This is a really excellent calorie tracking app. If you pay the minimal annual charge, it's even better. I especially like: that you can quickly log and edit previous meal combinations, save recipes,... Leggi di più

I signed up for a 7 day free trial that was for an annual plan. Right as my 7 day trial was ending, I got an email offering a lifetime subscription for about 50% more than the annual plan. I checked my account and my annual plan had not updated in my account so I assumed it hadn't charged yet and paid for the lifetime plan. No where in the lifetime subscription offer did it mention the annual plan tied to the free trial. Then it cancelled the annual plan that had actually already been charged to my card but did not refund it. So I paid 80 for an annual plan and a few days later paid 125 for a lifetime membership but the 80 was not refundable. Very deceptive advertising and customer service did not respond to my answer about why. Just an autogenerated probably AI bot answer about the annual plan. Buyer beware.

I used The Lose it App for 5 years and loved it. I have to say goodbye now because the latest update has made it so difficult to even log your food. I don’t have time to do that in my life. I want simplicity. I really hope you’re listening to your longtime customers because if you’re not, you’re not going to have any left.

No notice of renewal. Charged even though I thought I’d already cancelled.

This company bang on about how supportive and caring they are!.
You are encouraged to train to be instructors but if you feel it is not for you having accessed their website training they have no care or understanding whatsoever and keep every penny not allowing you to withdraw or you are forced to complete somethong you no longer want to do.
Their terms and conditions which are quotdd to you are the only reply you get. No one has any compassion or understanding. They are rigid unbending and judgemental of others.
Don't do it unless you are 100% sure.

After paying a year subscription, the company added awful advertising and demanded a one time payment of $10 to remove them. This is not the kind of app I want to do business with. I walked away from my annual subscription and just moved on to a competitor, leaving my years of data behind. Not happy.

I’ve been using this app for about 10 years and I’ve been very happy with it in the past. But I am NOT happy with the latest update. It used to be relatively easy to find my foods (or something similar). Now it’s complicated to log almost anything. And there was no reason to move the “Done Logging” button to the middle of the screen.
Please put it back the way it was!!! Updates are supposed to make things easier, not more complicated!

I've used this app for years and have always loved it. What happened with this last update? It is so awkward to use now and it no longer calculates net carbs where you can see them in the log process. I've sent several requests for guidance on this, but they just go into cyberspace somewhere.I'm going to cancel my subscription when it expires in June.

I purchased the premium plan-but what I get most is Buy the LifeTime Plan- and the program does not seem to recognize the Premium purchase.
They used to be good years ago but recently the app stopped working for me. I paid for lifetime membership and I’ve reached out 4 times in the last 3 months and have received ZERO response. Unacceptable.
Six months to a year ago, I would’ve given this app five stars. As another review mentioned I paid for a lifetime membership because I was so happy with it. To be bluntly honest I don’t know who they hired to do their upgrade to their UI bit there was clearly no QC on that project. They took the best functioning parts of the app and decided to scrap it or make it ridiculously difficult to get to. The update feels like a first launch and what they had before would’ve been the refined product. You can’t find your historical data or see averages for seven days a week a month or a year anymore. Right at the top of the screen you used to click to get a calendar and you could just scroll straight through and go back years if you wanted now it’s at the bottom of the screen and when you go in, you have to use two different drop downs to tell it if you want it by day by week or by month and then you have to select the year so you took something that was a one click operation and turned it into three or someone can only see one month at a time. Trying to go through their process to get customer service is basically impossible. It runs you in loops doesn’t really answer the question and their chat feature is only able to give you minimal answers and the places they send you to get what you’re looking for the links are not correct. One complaint that predated this update that I’ve never really cared for and had hoped they would improve is that they allow users to upload their own recipes or to upload nutrition data and I swear some of these people must be incapable of reading a nutrition label. But the app could control some of this. Why do you allow people to put in calories as per serving with no explanation of what that serving is and that is 70% of their recipes or database also it’s 2026 when you type in the name of something it doesn’t even have like proper spellcheck.
Absolutely never using this again. Whatever update to the UI they did is the worst update or “facelift” I’ve ever seen from an app. I bought a lifetime membership because I liked the features that were offered. Now those features are no longer offered. I can only see 3 macronutrients at a time. Exercise calories are FORCED at the top. I can’t see my calories for the week. It’s horrendous. I’m switching apps even though this one is fully paid for because of how bad it is.
Lose It should worry about making the app user friendly and not how many ad to come up on the app.
The new header has made this app useless if you want to keep track of more than three macronutrients. After 6 years of genuinely positive experience, I have decided to stop using it.
This used to be a really excellent app. Once you logged all your food, there was a very simple drop-down menu at the top which would let you see the total contribution of each meal or snack to any particular nutrient that you wanted. It made it super easy to see how much fibre each meal or snack included or how much protein each meal or snack included. And there was also a really easy to view summary of how you’re doing so far for the whole week.
Then they decided to “modernize” with a stupid, gimmicky “infographic” circle showing only your calories and up to three nutrients for the day and I don’t know what the heck they did with the weekly summary - it seems to be gone.
And now you have to click through a calendar to even see daily summaries.
It used to be a very simple one click experience to see everything you needed at once and now all of that is gone.
And worst of all, they will not offer a refund to people who bought a lifetime subscription to an app they found useful, but which no longer exists.
The app is very good, ive used other Apps but for me this is the best.
However, it is an absolute nightmare to try to contact them. You get the worst auto replies that have nothing to do with your original question.
The cost in $ is far cheaper than in £ but i cant get to speak with anyone.
They changed the app. In the previous version, I was able to track multiple nutritional values for a lot of varibles. It was a godsend as I am a type 2 diabetic and have ckd. now with the new app I can only track on the log three values. Before I was tarcking four and could also add a few if I needed them. It was not broke, but they fixed ? it.
Do not find app easy to use once set up. Impossible to cancel the app during the free trial period. App won't recognize the subscription cancellation because there is no "subscription" during trial period so it is a scam to ding your credit card for at least the first billing period. So much for a "Free Trial".
LooseIt does what it says it will count calories, but that's as far as it goes for me. It records calories and has links to common food items, including calories, carbs, fiber and protein amounts. They have badges, awards, and gifts for achieving milestones which are not helpful. The "gifts" are marketing adverts in drag and with a poor likelihood that the "gift" will pan out in the purchase.
Problems: Complex, I only use calorie counting and weight logging. Ads are frequent and sometimes disguised as "gifts." Does not sync with Samsung watch. Does not allow multiple devices. Database is not managed - full of duplicates and miscalculated items.
I enjoyed the macro wheels and the at a glance of fiber, protein and other metrics. It’s a hassle now - goodbye!
I signed up for the 7-day free trial through Lose It’s website, but I was charged $39.99 for a full year immediately after the trial ended — even though I didn’t intend to continue. I canceled the subscription as soon as I saw the charge and reached out to support via their website and email.
It’s been 2 days and I still haven’t received a response or a refund. There is no live chat, no phone number, and their customer service is completely unresponsive.
My bank won’t help, and now I’m stuck with a charge I didn’t want. I’ve also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will keep posting publicly until this is resolved.
I just want my $39.99 refunded and for this to be taken seriously.
