The service 3 and 29 from Mayfield Dalkeith is brilliant.
The drivers deserve a medal for their patience and skills. EG passengers get on and ask TRAIN times between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Waiting on the 100 bus at drum Brae south with 5 other people all waiting for the same one. We lined up, put our hand out, clearly signalled the bus driver and he drove past all of us, making me late for work and 5 other people late as well. What was that about? Really annoyed now I’m having to call my boss to explain so thanks

I left my phone on bus on the Tuesday. Realised as soon as returned home I got onto site pronto, as was their service. Email Thursday morning phone was located. Picked up today. Happy Days.

Have a new App set up to track buses. Today went out and checked app . Had 15 mins to wait so after 5 mins popped back into house. Just in house looked out the window and bus was passing. Yesterday was watching buses carefully before I went out. Went out when bus was due in 5 mins. Checked app again and now bus was showing in 20 mins. Bus I was intending to catch was now sitting at Balerno terminus 2 stops away a long way in the wind and rain.
PLEASE IMPROVE OR GET RID

Joke of a company bus is 45 mins late and still didn’t turn up even tho it was on the tracker walked all the way to the bus stop 2x waste of time bring back first bus

Shitty service, waiting for buses for ages, you never know when they arrive. This company is a joke to the capital city.

The new app is hopeless. Very tricky to work out times/locations. My nearest bus stop no longer listed. Never had any issues with previous app. Just walked to bus stop 10min walk arrived in plenty time - app said bus due at 12.02 then it disappeared from app and showed next bus due at 12.37. Started walking for another 10mins only to have bus pass me. This happens a lot - no idea if bus en route or has been pulled. Got to do better !!

Excellent lovely drivers. What i do not understand however is why the senior management of Lothian buses do not understand why anyone in Dunbar would want to be getting to and from Mussleburgh the largest town adjacent from Dunbar a place for those to work who live in Dunbar. They stop the 106 and then you can not even pick it up in Haddington as it has left right in front of your eyes. You have to go to haddington then x6 to tranent and then tranent to Mussleburgh and getting back is even worse. If I miss a 108 prentice then I get home at 20.00 when finish work at 5.20. Can't anyone with a brain look at these services why should it be so difficult and why even though you took over eve coaches can't I get a bus anywhere even near Newton Manor unless I want to drive all around brody road for hours.

Buses never stop for you (I have had over 50 drivers in the past 100 days not stop for me) , always late , never clean , expensive as prices keep going up. Avoid this incompetent transport.

Buses are late, apps are useless and most drivers don't provide you with even basic customer service.

I finished work today just after 2pm, and as usual went to get a 106 bus in Fort Kinnaird and it was 15 minutes late. Not only that, it also disappeard on the app and even on the bus stop's screen, and yet, it randomly showed up when I was about to find a taxi to get home. It happens almost every day, especially with east coast buses. However, what annoys me the most is some drivers' attitude. They never communicate why they were late or never tell you why they stop at stops of their own choosing and wait for ages for god knows what like it's all ok and normal. I find it to be rude and disrespectful, as people pay money to use this service and it's theitlr job to get people places on time.
If I locked the door to my reception and disappeared for 10 minutes without a word of explanation and kept doing it repeatedly, I would be dealing with complaints and consequently with a disciplinary procedure.
So happy to see that there are still jobs out there where you don't have to care about the people who keep your business/salary going.

To the bus driver on the 33 this morning 10/1/25 @ 06.00 who threw a tissue at my daughter who fell getting off the bus hit her head and smashed her cheek and was bleeding,alone and scared ur a real hero thanks not even worth the one star left

Friendly and brilliant driver on the 44 coming out from Edinburgh to Balerno around 2:30pm today Sunday 5th Jan.
Very heavy snow and he navigated the roads really well and with a smile for everyone 💚🙂

I'm mystifies by your critics. Lothian Buses is unfailingly reliable, the staff are polite and friendly - and I am so glad to live in a city which offers such a service.

A negative experience on multiple occasion from different drivers. I didn't know that asking for two single tickets is a trigger for hard stares and aggressive comments (twice this happened!). This is the worst company I've dealt with in Scotland. As opposed to bringing out the best of the nice and friendly Scottish culture, they show a very different face!

The app is terrible you really don’t know if a bus will show up or is cancelled, you don’t know if the bus will take you the whole way or just one stop further along the road, you want a reliable service stick with border buses.

If you’re honest with what service you are going to provide the we can adjust accordingly, don’t leave standing at a bus stop for half an hour wondering whether the next bus is going to show up.

Wayne is an absolute gem. He saw me in what i'd call, "mild distress" wrangling slightly wobbly mates towards the bus and he jumped out to help, instead of driving off. Good guy. Def deserves a wee pay rise

Late for a job at least once a week. Delay can reach up to one hour. Bus 400 has no backup at all and no online tracking available.
Today had to divert via the town,hopped on a bus 5 and a driver was so unapproachable. Total disappointment...

On Friday evening l traveled home from Princes Street to Newcraighall Village on a NO 30 bus and the traffic was busy.The driver of the bus was a very young lady named “Nicola”.As an ex bus driver,l want to compliment “Nicola” on the quality of her driving-absolutely exceptional.Smooth driving with never such as a jolt because her excellent use of the brakes.l spoke to “Nicola” on leaving the bus and complimented her and l said that l would send a customer review so l trust that you will let her know about this review.
