I recently had solar panels and and air source heat pump installed, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team was fantastic, professional, friendly, and highly efficient.

Communication throughout the project was excellent. They kept me informed at every stage and were always available to answer any questions I had, which really put my mind at ease.

Even with the scheme coming to an end, they went above and beyond to ensure my installation was completed on time without compromising on quality.

Everything was carried out smoothly and to a very high standard.
Great work by the entire team,I would highly recommend them to anyone considering similar installations!

I had a very concerning experience with a company called Making Energy Greener and feel it’s important to warn others.

I am a landlord, and after work was carried out at my property (heaters and solar panels), the situation became extremely stressful. The owner contacted me and made threats about coming to my property to remove the installations and damage the property. Due to the seriousness of these threats, the police had to be involved.

I was also asked to do things that I was not comfortable with and believed were not appropriate, including sending screenshots and providing information that did not seem right. When I refused, the communication became aggressive.

There were also aggressive messages sent to me and pressure placed on my tenant, who has children. This was very upsetting and unacceptable. I have kept evidence of what happened, including text messages and recorded calls.

Because of the seriousness of this situation, I am now escalating the matter to the relevant funders and authorities.

If you are considering using this company, I strongly recommend that you do your research carefully and proceed with caution.

Since installing what was supposedly a money saving heating system and removing the old system my electricity bills have soared from £140 a month to £1,000 a month. MEG have been called out twice but no correction has been done. Solar panels do not work as they have been fitted on wrong side of roof, heating is very spasmodic and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Compensation and an expert analysis is being sought as this system has obviously caused much stress and concern

Got the grant approved after survey and had work booked in for cavity wall insulation and extractor fans. No one turned up to do any of the work, no phone calls or emails. I tried to call and email but no reply’s. Do not use!

Everything went well , good to deal with and they sorted everything out to have solar and heating upgrades. The workmanship was very good.

All staff I encountered at Making Energy Greener have been excellent. Too many to name all of them individually, but Aaron, the plumber, was exceptional. All workmen were professional, hardworking, considerate, polite and informative. I was reassured throughout the whole work schedule of extractor fans, central heating installation, removal of old cavity wall insulation and replacement of new, as everything was explained to me. I feel humbled to have been fortunate enough to have this work carried out by this company and thank each and everyone of you I dealt with along the way. Definitely would recommend MEG.

I cannot speak highly enough of this company. We had solar panels and an air source heat pump fitted. Everybody we spoke to at the company was professional in their manner and work ethics. They listened to our questions and explained all processes so we felt confident, in having a new form of heating. Dealing with this company has been a pleasure, we were pleased with the quality of work each person carried out on our home.

From the head office organisers Scott ,Max,Paul and everyone I spoke to , they answered all my questions and and stuck to their original timescale of when the Installation Team would come to start the job along ant queries I had along the way.
The Installation Team,TJay,Ken and and Levi were equally as as good ,
Very professional and considerate to our Living space to cause as less disruption to us as possible.
They explained what they were going to do everyday, so we know exactly what to expect,along with sticking to timescales,

However after speaking to the company director he has assured me that the administration team I was dealing with is no longer with the company I would like to thank him for contacting me and also add that initially when I read most of the reviews the work that making energy greener undertook was highly praised for it’s quality and professionalism.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star their communication is terrible no one in the office seems to know what the other person is doing they kept asking for the same information that we had already sent again and again. Why Scottish Power entrust them to there customers I have no idea. Take a tip from me to insulate an average house costs about £250 to £300 do it yourself and save yourself the hassle of dealing with these cowboys. They’ll send in consultants then charge the government and the tax payer for thousands of pounds then tell you they can’t do the work anyway.

Not a good finish.

Had extractor fans, loft insulation and window tricle vents fitted and wish I had gone for a professional and paid for it. Or done it myself and got building control to sign it off. Extractors fans were screwed into the wall with no wall plugs so they came straight out of the wall. The fans in both extractors fans fell out after a day as they had not clipped them in correctly. External vent must have had the cheapest silicone around it, as a bit of cold weather and it separated from the wall so water was coming inside the house, as they drilled the wall hole downwards from external to internal. It should be the otherway round so water with gravity cannot enter the house where the extractor fan is. This was in our newly renovated kitchen. They also knocked some pointing out of the brickwork and left it.

Furthermore, we had new windows fitted ourselves and how they have screwed the tricle vents in, the screws are pushing through the upvc internally. BRILLIANT JOB 🤥 . They also cut half the external window seals from the bottom (that's fine) but half also from the top. So when we had bad weather alot of rain water would get into the internal window frame. I know there are drain holes but this was a lot!

Also the loft insulation they disturbed one of the light fittings so we had no lights in one room for a few days.

There were other issues and they fixed two things but the rest i have fixed myself, as I didnt trust them to come back and know it will be a better finish and done correctly by myself.

I know this is government funded but it feels like they are in it for the money but offering a bad service and finish to save as mych as possible. None of these issues should happen!

Wall plugs and better silicone don't cost much.

Making Energy Greener have been today to replace my old boiler and they have been excellent. They arrived early to start the job and cracked on to relocate the new boiler and install the new. They cleaned up after the job and left me feeling happy. Initially there were some minor issues but these were soon resolved when Danny became involved. Brilliant. Special mention to Scott and the installer Aaron. Thank you

I couldn’t fault this company from start to finish, adapting, supporting and delivering excellence and quality from the directors, contracts Manager, support staff and the lads that came to install the Vents, ASHP, solar Panels and loft installation, outstanding and a most enjoyable experience.

Can say nothing but good about this company and every body who works for them. Down to the last detail.
Every member of staff has been extremely courteous and caring. Their work has been very good and tidy.
It has been a pleasure to have every one of them in our house. Or talk to them by phone.

After installation, there were a few hiccups with the system. It was dealt with easily and promptly. Customer service is excellent

Overall the process was easy and straightforward. Initial application was straight forward, and the team that did the works were courteous, polite and tidied up after themselves. We did have a small complaint about some of the works that had been done which was of no fault of the team, more of a logistical issue, however this was resolved quickly and efficiently and we are overall really happy with the end result. Thanks to the team!

I had a full green energy upgrade of my home heating system installed by Making Energy Greener through the Warm Wales / Powys Cynnes / ECO4 program, and the experience has been transformative. The team fitted solar panels, a solar battery, air source heat pump, attic and wall insulation, ventilation throughout re windows and fans, and new heating/hot water system. Throughout the installation, their communication was clear and supportive, and the work was completed in a very short time, just about a week, once the initial surveys were completed.

I was impressed by the professionalism of the installers, who worked efficiently while being respectful of my home. Even though I was initially hesitant because of my age and the challenges I face living with diabetes, ADHD and autism, the process was much smoother and less stressful than I thought it might be.

The results: my home is warmer, my electricity bills have dropped dramatically, and I now generate and store most of the power I need. It feels amazing to know I’m also reducing my carbon footprint.

I’m grateful to Making Energy Greener for the way they shared their knowledge, their quality of work and their friendly, patient and understanding approach. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a renewable energy upgrade.

Honestly Making Energy Greener is a fantastic company! We was all worried as a family making big changes to our home, firstly the surveyor who visiting was calming, detailed and thorough on the first visit, secondly the office staff were in sync with every step perfectly and finally we had new heating installed, aswell as loft and internal wall insulation, the end result couldn’t have gone any better, the whole thing was smooth no hassle and now we have lowered energy bills and upgraded our family home for FREE, Thanks for everything, Anthony.

I was originally recommended to contact Making Energy Greener by a neighbour who recently had an air source heat pump, solar panels, and internal wall insulation installed at their home. At first, I was a bit apprehensive about the amount of work involved and wasn’t very familiar with the ECO4 scheme. However, once I reached out to MEG, I immediately felt reassured. Everyone I dealt with was polite, knowledgeable, and guided me through the entire process with patience and clarity.

After a few technical inspections by their experienced team, I received a detailed proposal for the work, which impressed me with the level of information and care provided. Once I agreed to the plan, the engineers arrived promptly, were respectful throughout, and did an outstanding job. They cleaned up thoroughly and left my home feeling like new.

Any concerns I had at the start completely disappeared. The quality of the work was exceptional, and now I’m fully prepared for winter. I couldn’t recommend Making Energy Greener more highly, if you want a reliable, efficient, and informative company, look no further.
