I disabled adult in California and I called to speak to somebody get some advice and the first woman I spoke to was lovely I forget her name she’s a southern accent she was an actual angel she connected me to speak to an agent named Chip....
I don’t want to make an unfair generalization
But ship had some serious *Kyle* vibes an attitude;Like a mall cop grandiosity
Chippy walking into the figurative food court like do you know who I think I am I like literally nobody even like looking up I mean this person clearly had an attitude and like I’m not exactly sure why especially considering this is a job where it is a Medicare help line which one would assume a lot of elderly and disabled people call genuinely needing help and that’s why this is so upsetting...
It was completely unproductive he had no information for me and sometimes that happens with customer support lines you know but there’s a way you handle it you don’t literally just start repeating the 1800 number for Medicare
(was informed of the call was being recorded for quality purposes, so since it was recorded I would definitely encourage anyone from the company or anyone who oversees chips maybe just go back and review our encounter,And draw your own conclusion as to whether or not that was something that you feel is the type of representative that you want for your company)
And I think most relevantly I don’t know if anybody cares but I felt really terrible after hanging up the phone for whatever it’s worth to you guys for whatever feedback it’s worth chip made me feel worthless that encounter left me in tears and it took so much for me and it takes so much for a lot of disabled individuals to call and advocate for themselves and ask for help and for someone to treat you like that I mean it was just that he didn’t have the information I mean it was next level and even if you don’t think it was at least understand that this is how he left me feeling and if that’s not relevant to you that I’m not even sure why you have a service that provides a Medicare help line for disabled and elderly
Maybe more lines of the possibility of owning a Chick-fil-A or something
Maybe owning your own khaki cargo pants drop shipping business
Yeah bottom line that whole situation was extremely unfortunate made me sad. And it made me feel sad for Chip too tbh,Because usually when somebody is narcissistic and grandiose and treat others that way especially in the context of this job they’ve got to be going through some gnarly miserable inner demons Yeah even though he did make me feel sad and worthless and made me cry I do feel I want to send him good energy on his journey to healing and being more centered so he doesn’t have to feel the need to treat people like they are inferior and worthless
