Established in 2020 by Husband & Wife team, Amanda & Lee. Lux Nova was started after Covid & Lee being diagnosed with depression forced the closure of Amanda’s old business.
With pure determination they wanted to focus on self care and home fragrance, spending day and night learning about different products, fragrance oils, legal requirements, to creating our very first wax melts at home.
They have continued to grow and now have a range of room sprays, candles and most recently skin care products.
Lux Nova means “a new light” in Latin and was the perfect name to describe the time period in our life. One business closes, another one opens. The new light at the end of the tunnel.

Exceeded my expectations
I lucky enough to get a couple of samples and just paid postage which I was more than happy to do. I'm blown away, the scents lingered in the house for ages after. About to make a full purchase today.

Heavenly wax melts
They were giving away free wax melts so I put in an order. All you had to pay was postage and packaging which was £1.50. I received my order within the standard postal delivery time and I wasn’t disappointed. I was very happy with the two melts I received. One was white musk and amber and the other one was rosey wonderlands. The scent was amazing! I recommend this company and I will definitely be purchasing more wax melts.

Honest review!
I have been using this amazing small business Lux Nova for quite some time now, and can honestly say they deserve more then just a 5* from myself! The wax melt scents are strong and fills our whole house which is just divine!! My husband will always tell me to order more from here when we are running low and loves the scents just as much as me! I particularly love the new look of these wax melts where the cubes are now individual, making it nice and easy to just pop one in our wax melt burner without having to break them up! I can't rate lux nova highly enough! 10/10 from me!!

Nice presentation but the wax melts…
Nice presentation but the wax melts weren’t very strong and didn’t last more than a day my favourite out of them all was the orchid strongest wax melt and will buy this one again .

Thank you for your order and review, Irene. I’m so sorry to hear our wax melts didn’t live up to your expectations.
We absolutely pride ourselves on our long-lasting, strong wax melts. So this does make us sad.
We always use the maximum fragrance permitted in all of our scents and make sure we allow them to cure for plenty of time before packaging them up and shipping them out.
As you can see from our other reviews on here, they are all positive, so you can probably imagine our surprise this morning. We like to hope that if any of our customers have any issues with our products, they contact us and we can make sure we find a solution they are 100% happy with.
As we would like all of our customers to get the most out of their wax melts, here are some tips for you to try:
- Ensure your wax melt burner is away from any windows or draughty areas as this reduces the burn temperature and scent throw
- Ensure the burner used isn’t too large for the tealight as this also reduces scent throw
- Ensure burns are no longer than 4 hours at a time, this ensure the fragrance isn’t being burnt off too quickly
- To check if you’re nose blind to the scent, a quick sniff of coffee beans can bring back your sense of smell. Also try leaving the room and re entering as this may also help
- Ensure the room you wish to melt your wax in isn’t too large of a space (ie open plan living room/diner/kitchen)

Order the body scrub!
Honestly cannot recommend the Lux Nova body scrub highly enough. I have the Island Dreams scent and it smells beautiful. I have very sensitive skin and can’t believe how amazing this has made my skin feel. I’ve tried silly amounts of products over the years but I’ve definitely found my new favourite! Also, a little goes a long way. Thank you so much!
