Great piece of kit

Perfect analogue univibe sound for my experiments in a practical form factor that looks great. Easy to dial in the sounds that I want and works great with an expression pedal. Amazing value for the price.

I am happy with the sound of the Sennheiser 480 pros. They sound like an open back headphone. Build quality is good and they are reasonably comfortable. I was amazed at the amount of detail that came from these headphones. The sound is clean and accurate with good separation of instruments. I bought these as my wife doesn't want to hear the music and these headphones cannot be heard by others in the room when I am wearing them. Bass is very good indeed for a closed back headphone as is the midrange and upper frequencies. They do not impart any unwanted sibilance or other distortion in the treble region. The sound is nice and open with good soundstaging. Pretty pleased with the Sennheiser 480 Pros and considering these are closed back, would think they have no peers at this price point.

Maia was wonderful serving me and providing advice and just having a fun chat with her about everything guitar and music. Even got an invite to see her band. Went and saw her gig. Thanks for the price matching too- saved on money and a trip going elsewhere!

After checking out the alternatives for a long time, I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a Dbr10. You can get cheaper 10” monitors, but you can also pay an awful lot more too, and this has the features I need. I already had some Dbr12s, so it’s also nice to stick with Yamaha quality. I shopped around and found the best price, but it was in Melbourne and I’m in Sydney - free delivery, but I prefer to buy anything more substantial locally if I can. Enter Manny’s price match! I filled in the form on Manny’s site, and they got back to me very quickly agreeing to match the price. That same afternoon I was back at home with my new purchase! It will be my vocal monitor when we play live, but meanwhile will be a monitor for my e-drums when I don’t want to use headphones - and it sounds great! I’m very happy with it - it’s light and compact, and seems well made as you’d expect from Yamaha. And when I registered it they gave me a 7 year warranty - I’m confident this little guy is going to last! Thanks again Manny’s! If you hadn’t matched the price I may have procrastinated yet again, but I’m so glad I finally made this purchase!
