Beware American Express branded Macy’s
credit card. Received three fraud alerts via email and text. Called several times to have card cancelled, and new card issued.
Customer reps not pleasant, not helpful. Kept transferring call, requiring verification multiple times, and unable to cancel card.

Macy's Credit Card Rate should stop you in your tracks

I have been a Macy's credit card holder for more than a decade. My credit limit is $1600. I mention this because I have NOT made purchases at Macy's for a long time because Macy's credit card has increased it interest rate to a whopping 35%.

Mind you, several other retailers have also increased their interest rates to ridiculous percentages. My advice: buyer beware. Macy's "bargains" are no bargains at all if you're paying with a Macy's credit card.

We were in macys in Boca florida to buy pot and pans and ended spending over 3 thousands dollars with the help of Stephanie in homes.She was so easy to work with and had a lot of patience with us.We spent 5 hours with her and was so happy with everything…we still have to go back and get more and trust me we will be working with Stephanie…..give that girl a raise…..dmottola ty

Eliminate UPS

They're using UPS as their carrier and my packages are getting returned to sender for some reason. I have had the same issue with the same item twice in three weeks. The first order was actually tracked to the city that I live in. For some reason the item was returned. The second time around UPS received my item to be shipped and then the order was returned to Macy's again. Seems Macy's should not use UPS as their carrier.

3 levels of ABSOLUTE garbage! Visited Nothridge CA site. To be correct, I only visited the women clothes and underwear departments. Buyers of these departments should be arrested by fashion police and health organizations! Mountains of garbage clothing or underwear made out of polyester, nylon, Lycra, lace or combination. Awful colors! You cannot pay ME to wear ANY of those things, much less to pay $50-300. What is wrong with the executives of this company? Did you ever visited your own sites or your website for that matter? You should start a bone fire with all of them and start all over. Don’t worry I’ll , it will burn right away! Constructive criticism: you are partner with a lot of big brands, try to allow them to advice you about fashion, quality and fabric quality and not vice versa.

Slow to ship.

The items (sheets) that I bought online are being shipped from within my own state. I ordered on a Monday and was given a delivery of Wednesday. It's Tuesday and the sheets haven't even shipped yet. USPS says my delivery is now Friday. There's no excuse for this. If I receive the sheets on time, I will amend my review; otherwise, it stays.

Cheap third party vendors

Cheap clothing from third party asian vendors. Sneaky under handed move. Shut Macy’s down.

Macy’s has made the worst deceptive mistake ever. They have partnered with third party vendors. If you like temu, shein, aliexpress, and cheap asian chains. Then you are in luck. Customers never had to look closely to whether we were ordering from any vendor’s except for high class vendors. Not the case anymore. I ordered two dresses and only one was delivered. No one knows where the second dress is. It is so deceptive how Macy’s made this low class decision. The dress was delivered was so poorly designed that a six year old could have done better. Poor meterial. Poor quality. Cheaply made. Go to Dillard or Saks, anywhere but Macy’s

Deceptive Sale Pricing

I was interested in making an online purchase for 2 items that were on sale. The sale was advertised as ending on 8/17 (today). I had placed the items in my cart on 8/15 but was unable to complete the purchase. When I returned to my cart yesterday, 8/16, the sale price of the items INCREASED, despite the sale was still advertised as ending today (8/17.) On 8/15, one item was on sale for $41.99, but increased to $49.99 overnight. The second item was $49.99, and that increased to $59.99 overnight. I reached out on Twitter/X and received a response almost immediately. I was asked to provide more information, which I did, but didn't hear a peep back. As a very long time customer, I'm incredibly disappointed with Macy's for false advertising the sale pricing and end date. I'm also disappointed with the lack of support I received when I reached out for assistance. This isn't the first time I've been let down by Macy's customer service and, as much as I enjoy shopping at Macy's, this makes me think twice about continued shopping here.

I was at the exchange counter at Macy's Glendale trying to exchange a men's Polo jacket for a larger size one. Seda, the salesperson, did a terrific job of helping me with the transaction. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant. A very good experience for me.

Poor Telephone Customer Service

The dress I ordered on 6/30/25 was not delivered. I ordered a replacement on 7/15. I noticed there was no information online, so on 7/19, I called Customer Service for a status. I was told that the dress was out of stock, and I had been issued a credit via a gift card by mail. I couldn't understand why, if the dress was out of stock, I was not told that. The rep I spoke to on 7/19 was able to reorder it, stating that the dress was back in stock now. The phone reps are incompetent and speak broken English which is hard to understand. The dress finally arrived on 7/23. This comes on the heels of me ordering towels and washcloths and having to call repeatedly to get the missing items replaced. I needed towels, and they kept sending washcloths.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Customer service couldn't be more unhelpful and it is simply a nightmare trying to checkout. First of all, when I scratched off the silver part of a gift card, there were no numbers underneath it. So strike one, already wasting my time trying to figure out how to use this terribly made gift card with a very apparent and common manufacturing error THAT THEY DO NOT CARE ENOUGH ABOUT TO FIX. Hey Macy's! We all know you're edging bankruptcy so I would suggest not screwing over the few customers you have left. Secondly, after trying to call customer service (failed) and scouring the internet (no help either) we went mobile and finally found the scan barcode option on the website, which seemed to be the only thing that worked during this whole situation. Okay, well that was mildly annoying but at least I can check out now! At least that's what I thought... Now, only owing 5 dollars I reach for my credit card to pay. Who's surprised ANOTHER problem arises, not me! My card fails to go through, I check the balance and I have more then enough to pay for FIVE DOLLARS and my limit has not been reached... I try at least FIVE other credit cards all from different people in my family and it all fails to go through. That's weird. Enough money on all, nothing paused, no limits exceeded, all correct information, called the bank they said no problem on their end... Hm. Okay maybe I'll try it tomorrow..? Possibly too much traffic on their website today. Tomorrow rolls around, all of the deals from their "Summer Black Friday Sale" are gone... annoying! At this point I don't care anymore, I just need to place an order to get my makeup in time for scheduled photos. STILL NOT WORKING. This is ridiculous. Sephora, I'm sorry for betraying you. I am not one to usually write a review, or even complain about a business in general... but this experience has been a nightmare! Never had such a bad time online shopping. And let me reiterate how bad their customer service is! In what world is it a good idea to have ROBOTS handle customer service? Unhelpful little computer generated responses that clock out when you're asking about anything except store hours. I don't know, maybe start hiring real people so actual problems can be solved? Like the gift card issue? Talking to a real person that works at Macy's would have been nice and would have put me in a better mood! Because SHOCKER- people like polite human interaction and connection when a problem arises! No one likes talking to incompetent ROBOTS.

I spend 700 AND Did not receive my order or my refund

BE AWARE my Order never received, and they never gave me my money back even though I called multiple of times notifying them being on the phone for hours… so frustrated they even promised they would call me back never did they lie
I wish I seen all these reviews. I would never ordered with them.
