Oh my goodness… I ordered the try before you buy color changing foundation. I was told it would be six dollars for shipping fees to try before I buy yet they charged me $75 after this I dis enrolled from their program even though I didn’t want to be enrolled in it in the first place and they tricked me now today after only receiving my try before you buy last week they took $130 off my card and $60 off my card all in one day. I canceled my subscription yet. They still are taking unauthorized money off my card. This never happened to me before with another company and it’s so unprofessional plus their foundation isn’t anything to even write home about I could’ve gotten Dior foundation for $40. So far one bottle of foundation has cost me almost $300 when it was only supposed to be try before you buy it. That is so crazy to me. Luminess sucks all the way around. I didn’t even call them yet. This just happened today but if they don’t refund my money, I’m gonna flip out. I will let y’all know how it is handled. Do not let them get your debit or credit card number unless you want to pay $300 for a trial sample of a OK foundation I could’ve gotten the same shit at CVS. They best give me my money freaking thieves.

I signed up for 10 day trial period and received the product only the day before the trial period ended.
In the meantime, this merchant attempted 2 future shipment charges of $175 and $135 and then tried to run through my debit card, causing a NSF charge $75, fraud alert and cancellation of my debit card!
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TRIALS!
They will clean you out before you receive the merchandise
The only way to cancel is to CALL during regular business hours and email cancellations are not accepted!
NOT user friendly at all!

I was FINALLY able to cancel, but only after the damage was done, they don’t care if you were overdrawn, etc.
Then PayPal denied the claim because I “ “authorized some previous charges”
I was told, “Keep the trial products free of charge”

This company is horrible. I ordered a product to test, having only to pay the shipping, to then pay the full amount if I decide to keep. I was informed that the amount that I would pay if I keep the product was double the amount of the product because of all the added fees. $9 for shipping insurance that I did not select. I never had the option to select anything. I tried to cancel and then they said it was too late. Once I threatened to report them, of course they were able to remove that outrageous shipping insurance charge. Total scam and I will not keep the product even if it is the best product I have ever tried. Just a way to get more money from a consumer without ever informing them. Such poor business tactics and will lose me as a customer and whoever I can inform to not use this company and their products due to their shading billing tactics.

I am very very impressed with luminess. Not only is their product lovely but their customer service is beyond great. I am very sensitive to ordering products online because I have had unhappy experiences with thinking. I was going to get one thing and getting another. And then trying to return well that was just a nightmare. Luminess understood my problem though. Most of it created in my own mine from past experiences, and took care of it right away. I can't speak highly enough about this company and the product. Thank you, luminous

I sent you a msg stating I did not receive what I ordered and "Sitejabber" did not reply. Only sent some questionnaire that only allowed a comment of "Yes" when the answer was "No"!!

Do not buy this product. They claim that you can try it for free but they charge you immediately for the full price. It is also an automatic subscription, which isn’t clearly stated anywhere. It takes weeks to arrive. I talked to someone in customer service and it was really hard to find confirmation emails and when I cancelled the subscription and requested an email with my cancellation in writing I never got it, even though the customer service representative told me that one would be sent. I am expecting to be charged again even though they told me they wouldn’t and it may cause me to have to change my debit card, which is a whole other hassle in itself. The second ( that I was charged for arrived today and something in the bag spilled all over all of the products.

I ordered the trial size of the liquid makeup and they also sent a small blush, the latter of which I liked. The liquid, however, did not cover the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. The confirmation email said that the total was $6.25 for the samples.
I was unsuccessful in EVER reaching an agent to see if I should get a different color, but no one ever called me and I forgot about them since I had paid only a small amount for the samples.
I am just realizing this as I write. Today I called and they wanted to tell me I did not call within 14 days to decline auto ship!
The rep, VELMA, told me I couldn't get a refund even though I told her I did NOT open the package of the larger bottles! I complained and when I told her I would call my credit card company, she put me on hold, returning 5 minutes later to say the $82.57 would be refunded. At this time, I checked my PAYPAL and found THREE charges from them-NOT the $6.25 for samples, but on the day I ordered the samples, a charge for $63.49 and $82.68. I am also calling my Chase card to get all funds returned to me.

I will also send this message to the Better Business Bureau which has many complaints about this company. My sister had the same problem, but unfortunately compromised and paid all but a $30 charge.
My credit card company will get the refund for me.

The liquid mirage provides average coverage for above average cost. They say Try before you buy, but don’t really provide a way to give feedback. It did automatically enroll me in a subscription which I didn’t appreciate since the initial product had not yet arrived. I got that canceled, but was charged full price for the Try before you Buy for almost $70.

I received numerous emails that the shipment was delayed and then a last email saying the shipment was not deliverable because it was damaged. I cancelled the order and was offered an additional discount but had to call after placing a new order to receive the discount.

I was just checking our their website and next thing I know. "Your order was submitted" I was thinking, maybe I'll give it a try since it's "try before you buy". Then I got my bank notification: I was charged $65.17. When I checked the order details it said it would be $6.42 for 3 products. The description of each one says as follows:

I tried reaching out to confirm if the full amount would be the $65.17 since it doesn't match what the order detailed.
I got a message that chat wasn't available because it was after hours but someone would reach to me but got nothing.
I tried all day to reach out during their "business hours". Their chat is not a real chat. It's just a message that you send and someone is supposed to reply back via email but they never did.
I sent them one last message asking them to just cancel the order. Still no reply.

Way too sketchy to even give it a try.

Would have loved to have tried the product as the video I saw seemed amazing but instead of being billed for shipping only as advertised in the try before you buy promo, I was billed for the entire order and this I found to be deceptive so I called the next day to cancel my order. Please be a representation of what you are advertising.

I used Apple Pay to pay for shipping for my free trial order. I was charged $65. I went online to see if I had somehow signed up for a subscription. And apparently I don’t have an account. It doesn’t recognize my email address. It also asked for my order number and ZIP Code which I didn’t get any information in the package. So, my concern now is that I’m just gonna be getting charged all the time for something I can’t cancel.

Customer service is NON existent. Try the chat and its actually just a inquiry through email. No options to return online. Call the number. It tells you its busy or redirects to a "high call" volume message. Once you sign up to try, you're done for. Worse customer service I've ever encountered.

Be careful everyone. I decided to take part in the "try before you buy" campaign they have. I filled out the order form and my total for shipping came to $6.36. That was $5.90 plus TAX ON SHIPPING??? of .46 cents. I am not sure what state they are in but California does not tax shipping. Anyway I get paid tomorrow so there was only $62.56 in my account. The payment declined. I thought it was a processing error so I just put it again. It was declined again. I went to my bank account and they were trying to charge $64.55. I then read the small print and this is what it says:
Return what you don't like within the trial period or extend trial if you need more time by calling 1-888-793-7474. With Try Before You Buy special offers, we may pre-authorize the card provided for validation & fraud protection.
So I guess that means you are paying for it like any other purchase, but if you don't like it you can return it like most other purchases. So why give me an invoice that says $6.36. That is what I call shady. If I had another $2.00 in my account they would have taken it all and I would not have had gas to get to work tomorrow.

They will steal your money!! That are a scam with their try before you buy bull crap. They stole 57$ from me after I returned a product that didn't work out for me. As soon as I ordered it I knew something was fishy because they put a 64$ hold on my debit card for a product that was advertised at $39.99 and I was only supposed to be charged the shipping fee for. I called them twice since the day of the return to inquire about my money never being returned/released (minus the shipping fee) and it has been 10 business days now and still nothing. Idk about you but 57$ is not just pocket change to me and I am going to keep pressing the issue until they return the money they STOLE from me. I wonder how many places on the internet I can post this review about this company so that hopefully nobody else gets their hard earned money stolen by them.

I tried this and it's great!! Not streaky and blends really nice. It's smooth in consistency . I love the color.

My luminess airbrush system sits on the shelf unused why because of makeup is too expensive who want to spend 40 bucks on a bottle of airbrush makeup it never goes on sale even though your site says it's on sale 60% oh really so you know what someday soon you'll be replaced with the next new things and then I can buy all this discounted leftover makeup you didn't sound good job

I had a $20 off offer and the foundation was on sale. My cost was to be $5.90. They charged my account $69. The size was much smaller than they have been in yhe past. Very shady marketing ploy. Update they charged my account $74.09 today for what was to be a $5.90 purchase. $74 for slightly over 1 oz of foundation, primer of the same size and a make up brush. I'll be ordering Laura Gellar from now on. They have a better product for a more reasonable price. At least I know what I'm am paying when I order from LG.

The product is fantastic; however, they are super shady and completely non-transparent about the amounts they are going to charge your credit card and when. I ordered product in October 2025 - not part of a promotion, just went to the website and ordered the spray coverup. They then charged me 01.16.26 saying that my order in October triggered a subscription. While I love their product I will never purchase from them again.

I made my first purchase worth Luminess last month as a gift for my adult daughter. She loves the color adjusting foundation. She says that it matches her skin beautifully, that it id a light coverage and lasts all day.
I had a problem with billing trying to bill me more than I agreed to. I went online, talked to one of their live chat persons and it was resolved right away.
Very reasonable and responsive company. I would recommend.
