The technical aspects were a bit challenging, and I would appreciate a video explanation. Nevertheless, I am pleased to have successfully completed the online course refresher. My company has approved it, the payment process was straightforward, and the course became accessible upon passport verification.

Quick and easy, but the questions with pictures didn’t show any pictures, so I just guessed. A few small errors in the English grammar, which could be polished. Turns out the authority in South Africa does not approve Liberian authority certificates, so I’ll have to redo it despite being accepted by the MCA, but that’s not your fault.

Regarding the acceptance of Liberian certificates in South Africa, you are absolutely correct. South Africa’s maritime authority (SAMSA) only accepts certificates from administrations with which it has a formal recognition agreement under STCW Regulation I/10. Liberia is not included in that list, which means Liberian STCW certificates are internationally valid, including acceptance by authorities such as the MCA (UK), but not accepted for work on South African‑flagged vessels or within South African territorial waters. We appreciate you noting that this is a local regulatory restriction and not related to the quality or validity of the training provided.
