I have huge admiration, respect, and gratitude for the Maurice and Blackburn team in Darwin NT. I found myself in a very challenging and uncomfortable situation in relation to a workplace issue. I reached out to M&B for guidance. I have been treated with absolute compassion, dignity, and respect throughout the process. In particular, Margot Holliman, who has been an incredible support. Margot has always had the time to take my calls, respond to emails, and keep me updated on my case. She shows incredible knowledge and understanding of the, more than often confusing legal aspects of my situation. I have had a lot of experience dealing with lawyers throughout my long career. I worked for years for Liquidators and Commercial finance. Dealt with hundreds and this firm is the worst I have ever encountered. They can talk the talk with the best but are rotten at walking the walk. Sacked them half way through and dealt with a good firm. Like a breath of fresh air. I cannot warn anyone about them enough. Do NOT believe their BS. Better call Saul. Even he would be better

I had a simple question relating to a Will and I needed interpretation with 2 clauses in the Will. I’m also an executor of the will which is lodged with Maurice Blackburn. There was not one lawyer or solicitor in the whole organisation who could help me. There were some friendly staff who initially listened to my concerns but I was shuffled from one department to another, until finally I was told that they can’t help with that sort of question. You would think the wills and probate, as well as the contesting a Will department of Maurice Blackburn would have at least one lawyer who had expertise in Will interpretation but they don’t have anyone who can help you if your’e uncertain what the clauses in a will mean. How can they possibly facilitate fair outcomes for anyone if they don’t have the ability or knowledge to answer basic questions?Anyway now I have received a reply to one of the clauses through legal aid which clarifies the whole will, Thankyou legal aid. I didn’t want to contest the Will, I just needed clarification on a couple of clauses in the Will, that’s all. And what about the lawyer who actually scripted the Will, surely he would have known what it meant.

Poor representation of the very start. Added expeditionary to my trauma and stress from my accident. Ended up in a very bad position where I took matters into my own hands and Sacked them after 12 months. Took another 12 months to get back on track. Had to go to the governing body to get a fee schedule which I was entitled too and the governing body agreed and they received a slap on the wrist. With that as I already knew I was severely overcharged. Unnecessary emails and drawn out phone calls. After settlement they continued to charge uplift fee, they had nothing to do with the case being won yet continues with the VULTURE mentality. Do not consider this firm at all to represent you go elsewhere. Be warned you will be treated as a dollar symbol.

Even though it turned out Maurice Blackburn Law firm couldn’t help me i feel they deserve the highest rating possible. My problem was dealt with with great empathy and understanding. My situation and options were explained clearly in a language I could understand right throughout the process. Every time I called I felt heard and understood which helped me through an extremely difficult time in my life. I can’t recommend and commend them enough.

I had a claim with MB which dragged on for 2.5 yrs.In this time i had only 2 ph conversations with 2 different lawyers & they changed lawyers 4 times.I finally sacked them & went with a more professional firm who got me 5 times what MB quoted.Mb still billed me for doing basically no work & when asked for itemised invoice wouldn't supply one.I will be contacting the legal practise board about this.All i can say is don't waste your money & go elsewhere.In answer to what they replied,they never tried to "reach out" lol they are liars.Number Zero lawyers & i use that word loosely.

What a wonderful experience I had from the team at Maurice Blackburn Toowoomba. Although I live in Brisbane, dealing remotely with Kaylee and Tanisha has been a absolute pleasure. They kept me up to date, always answered any questions I had and were very open and honest. The entire TPD claim process took just six months which I was very surprised at. I feel that I was badly let down by MauriceBlackburn. Lack of communication.
Was told that my husband who is in stage 4 Heart Failure due to lack of proper medication was “hind Sight”. Has been given 6 months to live.
Will be putting my story to the the world soon.

I took out a personal loan with Cash converters. Two months after paying off the loan. I was sent an email by Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, advising me I had a refund of $180 due to me.
Apparently, cash converters had overcharged on interest rates. I submitted my bank details and three days later they deposited the money into my account.

Although, this happened a few years ago, I was pleasantly surprised they pursued that for me as I was none the wiser.

I have never forgotten the gesture and am happy to return the favour with a top review.

Maurice Blackburn Lawyer's you rock!!!

An appointment is scheduled to speak to a WorkCover lawyer. I have had to provide name, employer, role etc. Strangely enough the WorkCover lawyer is actually the perpetrators son-in-law who helped her keep her job. I know he knows his mother in law's employer and her role but has taken the time to want to help me. I think he thought I wouldn't recognise his name and now after complaining about ethics of employees the Sunshine office in Victoria are happy to move me to another lawyer. Seen to believe there is no conflict of interest and would not had known whom he would be representing, I do not believe them.. Luckily I did recognise him otherwise my privacy would have been compromised. Had to now abandon them. Would have been sent on a wild goose chase if I hadn't been the wiser . This is not fair nor professional. Be careful. Dodgy. Not even an apology letter sent.
After cancellation on that day and told them I did not wish representation from them, I get a call from the individual Lawyer the following day . I do not pick up the call but True caller app identifies him by name and yes it is the same lawyer I complained about the conflict of Interest from the Sunshine Office in Victoria.

Secondly I had tried to also provide review with emails and evidence on Productreview.com but has been rejected. All reviews about this firm is monitored by them and they will only post and accept positive reviews about them. Very unreliable to place an honest review and having Maurice & Blackburn posting those negative reviews. They do not wish too..... PS Anyone wishing to be represented by Maurice & Blackburn for Work Cover etc or a claim against the major hospital or Health Service (Western Health) in the west of Melbourne. Do not see them as you might get the lawyer that I know is a conflict of interest.. was for me. Could be for you. Please be careful.

I fell through a ceiling on 10th May 19 sustaining a shoulder injury. I
had specialist letters from the Insurers Specialist and their Professor stating that I required an operation due
to falling through the ceiling. 5 Months later no liability was accepted and I received no payments from
anyone. I kept telling my lawyer at Perth office this is not acceptable I was even told by Workers Comp that a
Form 100 should have been lodged after 3 weeks. I lodged the Form myself and had to cancel because they
were not ready. I have proof via email of this. my lawyer said that she had read my file and seen the specialist
report and she was going to lodge the Form 100, which she did. The lawyers did not respond at all. So I
called up and asked her what was going on. She told me that she had sent 2 letters asking them to accept
liability. All this time I have been in pain because no one would accept liability. With the Form 100 I could
have applied for another 3 months money. Finally conciliation was scheduled for 17th Sept 19. I had no
contact with her except for the 1st initial phone conversation to get representation from them. I spoke to her
Paralegal asking for lawyer to call me before the Conciliation. She told me that she was going to put an offer
in for approx $135,000 off the top of her head, but she also said I can tell you I have looked at your file and
can tell you now that they are not going to accept liability. She gave us no indication that she had been in
conversations with them. We asked her why they would not and she could not tell us. She said that she
would get an email together and send it to us. We then receive an email a couple of days later for a top offer
of $85,000 knowing that they would offer in the middle. We sent her an email saying that I disapprove of
the offer and wanted to go to conciliation. She then said that it was too late she had already put the offer in
we had no idea that she was communicating with them. She rung up on the Friday 3 days before
Conciliation and told me they were putting in a offer for $60.000 I told her that she was on speaker phone and my wife was listening I told d her I was not happy with this she then became aggressive and and rude. She then threatened to withdraw from representing us if we didn't do as we were told She did not want to go to conciliation I was made to go backwards and forwards until we settled on $73.500 with their cuts My wife was so nervous and anxious at the time as I had got no wages at the time and had tears in my rotator cuff and my surgeon wanted to operate I was also made to resign from my job with stipulations in place is this the way to treat people with PTSD Shame on you I did make a complaint but under my condition and the passing of my sister and stepfather I withdrew I can't believe that a lawyer working for me and used by the Australian workers Union Who at the time I was a member of can do this And not even tell me why my claim wasn't accepted I don't care if the Lpcc don't find you negligent im expecting that There will be other places to go Just because you sit there in a suit means nothing to me The truth will always come out And while a tell the truth I have nothing to fear Where there's a will there's a way They took my bottom comment away I did make a complaint to the Lpcc But bare this in mind people I had a 13 mil tear in my rotator cuff which should have been done straight away Very painful as some may know I lost my sister 2 weeks before the lawyer bullied me My step father was in a coma And my sister was struggling to get my Mum into a home with dementra all back in the UK that's why I told Lpcc I withdrew get it right guys These people in suits have got no morals just money I spent 10 years working for the Emergency Response Unit I put my self in danger to save people's life's And they think they were Fair ain't that something they fight for
