They own me $300 and the owner Philippe Seguin keep blocking me, not answering my msgs. This is a Scam! I want my money!
Replacement part lead time was more than 2 months. Tech support never got back to me on the inquiries I have.
If the worst company in the world would shut down, MBTek would be next in line. It all started in April when I place an order. 2 weeks later it still hadn’t been shipped so I decided to cancel the order. That’s when the trouble started. They didn’t really want to refund my money. They offered in store credit, discounts and I’m not sure what else all. All I wanted was my money and move on. It took about 50 phones calls and countless unanswered emails. Then finally when they decided to refund my money they said they would do it in 3 instalments 1 week apart. Do you think that happened, surprise, another lie. Finally after about 1.5 months I received all the money I was owed and that was at the end of July. So in short if you ever feel like wasting your time, place an order with MBTEK
WARNING: Think carefully before working for this company.
My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. I worked for them for two weeks and was never paid for the work I completed.
The CEO, Phillipe Seguin, promised me throughout the week that payment was coming. Instead of honoring those promises, he blocked me on WhatsApp when it was time to pay.
Albert, the Sales Manager, has repeatedly ignored my calls and refused to take responsibility or help resolve the situation. Annas, the "tech guy" who told me he would assist me, ended the conversation by hanging up the phone instead.
Based on my experience, I felt completely misled and disrespected. I invested my time and effort in good faith, only to be left unpaid and ignored. If you're considering working for this company, I strongly recommend proceeding with extreme caution and ensuring you have a signed agreement and reliable payment arrangements before doing any work.
Buyer Beware – My Experience with MBTek Apollo Fan Coil Units
I’m posting this to share my firsthand experience with MBTek Apollo fan coil units so that others can make an informed purchasing decision.
I purchased four MBTek Apollo chilled-water fan coil units for my home.
Unfortunately, I experienced multiple problems:
* Two of the four original units developed water leaks.
* MBTek replaced the two leaking units under warranty.
* Both replacement units then had thermostat control issues. The installation documentation indicated a standard 24V thermostat connection, but I measured approximately 24V DC at the thermostat terminals instead of the 24V AC required by standard HVAC thermostats such as Ecobee.
* A third original unit later experienced a fan failure.
To eliminate installation errors, I verified the wiring multiple times, tested different thermostats, and measured the control voltages with a multimeter.
During troubleshooting, MBTek asked me to remove the control boards from the original leaking units and install them into the replacement units to determine whether the problem followed the control boards. I was not comfortable dismantling warranty replacement units to diagnose what I believed was a manufacturing issue.
After months of troubleshooting, the thermostat compatibility issue remained unresolved.
Based on my experience, I did not find MBTek’s technical support to be helpful in resolving the problems. Eventually, I requested a full refund for all four fan coil units. As of the time of writing this post, I have not received a response to my refund request.
After experiencing:
* Two leaking units,
* Two replacement units with thermostat compatibility issues,
* A fan failure on a third unit, and
* An unresolved warranty claim,
I no longer have confidence in the product and cannot recommend it.
If you’re considering these fan coil units, I recommend thoroughly testing every function immediately after installation and confirming compatibility with your thermostat before committing to the system.
This post reflects my personal experience with four MBTek Apollo fan coil units. Others may have had different experiences. If you’ve used these units, I’d be interested in hearing about your experience.

This company is on the verge of bankruptcy, use caution when dealing with them, they will promise the products and then after you purchase they will delay delivery for months, if they deliver at all. Employees are not getting paid and they are not honoring pending orders, search MBtek on Redit to confirm
I installed a 5 ton air to water heat pump in my pole barn to heat hydronic tube that I had buried inside the concrete. Overally the experience was very do-able for what I would call an experienced do it yourselfer. The first recommendation I would have is to use AI to help make a heat loss calculation. I did so and it was quite impressive that it took my geographical location, the number of windows, doors and garage doors as well as insulation into account. It's amazing how accurate the estimate was in terms of helping me size my unit and it was free, which was a bonus. Heating in floor hydronic heat is the best usage for an air to water heat pump because the large surface area allows very low operating temperatures which increases COP. Because I'm interested in this kind of thing I put a droplet ultrasonic water flow sensor on my delivery pipes and using the ingoing/outgoing water temperatures and wattage consumed from an energy montior I have been able to periodically calculate my COP which runs around 3.5 when the outdoor temps are around freezing. My 5 ton unit pretty heavy and I mounted it on a rack I fabricated on the side of the building about 18 inches off the ground. I do plan to put AC in my building, I purchased 2 air handler units pretty cheaply from a surplus place on eBay. Just be aware if you do that you have to insulate the interior pipes so they do not have condensation. The wiring of the unit is a little difficult to understand at first - it wasn't clear to me initially if the circulator pump was meant to be powered directly from the terminals on the circuit board on the heat pump but I just did it a little differently so I didn't bother worrying about that, I have the thermostat "on" signal trigger a relay that also turns on the circulator pump. Jesus can help guide you on wiring if you want to do it differently. I do like how you can control the thermostat and monitor the unit from the app you download when you install the unit. I would highly recommend the air to water heat pump approach to heating a workshop building - it's very efficient and there's no open flame and you get the benefit of air conditioning if you need it. It's also unbelievably quiet.
