We are very pleased with the quality of the work, the professionalism of all the tradespeople and administrative staff and the speed with which they were able to complete the job. They kept us well informed and prepared for the various steps of the build, and now we've got a new room in the loft space, which will make a huge difference for our family life.

Loftplan have been excellent from start to finish with our loft conversion. The communication from Nicola in the office has been great, Bob and Kevin have supervised the whole project and responded promptly to any minor snags. Ben was brilliant at starting the building work off, he was very friendly, skilled, and very respectful of our property and privacy, Dean the carpenter did a great job with matching our existing staircase and skirting boards. The roofers and plasters were all hard working and easy to have around.The price we paid was the price we were quoted. All in all I would definitely recommend!

Our whole experience with Loftplan has been a positive one from start to finish. The organisation from Bob was impeccably efficient. He would visit the job regularly and always sort out any queries we had promptly. Given covid restrictions, the team worked hard out in the cold in a December start to get the job underway, respecting our home and family issues with isolating at times.

The work was carried out to a high spec and the whole team of staff seemed very committed to Loftplan and often came in on Saturdays to push the job on, all of them experts in their own field and who were a pleasure to have in the house. As a busy family we put our trust in them in our home and they didn’t disappoint. It was nice to come home and see the changes on a daily basis and nothing was too much trouble if we wanted to add on extras.

Our wardrobes are a focal point and the amazing work that Martin the carpenter put into them is testament to his skills in this field, we couldn’t be more pleased.

We would highly recommend this team of dedicated staff and thanks to Nicola who kept everything in order; we are missing everyone being around!

Due to outgrowing our current property we required a loft extension and approached Loftplan at the start of 2021.
We went with a two bedroom velux conversion which started in August 2021 and completed in January 2022.

The positives
- The quality of the build is excellent and we are really happy with the end result. There were a couple of really minor snags and Kevin came round, made a list and they were quickly resolved. The highlight is the new staircase that matches the existing staircase exactly.
- All of the teams involved in the build were friendly and professional. No issues at any point of the build.
- The price quoted was the price paid. It was clear at outset exactly what was included and what wasn't, there was never any confusion or unexpected costs.

The build did take a little longer than I hoped but this was due to some of the builders and my family catching Covid which caused delays. Given we were carrying out a major building project during a pandemic this is to be expected.

I recommend Loftplan and would happily use them again if needed.

We were in desperate need of an additional bedroom, plus en-suite, for our growing family leading us to contact LoftPlan to find out if they could make that a reality. From the very start Nic B answered all the questions we had and gave us further information that we hadn’t considered. It didn’t feel like a sales pitch in any way, more advice that we would need to help us decide. The designs were created in good time and we were consulted about specifics such as window sizes / placements, lights, sockets, stairs and etc etc. Scaffolding went up soon after contracts were signed, then dormer framework fabrication (special mention to Lee and Ricky for their precision, hard work and friendliness) was completed in less than 4 weeks. Extremely well insulated and quality materials used throughout. Electricians (Ron and team) Plasterers, plumber (Alan), Roofers, Carpenter (Dave) all excellent tradesmen with meticulous attention to detail. The whole LoftPlan team are very hardworking, and overall we would highly recommend using them for your conversion job.

Loftplan were fantastic from start to finish. It was so calm and enjoyable watching the changes being made everyday. Dene and Dave were a pleasure to have around the house and were so respectful of our house and family. Bob and Kevin made sure that we were kept upto date with every step and nothing was too much trouble. Shawn and Alan the plumber and carpenter were experts in their craft and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. And finally Nicola was always on hand to help us with any queries we had along the way. I would definitely recommend loftplan to everyone.

We started work on our loft conversion in August 2020. We had an unexpected need for planning permission which no one had anticipated but this was handled quickly and efficiently by the Loftplan office. Luke and John were our initial team and they made a great start to the job, keeping us informed along the way. We hit a few queues once we were waiting on the stairs and plastering but all of these jobs were done to a great standard.
We were impressed by all of the team who came to work on our job - Reggie the plumber, Ron and his electrical team, the plasterers, scaffolders amongst others were all polite, professional and respectful of our property.
We are really enjoying our new space now in the loft and are so happy that we decided to go ahead with this project.

After getting several different quotes we decided to go with Loftplan.

As soon as the paperwork was signed, and a date was giving for the work to commence we knew we made the right decision!! From our first visit with Nick, we felt very safe with what was going to happen to our house.

The scaffold team were very professional and polite and explained how this was be constructed, also allowing access to house and driveway for a very busy family of 6! Very understanding of us needing to use our bi-fold doors at the back of the property and erected the scaffold around our requests with no hesitation.

The first fix started with Dan and Bill, the communication, guidance, and professionalism were second to none! All steps advised. I was very heavily pregnant at the time but still knew exactly what was happening during the first fix. I even got some pictures taken of the loft because I was unable to see. They worked consistently hard in all weather conditions.

The communication from the supervisors Bob and Kev was great, always kept in the loop of everything happening. Any questions we had they were answered straight away and made sure anything needing doing that we always had the right man for the job!

The second fix started with plastering – the guys are amazing at what they do, the finish is outstanding. Dave the carpenter is top quality, you didn’t even have to ask of how you wanted the finishing touches to look, he already had them in mind. We were amazed at the workmanship.

The plumbers had complicated job with our ensuite Aqualisa shower, the tight swing into our small ensuite everything was measured to the tiniest mm to make sure there were no collides with other areas. Again, always advised with every step.

Nicola in the office is very approachable and communicated with us every step of the way from start to finish.

Would I recommend Loftplan?
Absolutely without no hesitation! I cannot pick one fault with this company.

In our experience, good builders communicate well, rectify problems when they occur, come up with creative solutions when needed and most importantly, finish the job by seeing to the snags.  We found Loftplan to be extremely good at all these things and although the job took a long time to complete - a fault of world circumstances more than any fault of Loftplan's - we were extremely pleased with the result which was, at the end of the day, what we cared about most.  We also really enjoyed working with Loftplan because they had pride in their work and wanted it to be good - this takes so much stress out of a build because you don't have to be on anyone's back chasing people to get things right.  They are doing that for you.  We had a couple of hiccups during our build that meant work had to be undone to get it right.  In previous builds, our builders have refused to unpick their work and we have had to live with it.  This time, Bob saw the problem even before we did and got the guys to re-do some work that set them back around 4 days.  This experience meant that when we spotted another problem, I didn't have to sit up worrying all night because I knew it would be sorted out immediately.  During building projects however much you plan, problems can and do occur and for us, the way these problems are handled is the difference between having a good or bad experience.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Loftplan and if i could, I would use them for every building project we do in the future.  I would especially like to mention Ben whose cheerful manner and hard work set us off to such a good start with the company.  We were very sad when he left for another job!  Many thanks to everyone else too - everyone on site was a pleasure to have around.  As for our loft, it has definitely changed our lives already.

Loftplan has done a great job converting our loft. Their floor design ensures that as little as possible height is lost, resulting in more usable floorspace. Team is very professional with great attention to detail and timely and responsive communication. Very pleased!

From start to finish, the guys I worked with in this project were all great, from Nic providing the initial design, Mike and Callum doing the structural work in my loft, the guys who installed the new stairs going up to the loft and the plasterers, Sam the plumber, Dean the carpenter and Kevin the 2nd fix super visor, they all made my loft conversion project as smooth as possible. Great communication through out, advice and guidance on decisions I had to make, great quality work, and really responsive if something needed some additional attention. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend Loftplan.

We used Loftplan to for our loft conversion and they were fantastic from start to finish. Extremely professional and friendly, totally organised and effective with project management and a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled with our loft room - can’t recommend them highly enough.

We got several quotes and settled on Loftplan as they also did the loft of our neighbour. They were everything we could have wanted for such a major project. After getting several different quotes we decided to go with Loftplan, we have a timber framed structure and Loftplan were the only ones that were completely confident in how they would carry out the job, without potential additional charges. We felt confident that they knew what they were doing.

The first fix started with Mike and Andy, we can’t recommend them highly enough, the quality of their work was outstanding, they were friendly and accommodating. Also highly recommend Sam the plumber who is very skilled at his job. Shaun the carpenter who worked tirelessly and patiently to get things exactly how we wanted them. Then finally Brian who did the final finishing touches to get things perfect ready for decorating.

We’re very happy with the huge space that we now have and after deliberating for so long we’re so glad we decided to go ahead with the work.

A truly great experience from start to finish. From the initial planning phase, on to the first fit team and then the second fit team, the entire process was really well communicated and completed. With all parts of the build managed by Loftplan, it was stress-free for us. A big thanks to Nicola, Ben, Mike, Dean, Bob & Kevin for being so professional. Usually I am not the type of person to write a review after completion of works but in this case we are absolutely delighted and have had our expectations surpassed with the loft conversion carried out by Loftplan.

From the very start the communication between Nicola and the office staff and ourselves was relaxed and whenever we needed answers the response was quick and efficient. The use of great tradesmen and supervisors like Kevin and Bob made the job a lot easier and shout out's will also go to Mike & Cam for their structural work, the scaffolding lads who looked after our rear glass conservatory and all of the interior trades who were all professional and very approachable. The build went really well and the difference it has made is astounding. Disruption was kept to a minimum and we were always kept in the loop regarding schedules and any changes or indeed selection of materials and extras.
The finished project has surpassed our expectations and has provided us with a very beautiful and spacious bedroom and en-suite.
We would recommend them without hesitation.

We had loftplan complete our conversion and from start to finish the work was out standing. Big thanks to Warren, Jordan who started the job and helped me up the ladder (I have a fear of ladders). The carpentry that Martin did is perfect. I 100% would recommend them.

We're so glad we chose Loftplan to add a double dormer extension to our chalet bungalow. Whilst the quote was slightly higher than using a local builder, the extension was more comprehensive than a conventional 'loft conversion' and involved reconfiguring our entire upstairs floor plan, so we really needed help with project management.

Throughout the entire project, all tradesmen had a refreshing, professional and positive can-do attitude. We were working from home throughout but as much disruption as possible was mitigated. All tradesmen were a joy to be around (as a youngish female, I haven't always found this to be the case with other companies).

Loftplan definitely put the customer first! With an office presence and dedicated building supervisors, you are constantly in the loop with excellent communication throughout - we didn't think it was possible for the project to run so smoothly. The payment schedule means you pay a percentage once a milestone has been hit - we found this an extremely fair and sensible approach.

A huge shout-out to Ritchie (our first fit builder) who was extremely hard working and reliable. He worked tirelessly to ensure minimal disruption - a previous builder said we would be out of our bedroom for 2 months, but Ritchie ensured it was only 2 days! At the end of each day, he closed off access routes to the unfinished attic to prevent our 2 young curious cats from getting into trouble!

The electricians - Dave, Andy and Charlie were fantastic and were happy to do extra electric work for us (which we paid them separately for). Same for the plumbers who did a great job installing our new bathroom. Dave the carpenter had an excellent eye for detail when building our new wardrobes and banister. Kevin the second fit supervisor also has a great eye for detail and was extremely communicative.

Whilst Loftplan cover almost everything - you do have to employ a separate bathroom tiler and decorator at the end. Loftplan explained this upfront - but we did struggle to find a reliable and efficient external tiler, which held up installation of the bathroom. This was down to availability of tilers though - not Loftplans fault.

Compared to our neighbours who completed the same extension work with a local builder and several subcontractors, our experience was stress free and absolutely worth the extra cost. We're just gutted that Loftplan don't do kitchens - our next job! We 100% recommend them to anyone who is looking for the most stress free way to convert their loft!

We are extremely happy customers and would happily recommend Loftplan to others wishing to have a loft conversion. We would also certainly use Loftplan again in the future!! In Covid restricted times, the build kept close to the anticipated schedule even during difficult times and sourcing difficulties. Work was completed efficiently and to a high standard. The team we met were friendly, professional and kept us updated on the day to day progression. The end product is better than we had hoped for when we first decided to go down this route. Thankyou Loftplan for massively improving our family home :)
