It's important to clarify that Max Cash® does not evaluate potential lender’s applications—this is a process carried out by lenders within our partner network.

We acknowledge that the situation you've described is frustrating. The initial pre-approval process is meant to begin the conversation with lenders, not to guarantee funding, as final approval depends on the discretion of the lender.

The lender’s requirement for bank statements and additional information is a regulatory measure, ensuring that loans are responsibly allocated based on the borrower's ability to repay. Regarding employment, it's true that some lenders do not require traditional employment and may be able to accept proof of non-traditional sources of income, but they will still need to verify that loan repayment is feasible for the consumer through proper documentation.

We regret any inconvenience this has caused you and want to assure you that the requirements are in place to protect consumers. Although we are not a lender, we strive to work closely with the lenders in our network to make the process as smooth as possible for consumers.

It's important to note that the assessment of the vehicle's value and the decision on the loan amount are conducted by the lender. Lenders use various factors to determine the value of the vehicle and the amount they are willing to lend, including the borrower's repayment ability. While some lenders may not require the consumer to have traditional employment and accept forms of alternative income, they do need to verify that the consumer has a reliable source of income to ensure their ability to reasonably handle the repayment process.
