Very disappointing experience
Avoid this agent if you want a straightforward, honest rental experience. We used Francesco to find a short-term rental in Verona, and almost every part of the process involved a promise that was later changed or simply not honoured.
RENT AND FEES: After we viewed the property and agreed to rent it, the price changed from the €1,000/month we'd been quoted to €1,200.
MOVE-IN: We were told the short-term rental would include linen and that condominio fees were covered. We arrived on day one to find the apartment uncleaned, with no sheets provided and filthy mattresses. We had to sleep on towels on dirty beds for our first night. Francesco brought sheets and arranged a cleaner the next day, but the apartment was so dirty that the cleaner couldn't finish the job in the three hours she had.
END OF LEASE AND DEPSOIT: We hardly received any of our deposit back. Francesco had told us that if there were any disagreement about cleanliness after move-out, he could arrange a cleaner for €5/hour. When the owners claimed (incorrectly, in our view — the apartment was left in far better condition than we received it) that it wasn't clean enough, that €5/hour cleaner became a €150 cleaning charge, and Francesco did not intervene. On top of this, the owners deducted over €400 for condominio fees and tassa rifiuti — costs our contract explicitly excluded. Francesco did not help resolve this, and it's hard to avoid the conclusion that the special conditions he wrote into the contract were never properly communicated to the owners in the first place.
OVERALL: promises made during negotiation were not the promises kept once we'd committed, the property was not in the state we were told it would be in, and when problems arose at the end of the tenancy, Francesco did not advocate for us despite his own earlier assurances. We would not use him again.

Evitate questo agente se cercate un’esperienza di affitto semplice e trasparente. Ci siamo affidati a Francesco per trovare un affitto a breve termine a Verona e, in quasi ogni fase del processo, ci siamo trovati di fronte a promesse che sono state successivamente cambiate o semplicemente non mantenute.
AFFITTO E SPESE: Dopo aver visitato l’appartamento e deciso di affittarlo, il prezzo è cambiato dai €1.000 al mese che ci erano stati comunicati inizialmente a €1.200.
INGRESSO NELL’APPARTAMENTO: Ci era stato detto che, trattandosi di un affitto a breve termine, la biancheria da letto sarebbe stata inclusa e che le spese condominiali erano comprese. Il primo giorno siamo arrivati trovando l’appartamento non pulito, senza lenzuola e con materassi sporchi. Abbiamo dovuto dormire la prima notte su degli asciugamani, sopra letti sporchi. Il giorno successivo Francesco ci ha portato le lenzuola e ha organizzato una pulizia, ma l’appartamento era talmente sporco che la donna delle pulizie non è riuscita a completare il lavoro nelle tre ore a sua disposizione.
FINE DEL CONTRATTO E DEPOSITO: Ci è stata restituita solo una piccola parte del deposito. Francesco ci aveva detto che, in caso di disaccordo sulla pulizia al termine dell’affitto, avrebbe potuto organizzare una persona delle pulizie al costo di €5 l’ora. Quando i proprietari hanno sostenuto, a nostro avviso erroneamente — l’appartamento è stato lasciato in condizioni nettamente migliori rispetto a quelle in cui lo avevamo trovato — che non fosse stato pulito adeguatamente, la persona delle pulizie da €5 l’ora è improvvisamente diventata una spesa di €150, e Francesco non è intervenuto. Inoltre, i proprietari hanno trattenuto più di €400 per spese condominiali e tassa rifiuti, nonostante il nostro contratto escludesse esplicitamente questi costi. Francesco non ci ha aiutato a risolvere la questione ed è difficile non concludere che le condizioni particolari che aveva inserito nel contratto non siano mai state comunicate correttamente ai proprietari.
NEL COMPLESSO: Le promesse fatte durante la trattativa non sono state quelle mantenute una volta che ci siamo impegnati a prendere l’appartamento, l’immobile non era nelle condizioni che ci erano state prospettate e, quando sono sorti problemi al termine del contratto, Francesco non ha tutelato i nostri interessi nonostante le sue precedenti rassicurazioni. Non ci rivolgeremmo nuovamente a lui.
