were insane! It was like paying for another ticket! It bothered me that I couldn't see that charge until the very end. ALL of the fees AND taxes should be shown upfront. After all of that, I maybe saved $20 from what I could buy the tickets on Citypass for, in fact, at one point Citypass tickets were cheaper than your so called discount. I am very disappointed with the whole thing. Don't say you are giving teachers a great discount, when in reality it is not that great. It would be nice if just once a company actually gave overworked, underpaid teachers a real discount. I had a very similar experience with my cell phone carrier, and now I'm actually paying more on the "teacher discount" plan than if I would have been on a "regular" plan. It is quite sad that teachers are so underappreciated. I thought I had actually found a real teacher discount this time. Wrong again.
